I put .8 back on yesterday. French fries. That'll teach me.
![]() Joann, I tried to quote your last message but couldn't figure out how to go from one thread to the next. I am hoping the lipotropic injections make a difference, I am about 17 pounds away from goal. I did one last week before I went to NY and was down a pound the next day but I managed to undo that! Rachlval- Hi! I'm Ellie, nice to meet you I'm new here and to LFL too. I also like a glass of wine here and there. Trying to behave but all bets were off in NY! Lately when I have been out with friends and they are having cocktails I have had a vodka and soda with a shake of crystal light pink lemonade. I would prefer a glass of wine but the vodka has no carbs, the only problem is you do get a buzz fast with no carbs and then it's hard to resist all of the other temptations! ![]() Hope everyone has a good week! |

Starting metabolic adjustment today.
I was only up 2/10 of a pound yesterday, which was suprising. Hubby and I were busy nonstop Friday - Sunday. We were in BevHills for a few tv cast panels (The Walking Dead, Revolution, and Once Upon A Time). We were really only able to eat breakfast and one somewhat regular meal (no fruit) during those days. We had access to an open bar and a table filled with pizza & munchies. They had a glass bowl, that I swear I could put my head in, FILLED with M&Ms. Oh my. I avoided the room the first night. I made sure to have bars in my purse to eat during the panel and a shake-in-a-bottle for the drive home

Hi All. I started day one of Metabolic Adjustment today. I like the extra food! So as long as I stay within 1.5 pounds of my weight when I started the adjustment, I will stay on this for 14 days and start my next 10 week program.
I am feeling great! Have great energy! BUT - there is always a but - I miss pizza. |

I thought some Lindora Clinics were suppose to be getting pizza and ice cream. I don't think my clinic was one of them. The office manager made it sound like it was an actual prepared pizza (unlike those box ones I've seen on another site where you have to add water to mix the "dough" and "sauce" and add your own veggies/cheese) but your only allowed 1/4 of it.
Next time I'm at a pizza buffet I plan on doing what I read over in the main lobby - get the pizza and scrape the yummy goodness off and toss the crust. |

Nice to meet you Ellie!
I live in Ohio but have a friend in LA, whom I will be visiting in a couple weeks. She's the one who got me on LFL, and she's being seen at Lindora clinic for consultation. I'm SO glad that I will be on vacation with another LFL'r! While there, I'm going to Lindora to purchase food to bring home (and save on their very high shipping rates!) Any suggestions on what I should buy, and what to avoid? |

Now I just buy things from Lindora that I can't get elsewhere or cheaper - like the chocolate/vanilla/mocha wafers . I'll only eat those on protein days since they are 13 carbs. I did find one site that sells wafers but it has 8 carbs per serving but I'm not sure if it is the same size as the Lindora ones. I'll have to investigate and order some, hubby won't mind since he LOVES these things. I gave him a box for Valentine's day. I'd also look into getting some of the KOT stuff. They have a chocolate chip pancake mix. I think hubby tried it and liked it alot. Plus it has less carbs (5 compared to 14) than the Lindora pancakes. I've had the KOT Toffee bar and liked it. They are super small compared to a regular bar but only 7 carbs. I've stayed away from the KOT chocolate chip cookies and Tea Biscuits - but they get rave reviews. Yup, so wafers and KOT would be the only things I would buy from Lindora. Everything else has a substitute you can find elsewhere for cheaper. |

Joann, I have a few questions:
Are you eating all the fruit on metabolic adjustment? It seems like a lot of fruit. On the weight loss phase, I only ate fruit in the morning and skipped lunch and dinner. Are you eating all the snacks? I have such a full feeling but I need to reset my metabolic rate. I lost great during the weight loss but at the end I was stuck at the same weight for almost a week - I did back to back plateau menus. I added extra exercise, changed up my foods - the scale wouldn't change. Any advice, suggestions and guidance would be greatly appreciated. What website do you shop at for similar weight loss products to Lindora? What are your favorite Lindora products? I feel like every time I go to the clinic there are new products I didn't notice before. Thank you.

I can answer the part about different websites (which are cheaper in both products and shipping!) One is nashua nutrition and another is my diet shopz. I have ordered from both and many of the EXACT same products.
It has been said that all these products come from the same manufacturing plant and then they are packaged for the different sellers. |

I have to say I felt VERY weird having all the fruit. I think I only had 1/2 an orange at lunch the other day because I just couldn't bring myself to write/eat down 14 carbs for a full. But the nurse did say that it was ok to have that full orange because this is the time we are adding carbs back in and to see how your body is adjusting. I'm slowing gaining in ounces - not a full pound just yet. If this continues I'll probably just stick to the regular menu for the remaining days of metabolic and not add in the extra servings of fruit/protein/grains.
I was the opposite - eating fruit at lunch and dinner but opting for grain at breakfast. In theory once should be moving into counting calories once they transition off metabolic into lifetime - said the nurse. I won't be moving into lifetime after the metabolic is done since I plan on doing another program. I know in a previous metabolic stage I did not add the grain in for lunch or dinner - felt silly eating 1/2 a bread since it didn't jive with the whole meal. I'm also not eating that last snack at night - not hungry. I am chosing the lower Lindora carbs stuff as my snacks - things that are only 1 or 2 carbs. If I'm at home I'd opt for some of those 0 carb options. The last two weeks were a struggle as well. Took two week for just 2 pounds to come off and yes, I had to do 2 rounds of plateau during that time. I figured my body was just DONE and wanted a break. I've only ordered from my diet shopz. The only products I can't get there are the wafers. I bought 3 boxes the other day (plus a box of the sweet & salty peanut bars) when they had a 20% off sale in the clinics. Diet Direct is another I plan on ordering soon since they have some sort of wafer I'd like to try. |

Nashua has the wafers, but I am not sure about the size. I will check and report back!
OK I am back -they are listed as Proti-Thin protein wafer squares. 5 servings in a box/2 squares a serving. Vanilla, dark choc and mocha. $13.75 regular price -sometimes on sale. Nashua also has free shipping over $99, sometimes over $49 and always has weekly specials. You can sign up for sale emails and they come every week. Oh Cactus - those wafers sure look like the ones Lindora selles! Even the nutritional value is roughly the same - same carbs but 10 less calories. The ones at Diet Direct are 8 carbs - which makes me wonder if they are smaller. ETA - found them on NN. They are listed as ProtiDiet Protein Wafer Bar.
I'll have to place an order! They are cheaper then Lindora's. - $18.50 for a box of 5! Thanks for the info!!! Just saw that shipping for under $99 is only $5.95. Wow! Last edited by JQuintero; 03-08-2013 at 10:22 AM.. |

I made sure to have some watermelon today. But seeing as I have a navel, valencia, and a tangerine tree in full bloom - its rather silly to be spending money on fruit KWIM.
Weighed in today and was still at what I was at yesterday. Nurse reassured me that yup eating those 3 oranges (when I get there) and the 3 servings of grain ...yes the carbs will be higher. She said carbs during metabolic should be between 80 and 100. I had never had anyone tell me that before. |
