Where's the Philly Group?

Just checking in to see if anyone in the Phila. area is still here and interested in a summer get together? I am in suburbia, just ouside Phila, and would love to meet some local LCers. We almost got to it earlier, but it fell apart.

Anyone interested?

I'm actually right near Willow Grove, Abington actually. We're really close.

Maybe you could each post a good date and possible location suggestion. I think we had problems w/ this last time, finding a spot central to all.

Maybe Center City would be a good choice? Halfway for Jeannie, and I don't mind taking the train.

The next few weeks are bad for me, I'm getting my wisdom teeth out next Friday and that will kill that weekend. Maybe early August? Are weekends better or weekdays? I'm pretty flexible, but weekdays I would be joined by 2 cute little girls

cant believe i found some one in the area im in hatboro.. some time in august sounds good .. i havent been to philly much so i really dont know of any places out there.. but i will keep in touch and we can see what we come up with..weekends are better work till 5 on weekdays..

Dont you all want to meet with people that are going through the same thing you are ,, Lots of moral support and fun is what your going to get out of this good day...

Why don't we try a suburbia get together. At least the 3 of us are close by - Abington, Hatboro and Warminster. I go to church at the Regal Cinema in Warrington and most of my friends either live in Warminster or Hatboro, so I know them well. What do you think?

Anyone else out there in Philly's suburbs? Gotta' be more of us LCers in the area.

I work during the week in N. Philly. So weekends are definitely better for me. I am off the week of 8/23 but will be home with dd (7yo). She doesn't think much of this "stupid diet making her daddy skinny"

So I probably shouldn't bring her. LOL. I've tried to talk to her and explain being healthy. She tells me I am not fat and don't need to diet and she doesn't want a skinny daddy. I once tried to get her off white bread when she was in preschool and she told her teacher "I am not eating my lunch because I don't like this bread but my mommy won't give me any white bread anymore. So I am not eating."

So I got a note sent home. She had told me she was eating it! I love her dearly but needless to say I'd rather not bring her to a LCFs get together.

August a lot people might be on vaca. So I'll be brave and suggest a date. How does Saturday September 18th sound? That'll give people lotsa time to read this and plan for sitters and stuff. Let me know what ya all think. I have been wanting to try Friday's on City ave. That's great for me.

anyone? I am going to make a seperate thread for interest in getting together still. Please post there if you are interested. I'll keep a running track we can contact the restaurant with the number of people expected. Ruby's was great last time. They were very accomodative....and at their suggestion gave us all individual checks. A less busy time is best for the restaurant. I would think mid-afternoon on a Saturday is a good idea like last time. Let's vote on satirday 9/18 or 9/25 say around 2pm? What do you all think? I am gonna post this on the other thread's as well....but again please reply to the new thread that I start. It will be easier to keep track. Can't wait to meet you all
