Glad to hear from a fellow mountaineer. I love WV. Been to a lot of places ,but always glad to get home.
Went on a 4 wheeler ride Monday with the Oldie Wheeler Club and I'm still sore. We went 34 miles and 20 miles were nasty. We left at 10: and were loaded at 4:30. It used to be my favorite ride now I think I'm getting to old for it. We had 43 bikes (4-wheelers) We call them bikes.Thier were 48 people in all. We have a bike that s made to ride double. Its the new Bombadier 650. We have 2 bikes but I cant drive any more to hard on my shoulders. So we traded one in on the Bomb. Love it. Carol43

I claim the bomb as mine.hahah I put a cage on the front of the Bomb and my 3 poodles and I take off. We live in the country and all kinds of back roads to ride on....

Hi guys, I'm moving to WV at the end of July... just wanted to say hi... I will be in Elkins or around there... but I don't have a poodle, just a mutt...

We come up to wv a cpl of times a year and either stay in elkins for the forest festival or head over to canaan valley. We plan to retire up there when the time comes. Our boys think if you don't have christmas in WV then it just isn't christmas lol

Hi, Sherry! You'll like it in Elkins, up in the mountains, small town feel. They have a great festival in October... Mountain State Forest Festival. Great parades and the whole town gets behind it.

I'm in Morgantown, btw, HOME OF THE WEST VIRGINIA MOUNTAINEERS!!! (Sorry, couldn't let the Herd get away with that!)

Hi guys, I know I will love it there because I lived there 10 years before coming out here to Texas, so I guess you could say I'm going home... I worked in Clarksburg and lived in a little town called Jane Lew for about 2 years before that it was Elkins and Beverly.... it is a beautiful place... and yes the Mountain State Forest Festival is a lot of fun... getting together would be a lot of fun... we will have to plan on that...

I know where Jane Lew is. You were just about an hour down the road from me. Isn't that where Grandma's House is? LOL They still show those silly commercials with the guy dressed up like Grandma.

Would love to get together with other LCF in WV. Just say when and where.

Kim, Oh my stars... I hadn't thought of the dumb commercials in ages... but grandmas house is in Nutter Fort... lol its not to far from Jane Lew though... We will have to make plans to get together after I get moved and have everything worked out... hugs...
