Thank you for starting the thread! Your stats look great! Today is my protein day - I like to have my protein day on Monday - gets me ready for the week.

Today, is week 7 of my first Lindora program. I am very happy to report that I have lost 29.2 pounds so far! I am averaging about 4 pounds per week. I could not be happier with the program. I feel great!

My goal this week is to exercise more. I have been walking but I want to add more physicial exercise. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Monday is my protein day as well - the clinics usually suggest Mondays

Had a great weekend and weighed in almost 3lbs less. Not too bad seeing as I did have chicken and shrimp for two of my plateau menu dinners.

I'm in my 7th week as well and have lost 20lbs this program. I really have to say doing Zumba 2 times a week really helped me lose so much during this program (plus inches in my thighs and hips). I've now upped it to adding in 2 hours on Saturday (zumba & turbokick). I even tried a new class today - RIPPED - which incorporates weights.

My mother-in-law's birthday is Wednesday and my sister's is Sunday. We are scheduled to go to Olive Garden and Farrell's. Must really plan for those.

Sue - Are you following the book or going into clinics? Are we talking the weekly protein day or the 3 you do before starting a program?

Just remember on a protein day you eat every 2 hours and you should be reaching that 50-60 grams of carbs. If its the 3 in a row you taper down the carbs each day (80-70-60). You can eat anything off the protein list (not sure if this is in the book but it is inside the daily action plan) or use any of Lindora's products.

If hubby would have his way he would eat hardboiled eggs and cheese on his protein days. I get on him - telling him he needs to eat more CARBS because legitamely you could eat a hamburger patty every 2 hours but have no carbs for the day.

Found this in the LFL In A Nutshell sticky thread.

This was posted by LadyN and gives an example of a protein day with out using any of Lindora's products.

Breakfast: 1 hb egg
Snack: 1 South Beach cinnamon raison bar and 1 c of coffee
snack: edamame 1/2 C.
Lunch: Habinero chicken and Turkey sausage (Benetino's brand)
Snack: Cheese stick
snack: chicken
Diner: Yogurt
snack: yogurt

That usually gives me around 45 carbs total for the day.

I do journal. I use a daily action plan that I picked up at the clinic.
If you google lindora action plan pdf - one of the first links that pop up should be from Rite-Aid and its a PDF file you can save and print off. I've used it on days I've forgotten my journal at home.

I'm using a mixture of Lindora and "other products". If you google "diet health and sport WISE" it should lead you to a shopz. So while this other place has comparable products I have to pay attention to the carbs. Their vanilla shake has 6 while Lindora's has 11. Hubby NEEDS that extra 5 to keep his carb levels up and for blood sugar levels.

Googling "wonder slim" will lead you to another direct source of other lindora like products. I haven't ordered from them yet, but with Lindora's prices increasing on products I need to be on the lookout for deals.

Hi Sue,

This is what I ate on my protein day:
Breakfast: 1 egg
Snack: Fage 0% Greek Yogurt
Lunch: Chicken Breast
Snack: Hard Boiled egg - but I did not eat the yolk
Dinner: 2 lamb chops
No snack.

Another great protein is the CarbMaster yogurt available at Ralphs. Only 4 grams of carbs, 60 calories. Yummy!

Light and Fit Dannon is good too - they have a Greek so that would be good for higher protein and also a carb control one as well..

Also another site is nashua nutrition - every product imaginable! I love the Lindora site but sometimes gets costly though they have good deals though high shipping. I know now
they have free shipping but regular prices. You guys are lucky you can pick up products in person!

Shipping is insane. I just palced an order and eventhough products were 30% off the shipping along was a little over $12. Darn hubby and his special needs!!!

I was up a pound yesterday. I can't think of a reason why except I did try out a new excersize class that involved weights. My thighs hurt but it was impossible to raise my arms to high. There is still a bit or soreness today.

It was suggested that I drink 100oz of water. YEAH RIGHT. I'm lucky if I can get in 64oz a day. Getting water in is the one thing I just can't do. I have an overactive bladder and have to urinate ever 5 minutes to begin with LOL

I'm opting to do a mostly protein day since later tonight we are heading ot to Olive Garden. I need to go browse their menu and preplan my meal.

Love laughing cow cheese wedges.. Will try the other sites.. As Lindora has great products but pricey.. ~sue

I'm not one who likes egg salad. Hubby could eat it. You could try the Walden Farms mayo - has no carbs and calories.

I wonder if a little fat-free mayonnaise would be OK? I am thinking even a tablespoon (50 calories at the most?) It would help with egg salad, tuna, salmon etc.

I am wondering if I should start weighing daily? I have never been a daily weigher, but I am not really doing things by the book if I am not?

Thank you everyone for the posts of all the ideas, web sites and also the incentive to keep going. So much weight loss from everyone! I have been on the program for 8 weeks, lost 18 lbs. I am in dire need of encouragement as I am taking 2 vacations in March.. I am going to visit my sister for her 60th birthday for a week, then off to Costa Rica for 2 weeks. I do hope I can stay on the program and make the right choices. I feel like a fish out of water knowing I won't be home with my normal "routine" as I have come to learn. I can do this.. yes I can.. feeling thin is so much better than feeling guilty?

Hope everyone is having a good weekend as well.

Well once again I ended up maintaining the whole week at 223. I had a couple of nurses ask about the start of menses. Sure enough TOM greeted me today. Hopefully that plus doing a modified plateau (having broccoli instead of spinach and had a burger patty today for lunch PLUS one regular non-plateau meal on Sunday) will lead to a loss on Monday.

Hello all!
I spoke with a Lindora nurse about my plateau. She told me that I"m not eating enough carbs, and to never go under 50 grams. Following the plan, sometimes its hard to get to 50! She recommended I do 4 days of PLATEAU MENU. So I wrote out my food plan for tomorrow for the plateau menu, and there is NO WAY I will reach 50 carbs if I follow the menu. Do you know if plateau menu requires 50 carbs? Thanks so much! Rachel

You should be aiming for that 50-60 (unless told otherwise by the nurse) carbs daily regardless if you are doing regular, plateau, or protein menus.

I can easily reach that 50. Here is a sample -

Breakfast - egg (1) and 1/2 grapefruit (10)
Lunch - tuna (0), 1 cup raw spinach (2) OR 1/2 c cooked spinach (3.5), 1/2 grapefruit (10), 1 c lettuce (1.5)
Dinner - tilapia (0), 1 cup raw spinach (2) OR 1/2 c cooked spinach (3.5), 1/2 grapefruit (10), 1 c lettuce (1.5)

So right there I'm at 38-41 depending on what type of spinach I use. If I use a dressing for my salad with carbs I'd add that in (but I usually use 0 carb salad dressing). I still have another 12-9 carbs to spread out over 3 liquid protein snacks. Plus if you do hot lemon water at night - some nurses will count that as an additional 3 carbs.

It really just requires you to plan things out. Good luck!
