We had about two weeks of "last chance meals" since I took a break from Dec21 to Jan 7. We went to Claim Jumpers (had to use the gift cards!) that Saturday before.

Cool, thanks, Joann!

Just got back from a 2 mile run, did one yesterday as well. Blah am I out of shape. Used to run 5 miles a day....sad, but I can work my way back. It is really hard to run with an extra 60-70 pounds on me

Ha ha someone I was just talking to - her husband had WL surgery and they went to claim jumper too for their last meal. I have only been there once for lunch. But everyone always says it is yummy.

Just a check in to say Hi! Limited internet today. Did some "protein" shopping earlier to use along with the products I have. I am excited to get started

Was up .2 yesterday and it was suggested that if tomorrow (today's) I'm not down I go on the plateau menu. YAY <-- sarcasm

will hope you don't have to face the dreaded plateau diet! Do they usually wait a few days before they suggest it? When do they use the "AMP" program?

I am on my second week. I check in at the clinic Monday - Friday. I lost 12 pounds on my first week. I struggled with the protein days. I was very relieved when I was told to start the menu plan on Thursday. I was super concerned about the weekend but I made smart choices. I bought the Lindora products - some I like - for example the Hot Cocoa and the Chicken Soup.

I am feeling pretty good on my healthy lifestyle. I am very curious how much weight I will lose for the first 10 weeks. I signed up for 2 - 10 week programs.
Hi - was checking to see how you are doing? You had such a great loss your first week

If they don't see a weight loss in 2-3 days they suggest plateau. In theory I had weight loss. I weighed in Monday with a little over 3lbs lost and then .5 lbs down on Tuesday, but I went from 233.8 to 233.3 AND then back up to 233.5. but I guess since I'm "stuck" in the 233s it was suggested.

There was 3 weeks last program that I was stuck at one number. I'd bounce up a few ounces and then back down and I just couldn't break through. AMP had been mentioned before but this was the first time I had to follow it. I actually prefer AMP to plateau but the drawback is your suppose to do it for 7 days. I guess your also not suppose to do it more than once in a program unlike plateau. I swear, back a few years ago, I was on plateau every other week. I learned to love grapefruit.

Hi Cactus Flower,

I am on the plateau diet! My weight has not gone up or done - it has been at a standstill - to the exact ounce. The plateau diet is for 3 days, followed by a protein day. I am hoping to see the scale move. If you want to see the menu, let me know.

Could you post the AMP diet at some point? Thank you!

I had overheard one of the nurses tell a patient (a man - I'd think men would NEVER need to go on the plateau menu) that he could do watermelon (and something else but missed it) since he said he really didn't like grapefruit.

I know my hubby can't do grapefruit because it conflicts with one of his meds so if he ever has to do plateau there will have to be other options - plus he will refuse to eat spinach.

I personally get tired of the spinach. I'll have raw spinach as part of a salad with tuna at lunch and cooked for dinner.

I think I read somewhere online that asparagus could be substituted for spinach? Not sure though

Hey guys, just checking in. Work has been crazy, worked 15 hours yesterday and have to do OT this weekend. I was down to 184 yesterday but then popped up to 186 this morning for some reason. Probably hormone stuff as it is that time of the month and I always gain and then it disappears, blah. But even with that I am still down so I just have to keep plugging along. I haven't been able to go back to the clinic yet, they are probably going to be mad at me. Hopefully they aren't closed on Monday, I have it off.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

I'm so happy to see some activity here again....yes I was a "lurker" but will do my part to keep things going again. I have been living low carb eating clean since October 1999 and things were going great until..... Oh no.... Menopause. Weight jumped up a bit and what had worked for more than 10 years didn't work anymore ( and I work out a lot) - so I went in search of something new and found lean for life. I am working through the books on my own along with an online tracker to stay accountable. Thanks you guys - let's keep this going.

Welcome, Casey. I try to check in everyday, depending on my schedule. I love this site in general and have been coming here for years. Am plugging along, day 6 for me, 185.2, so about 4 pounds down for the week so far.

Everything you need is in the book, I signed up for the clinic because I found a discount deal and thought I needed a kick in the *^#, which I did. The physical check up in the beginning is what really scared me into compliance. I will go there for 10 weeks and then probably just continue on my own since it is kind of expensive.

I really like the eating every few hours thing, it is working for me. It is hard I have to force myself to be prepared and on schedule, but it has been so much easier to eat low carb and eat less. I am also keeping track of fat, calories and all the rest even though they say you don't need too. I am staying at about 50 - 60 carbs a day (not net).

Good luck!

Hope everyone is doing well. Have to work OT today, so not happy about it

Clinic should be open Monday.
I was down on Friday but plateau was still suggested. Messed up last night - not bad but had a blast with friends.
I'll protein it out for the next 3 days.

I read the sticky for this program ..and it sounds very do-able! How much weight do you typically lose in 1 month?

So the first 3 days are protein days ...eating 6-12 servings of protein. Sounds like dukan!

Alright so today was day 1 protein day -- felt kind of nauseous from all the protein mid-day ..but not hungry at all. We will see what the scale says tomorrow!
