Philadelphia area lowcarbers get together in Sept '04!

Please post here if you are interested. I'll keep a running track we can contact the restaurant with the number of people expected. Ruby's was great last time. I having been wanting to try Friday's though. A less busy time is best for the restaurant. I would think mid-afternoon on a Saturday is a good idea like last time. Let's vote on saturday 9/18 or 9/25 say around 2pm? What do you all think? I am gonna post this on the other thread's as well....but again please reply to the new thread that I start. It will be easier to keep track. Can't wait to meet you all

I will go regardless but my vote is for

9/25 and TGIFridays on City Ave.

The 25th won't work for me, but the 18th is fine.

TGI's is closer to me, so that would get my vote. If it turns out Jeannie can't come, then we should have it in Philly or the 'burbs. She's the one in Jersey. Unless there are other Jersey folks coming. I don't remember seeing any though.

If it turns out the 25th is better for everyone else, that's cool too. I will just try and make the next one.

Hi Kelly - either date works for me, but I'd rather do TGIF's - I doubt I'd ever find Deptford - lol. I'm the kind that leaves a bread crumb trail when I leave my desk for the bathroom, so I can find my way back!

Hi Everyone! Sorry I didn't get back to you right away. Let's go with 9/18 then so Julie can come!

akmd65 ~ I am really excited to meet you too. You are such an inspiring member of this board. As for directions .... Do you want to come over the Walt Whitman or Ben Franklin? Both are easy. I can be over the bridge in 15 mins or so from there. From the Walt you take I-76 West (Schuylkill Expressway) to Route 1 South (aka - City Ave) exit. This exit is on the left hand side of I-76....not the right hand side like most exits. At the bottom of the ramp turn right on (City Ave) but get into the left lane immediately. TGIFridays is on the left hand side as soon as you get off the ramp. If you take the Ben ya just have to take I-676 East to I-76 West and continue the above instructions. I can try and make mapquest directions for ya if ya need them. Let me know. I will PM you my cell phone number in case you have trouble finding it. 2:00 would be better for me. Dd's would still be napping, making dh more accepting of me going out - LOL. Does that mess everyone up? 3:00 or 4:00 would also be ok. Whatever works for the majority is good w/ me.

Excellent directions, by the way. I always admire folks who can give them well. If only I would run into you when I get lost places!

2:00 is better for me as well. As I recall at the first one - they practically had to ask us to leave, we stayed so long; an earlier start would give us more 'gab' time. Glad we are making this happen - looking forward to the old and new faces!
