I got my Lindora products today..
I tried the chocolate fudge cake... got to mix it with water.. and nuke it for a min.. it taste ok... nothing super great.. but ..it has lots of protein in it.. and not many carbs...
have not tried the hot chocolate yet.. maybe tomorrow ...

dinner.. 2c lettuce
mixed veggies.. and pork chops..
I through 2 laughing cow low fat cheese wedges in there.. with a little butter to make a little sauce for the veggies
I was ok with the calories .. so..I could a afford to splurge a little..
I also bought grapefruit today.. first for the season.. hope it taste good.

I usually wait until they have the big red tx grapefruits at Sam's, but I have not seen any yet..
can't wait for all the citrus to be out there ...

good morning everyone...
Happy Friday..
its cold down here this morning.. and I felt cold.. and it was a bit of a challenge to crawl out of bed.

but.. well here I am.. LOL

stepped on the scale and still at 144lbs. Its ok... it can not be a loss every day.. LOL
I think I over did it with the carbs again yesterday.. I ended up over 90carbs.. and that is just to much for me...
but those little carbs add up during the day.. LOL
and one here and there...
I am doing ok with the calories.. and protein.. but.. sigh.. those carbs.. sneaking up on me.

trying to make it to the gym today... and get a good workout in..
for breakfast I am having oatmeal with cocoa powder.. sf vanilla syrup.
and soymilk.

and snack.. going to boil some eggs.

lunch.. lettuce.. tomato..cucs.. onion.. and some sort of protein.. ( it seems to be satisfying to me.. so not going to change it) 1/2 grapefruit.

protein shake for afternoon snack..probably whey...
and dinner.. ribeye steak.
Dh is leaving on a weekend trip.. and that is what he ask for dinner.. LOL
so.. steak.. it is ..
with some veggies...
lettuce.
and some fruit.

I am still adjusting and re-learning... and trying to stay on top of things.
My goal is to be done with this program by thanksgiving..sigh

well.. nobody on here? today? I am all alone.. LOL

we went out for dinner tonight.. and I did good..
I had grilled salmon and a salad.. dressing on the side.. and veggies...
now I am having a Lindora Hot Chocolate... for my protein snack for the night.

and I still have one fruit servings..

I never made it to the gym today.. because DS and his wife came over and brought me pictures of the new baby.. ultrasound..

amazing the technology.. LOL.. they did not have that.. when I was young! lol
So we enjoyed a great dinner together..

tomorrow is DS birthday.. 31yr.. and DH is out of town.. so.. DS and DDIL will be picking me up for dinner again tomorrow night.. but I know where we are going.. and they have an awesome meat platter.. nothing but.. lean meat..so.. I will be safe tomorrow dinner also.

Its amazing how much of my daily thoughts and energy revolves around food! LOL

Glad you were able to get the packets of Designer Whey to try. I use water or half n half just to make it kinda creamy 1oz maybe. The soymilk has surgar right? Never tried it, but I hear its tasty and good for you.
Will try some soon.
I love costco but have never seen the fire roasted veggies. Will also check it out in the refridg section?

Got my workout in.. Van will go to the shop tomorrow..
after that I stopped at the sprouts.. got some ice berg lettuce.. and a SWEET Potato. I don't know what the carbs are .. I have to look it up..

and I bought some designer whey.
they had two small packs of a different company.. with lower cals.. and carbs.. so I bought those too..
Just tried the chocolate. and it was very good.. it was called MRM Whey.
and I mixed it with 4 oz of soymilk.

I never tried whey before.. but I also have seen it used in some recipes..

DH will be home soon.. short shift for him for the next few days...
chicken breast with costco fire roasted veggies.. is what we will have for dinner.

Yes.. soymilk does have some sugars.. but less carbs then reg or ff milk.
so I am using 1c and the whey... and it is good..and filling...
and helps me get my chocolate fix in...

and yes.. the fire roasted veggies are in the refrigerator sections.. there are 3 small bags inside the one big one.

good morning everyone,
I made cottage cheese pancakes for my breakfast... and eh... they are ok.. tasted more like an omlet then pan cakes... and I think I can do without.
I used sf polomar fruit spread with fiber for the topping.. wonder if that counts as a fruit?
probably NOT!
so I am having 1/2 grapefruits.. I bought yesterday.
they are not as good as some others I had in the past.. tasting almost "dry"?
oh well..

for my lunch I am making mixed salad and left over ribs and brisket from last nights dinner.
no BBQ sauce

and dinner white chili..
it has white navy beans in it..but.. I think it will be ok... beans are a good source of fiber and protein... I think.. LOL

the rest will be frozen for later use.

its going to be a quiet day here.. just me and the dogs..
Hope to be motivated enough to get to the gym for my workout.. got to keep that going.. I don't like to work out. but.. ... I do it.,.. and I know it will improve my overall health in the long run. and keep my weightloss on track

I have been making me the Lindora hot chocolate for the late night protein snack.. it is pretty good.. but.. I have to mix it with the mixing stick.. or it has lumps .. it does not mix easy with just a spoon and stirring

but it is tasty.. and yes... very creamy...

