Hi Joann
![]() Congrats on the 12 lb loss cactus! I'm down 4.8 my first week! I'm pretty happy with that, I misbehaved yesterday, had a few cocktails with a friend and ended up eating off plan, but not too bad, kept it pretty low carb. I go to NY my 3rd week, I hope I can lose there without clinic. I will extend my 4th week to the week after I return. Hope everyone is having a happy Tuesday! |

Bonkers you are doing awesome!
Hubby and I just started our 6th week. I weighed in Monday with a 4.5lb loss! I seriously thought the scale was broken. Hubby was at the same weight as Friday. I had a 1/10 change - but not too worried after the big drop. No change for hubby so he starts Plateau tomorrow *evil laugh*. He WONT do spinach and he can't do grapefruit because it conflicts with medication, so he got some alternative suggestions. |

Hello All! I'm new here & to LFL. I have a question I hope you can help me with! I'm following the book to the nibble & drinking 80oz water, & began daily exercise... lost 9 lbs in 9 days! But now have a plateau (day 12.) I'm in ketosis most of the time. I started plateau menu yesterday. I cannot force another fish day today :/. I do eat fish, but plain baked white fish is not for me. I read that it can be substituted for chicken. Can anyone confirm this??

It doesn't have to be plain. You can add seasoning. Just be sure it isn't something that is salt based. I normally do tuna on a bed of lettuce & spinach for lunch. Tilapia for dinner. Sometimes I'll do shrimp. I've done chicken maybe once out of the three days.
I put myself on plateau Friday. It wasn't suggested since I dropped 4.5lbs when I weighed in on Monday but I was bouncing a few ounces one way and then the other. |

Thank you for your help! I've lost 1.5 pounds after 2 days on the plateau diet. It seems slow, but it worked. I sure hope the pace picks up!!
I keep reading about how so few calories will put us in "starvation mode." I'm wondering if that's the problem?!? Thanks for welcoming me to the group...! |
