Joann,
I've been thinking about doing the alternative menu plan. What happens after seven days of that menu plan? Also, I don't have the ability to buy products online or at Lindora before Monday, which is when I would start the AMP. Do you happen to know Of other products that are similar to Lindora, that would Be sufficient for the AMP plan that can be purchased in stores over the counter? I'm afraid of completely crashing my metabolism? Does anyone else have concerns of what this plan may do to the metabolism? I think however, that I need to do something drastic/different to get things moving again. I've been on the plan six weeks and have lost between 10 and 12 pounds. Most of all the weight was lost in the first one to two weeks. I'm getting very frustrated. And by the way I love all the support and ideas that come from this site!

I'm with you Rachlval, have lost about 8 pounds and most were in the first 2 weeks too, it is frustrating. I had a little plateau, and actually blew it and went up a few pounds, but I did't do the plateau menu. I lost about 3 pounds last week and am at my lowest now but I still have a bit to go.
Are you close to your goal? I think it comes off slower when your body is close to a healthy weight. Did you try the plateau menu? I think you are doing great! Even if you are losing a pound a week, you will get to your goal and I think it's healthier to lose it a bit slower, especially if you are close to goal, your metabolism won't go all crazy and it will be easier to keep it off.

Yes Skylesymom, I did the plateau menu with no change in weight. I'm not close to my goal... I'm at 160, and my goal is 130. How did you break your plateau? Good work, btw!

So I went off plan a bit yesterday and well for one had some Kahlua. Regained maybe a pound.

Now for my protein day!

Here we go a new week everyone!

I hate to say it Rachlval, but I broke my plateau by cheating One night I was so frustrated and we has some people over and I had put out cheese and crackers, I would typically only have a few bites of cheese but I was angry so I had 4 crackers. I was thinking, "I'm gonna hate myself in the morning." But I had no carbs with dinner and figured I'd just get back on track the next day. To my surprise I was down a pound and a half the next day I told the nurse and she said she's heard of that happening before. I got back on plan immediately and have been slowly losing ever since I have about 14 pounds to go. How tall are you?

I made it thru another protein day! Almost went thru the drive thru after work but instead came home and made a choc protein shake. Down another 2lbs.

BTW newbies and oldies heres a handy tip, if you click the User Control Panel on the far left your subscribed threads will come up. When you click the box on the far left of the thread it will go the post you haven't seen yet. Then you can view the most recent posts to keep up to date without scrolling thru all of them. HTH

Hi friends!!

I have finally committed to sticking to LFL !! Summer is so close and I can't stand spending another summer uncomfortable and unhappy with the way I look.

I am on day 2 of my protein days, I lost 4.2 lbs in one day !! I guess I was holding on to a lot of water!

I am nervous for Easter Sunday at my boyfriends place this weekend. Any tips for family holiday eating?? I'll try and stick to the vegetables and turkey and skip the potatoes, stuffing and desserts.

I would love to hear about everyone and their success with LFL!!
