Rockford, IL people?

Anyone here from the Rockford, IL area? I'd like to get together every so often as a group.

Hi, Michelle:

I am Karen and do not currently live in Rockford, but moved from there 2 years ago. We love Wisconsin, but there is no place like home.

Hope your low carb plan is going good for you. I am talking myself into getting serious. Isn't it difficult with summer BBQs, you always go for the bun!

I'm in Madison, but would come down to Rockford if you ever have a dinner Gathering. We've held a few up here as well, with 16 people coming to the last one in February.

Heck... I've traveled to Cleveland, Kentucky and Tennessee for them and I'm headed to St.Louis this weekend for that one.

Cool - a dinner gathering sounds great. I know how it is with travelling to far away "places' to meet people you talk to on the web. I'm a member of a web-based truck club, and I've been to Louisville, KY annual the past 3 years for their national meet, and also to Las Vegas earlier this year to meet the LV members! It was a great time.

Renka - the summer BBQ's aren't bad, it's the two birthday parties that we hosted (with cake...) and a family reunion that did it for me. I managed to keep myself pretty much at bay. Having the cake gone from the fridge helps!

Thanks for all the replies!!! I see "NaturalMama" is inviting people this weekend. Maybe we can do this later on in the month!

Any suggestions as to where/when? I don't mind driving within a few hours of Rockford.
