Yes- I thought that was sad too I thought about another program as well and was completely ignored on that thread as well. I guess you just have to do your own thing

I do. It makes having my snacks at work easy. I'm a teacher and can't run out of my class to go to the lounge nor have a mini-fridge in my class.

On the weekends and breaks I don't use the products as much except on protein days.

Just finished the 1st week of my 3rd program.

Just finished the 1st week of my 3rd program.
I have purchased some products and enjoy them. They have some great sales.

I would like to post here if I have some company? I am doing this on my own and would love some company!

I think part of the problem is that the LFL clinics are only in the Southern California area. This is the only board I have really found for LFL. I *THINK* there are message boards for those who do the program online (purchased program) but I stumbled across a few links and it looked like any posts were from 2008.

You are right - this is the only board I have found. I have an online program to activate but there are not any message boards for it at this time.

Feel free to post questions. I'm not an expert but this is my 2nd go at LFL/Lindora. I had joined the clinic 2 years ago and did 3 rounds. I dropped 40 pounds but then derailed. After trying other methods (weight watchers) that didn't work for me and some soul searching I rejoined this past summer. Just started my 3rd round and down 35. This is the plan for me. Hubby just joined as well so I've been walking him through it as much as I can - he is diabetic and his needs are way different.

Thanks so much Joann - I am Addy

I have had similar experiences though not yet with LFL. But with weight watchers for sure. And same with my husband though he is a severe diabetic and just started dialysis this past July. I am starting the program on Saturday and I am glad to meet you

Hey, guys, I am in and will post as much as I can too. I have bought a few of the products as well, but mostly eat my own food. I work law enforcement so sometimes I need an easy snack to grab and it would be great if I was always prepared, but there are sometimes I can't be.

Today is day 2 for me (2nd protein day). So far so good. I had a little bit of a hard time last night, wanted to eat, but I just didn't. I have mentally freaked out a couple of times because I thought I wanted to eat or needed to eat (for comfort) but I haven't.

I am totally dedicated to this and am excited about it. This is my first time, but I really like the program and the people at the clinics so far.

After my blood work and meeting with the doctor, I was 100% on board. Lets just say that really scared me. It was not good and I basically made the decision right there that I can either choose comfort food or my life - because if I keep doing what I am doing, I will either have a heart attack or a stroke in the next few years and probably diabetes too.

I just turned 40 two weeks ago and am about 60-70 pounds overweight. I am 5'1" and I weight 190. I need to get down to 120-130.

This morning I took my action planner and pasted pictures of me at my goal weight (before I had my son 4 years ago) all over the front cover underneath the clear part so everytime I open it, I see me and my goals.

I go to the clinics 2x a week - and go in both OC and the IE as I live in one and work in the other.

I live in the IE as well (15 & 91) so I usually go to that clinic.
On days I know I won't make it on time I do hit up the one in Rancho (where I work). I do like that we can go to any clinic.

Addy - I think you will really like the program. It is strict and you have to be willing to work it, but I like it so far.

Joann - I work in Rancho too - small world - I alternate between there and downtown San Bernardino right now for my job.

So I go to the Rancho clinic during the week and the orange clinic on my day off. I also went by the Chino Hills clinic one day too.

I really like we can go anywhere too - it makes it so you don't have an excuse not to go.

Just finished the 1st week of my 3rd program.
Thanks for the reply. I have the Lean for life book and had forgotten all about it. I read through some of it today and find it tempting. I already follow a low carb low(er) fat menu, but eat up to 1200 calories most days. I can't imagine eating the protein day meals that are outlined in the book Do you find it hard and did you do the prep days?

When I first started the program back in 2010 I followed the prep days as they are outlined in the book (frozen pizza and all). This time around I just ate normally. I only did prep days at the start of the 1st program, didn't do them again when I started the 2nd or 3rd.

Every program I have done has started with the 3 protein days. The clinic provides you with a handout to follow - which I modify but do keep to their carb totals. Their handout is all their products - so I've never really looked twice at the one outlined in the book. I I didn't find it too hard this time around. It almost felt like a cleansing. My body really loves this plan and I was in ketosis after the 1st day.

I'll use the lindora stuff for my weekly protein days as well. It helps with variety.

Sample Protein Day menu from the book:

Breakfast - 1 egg or 2 whites

Mid morning snack- 2 oz. fat free cheese

Lunch- 2.5 oz. water packed tuna

Afternoon snack- 4 oz. low fat cottage cheese

Dinner-3.5 oz. chicken or turkey breast

Evening snack -2.5 oz. lean/fat free cold cuts

All the meals and snacks could be replaced with a Lindora product. Looks like it is about 600 calories. The book does say you may need more than the 6 servings of protein to control hunger and maintain energy. I wonder how it would work if you ate more than the 6 servings though.

I LOVE this thread! I hope we can keep the thread active and be supportive to each other.

I am on my second week. I check in at the clinic Monday - Friday. I lost 12 pounds on my first week. I struggled with the protein days. I was very relieved when I was told to start the menu plan on Thursday. I was super concerned about the weekend but I made smart choices. I bought the Lindora products - some I like - for example the Hot Cocoa and the Chicken Soup.

I am feeling pretty good on my healthy lifestyle. I am very curious how much weight I will lose for the first 10 weeks. I signed up for 2 - 10 week programs.

The menu that Lindora provides their clinic patients is different. You basically eat every 2 hours. There are 2 plans but off the top of my head the first you intake about 80 carbs, the second, 70, and 60 on the third. Higher protein items earlier in the day and lower towards the end of the night.

The first day you eat every two hours for 9 meals - 6am/8/10/12/1pm/2/4/6/8
The second and third is every two hours for 7 or 8 - 6/8/10/12/2/4/6/8
Give or take depending on what time you wake up...

I will be starting my protein days on Saturday and will be using some of Lindora products. For my "prep" days today through Friday. I am just eating the way I have been - not stuffing myself like in the past before starting a weight loss program but also eating a few things that I really like and will not have once Saturday arrives.

This sounds a lot like the Medifast plan. I will keep the idea in mind if I stop losing with my current plan. Best of luck to you all!

Medifast has changed. I did it a long time ago when it was just the 5&1. Lasted a month. Couldn't get back on it. Had a friend lose over 100 doing MF. I had been tempted to order some MF products to use but found a distributor on the east coast whose products are closer to the carb/calorie counts of the Lindora stuff.

Best of luck to you!

I know that distributor do you order products from them as well? I am currently on the east coast though will be moving out west in a few months.

If it is M.D.Sz then I've only placed 1 order with them in December. It was a "test" order since I was leary about the site. But the items came. Hubby has been enjoying their apple/cinnamon oatmeal (afraid he will eat them all before I get a chance to try them). I had ordered the variety packs for hot cocoa and fruit drinks and 4 boxes of the Wild Berry type of drink (it is my daily go to snack at work). The Lindora clinics and websites had been sparse with lots of things on back orders so I to find alternative options. I needed my nightly cappuccino or hot cocoa. When the clinic did get a few boxes in I felt bad for buying a bunch up..

Hey all. 3rd protein day for me. 3 pounds down so far, so I am happy. I know that won't last, but I will take it.

I just ate normally for the prep days too - didn't do anything special. Did have one or two things kind of as a last chance before I can't again type thing.

Would one of you guys PM me with that dist. info. I wouldn't mind checking it out for just in case.

Hope everyone has a good day. I will probably go in and check in at the clinic either this afternoon or tomorrow morning, whichever my schedule allows.
