Hi Carole, I am not from Toronto, but will be visiting the week of July 12th. Can you give me some good low-carb restaurant suggestions? We will be staying in Downtown, but plan to venture out a bit to see other areas.

Hi Mur, Swiss Chalet is a good place to eat in Toronto

Frank and I don't eat out as a rule but often order the grilled chicken salad from Swiss Chalet, but today on Oprah they said that some places put sugar on their grilled chicken, you can't hardly trust anyone anymore when it comes to food. You will find good food in down town Toronto. If I was able I'd cook you dinner myself. I should get you to bring a truck load of CLA PLUS. We could just driink that. Wouldn't you just know that it can't be found in Canada at least I've called everywher in Toronto. Thanks for writing Carole poetonascooter@sympatico.ca

Wow, hi neighbours

Hi Dora is that close to St. Catherines?
Hi smokefree, Uxbridge, I've heard of it but I don't get out much so don't know where it is. I'm on my second smokefree days and could scream with frustration.
Hi Lindsy, well we really are neighbours, how are you doing?

Hi again, Carole -

Keswick is located at the bottom of Lake Simcoe which is 20 mins north of Newmarket; or, its 12 mins north of the very end of the 404 - depends on how fast you drive lol

Good luck with those cigarettes - I've been trying to quit everyday for 5 years ......

Have a great day!! Dora

p.s. - I was in Uxbridge yesterday - it's such a pretty town!

Hi -

Beaverton is north/east of me, about 35 minutes, on Highway 12 and Woodbridge is south/west, close to an hours drive, give or take.

By the way Carole, I'm looking for some liquid Stivia to make strawberry jam. Would I be able to get it in a health food store or can I find it at one of our local grocery stores i.e. Dominion, Zehrs, etc?

Thanks, Dora

Hi Dora we have friends in Beaverton and Woodville. I've never heard of the liquid? Let me know how your jam turns out.

Hi Carole -

Were you inquiring about Woodbridge or Woodville? lol
If you look at your posts you'll notice the different names.

Woodville is about 35 mins east of me.

I made an error as well in the name of the sweetner used for jams, it's called Stevia. So far I can't find it in Zehr's and Shoppers Drug Mart has never heard of it - but there's a recipe for jam at www.splenda.ca that I might try instead.

If you get a minute can you check it out and see what you think?

Thanks, Dora

Hello Hellraiser! and Welcome!

Congrats on your loss! Isn't it exciting? I too am a newbie of about 7 weeks and have lost 20 lbs and one size..

I just learned of a thread to-day that is all fellow Canadians. If you go to Challenges on the bullentin board and look for "Canada" started by zdenka, you will find different people writing in.

Hope to see you there.... Dora