Hi Monika
I struggle with remember the cordinates of this plan at times also. Usually I have to write it down! I had the best results when I kept a daily food journal however that was time comsuming and boring

I dont eat any sugar if thats possible since its in everything. Potatoes are my downfall or bread. Getting better however. Good luck with the shows I have followed this room for yrs. You are an inspiration

good morning everyone.. happy sunday.. hope you all enjoying a wonderful weekend,

woke up this morning with a headache. argh..
and the scale was at 145lbs..
I know TOM is on the way.. sooooo all the symptoms agree... pointing that way too.
got to make a desiscion on the L4L program... by tomorrow.. sigh

the book tells me to go on my Metabolic Adjustment weeks..
but the Riteaid online.. just keeps going...for another month.
sooooo
the question is.. what do I want to do?

I am leaning towards the riteaid online plan.. because the holidays are just about a month away.. and I was going to ease up a little by then anyway?

so... I don't know..????

tomorrow would be our reg scheduled protein plan... ?

our thoughts?
anyone done L4L without the adjustment weeks?

decided to go with the online L4L version.. and NOT have the adjustment weeks.
Protein day today...
and I am still STUCK at 144lbs! argh.

good thing.. still losing inches.. and fit comfortable now in size 8-10! so we take that as a little bit of a victory..

got to cut down on those carbs.. and calories... 1400 calories a day is just to much and I am using the scale and portion control and my ****** program to keep better track of what iam eating.

breakfast was Mock Danish... 2oz cream cheese, 1 eggbeater, splenda.
snack... ff cottage cheese with sf davinci syrup.

lunch.. left over steak? or roastbeef?

afternoon snack... whey shake

dinner pork tenderloin

lindora hot chocolate for late eve snack

going to the gym for a good workout..
and well.. got to.. to keep the weightloss going.. and lose more inches.

and so... that is my day plan..

how is everyone else doing?

Glad you stuck with the protein day. Thats what i would do. If your stuck in weight loss they used to tell me to do protein shakes or liquid protein soup after 3pm only thats kind of a plateau program for me. It was hard for me cause i like to chew!!

Do you have the mock danish recipe handy? I might try that . Sounds like its a quick breakfast..

Hi! Just starting -today is day 2 of the protein for me. I am waiting for the book-ordered it off amazon. I need to lose about 20 pounds and it seems nothing is working for me anymore. I am really carb sensitive but I can't stick with plans that are soo low in carbs so i thought I would try LFL. I am a serial dieter and have just decided to stick with this thru Jan. 1 and see what happens. This thread is great and filled with wonderful tips-thanks! Kim

they taste mostly like lemonade? but a little different.. and they are pretty good.. comes in a 3pack'
appletini, mojito, and magarita.

Hi I'm new!

Hi,

I just signed up for LFL at center. I am beginning my prep days and then will start protein days on Monday. I have been doing Medifast for a few months with a lot of success and went from a high of 225 to right around 170 now. But, as this is the home stretch and where I usually fall off the wagon I wanted to join a program where I would have the accountability of going into a center. I have about more 20 pounds to lose and hope I can do it with 1 10 week cycle but we'll see.

I do have a question about the prep days? I everyone just eat as the sample shows with 2 eggs each morning or did you just do your own thing and eat healthy? Or, maybe didn't do it at all?

Thanks,
Michelle

welcome to L4Lgroup.
I don't have any info about the prep days... or what the centers are doing.. I found this program coming from another LC program... and this board..
and I did the first round.. a few years ago.. via the book.. and the info I found here.
so.. I am at a loss...

I dont' think I ever did any prep days! LOL
I went and did the first tie the 3 protein days.. and then this round.. I just jumped right into the weightloss days.
and .. I am still learning/relearning the program myself.. and I do make mistakes.. LOL.. and misunderstand...
so.. hoping that you can fill us in.. with some fresh and new info from the center.. LOL

Good Luck Michelle.. and I love this program. and it has worked for me in the past.. and now again...
I am at 144lb now. ,and I want to get down to at least 130! that is my goal... my ideal weight according to the charts is 125! but.. I have not seen that number in over 30 years! lol

argh... I am soooo dumb sometimes.. LOL
I took a nap.. I felt like.. blah.. got up.. rested.. and made DH his dinner.. the german quark dish... low fat... and pretty low in carbs.. and I was hungry.. so,,. I thought I have a protein snack.. and I ate one slice of the left over pork tenderloin..
and then I packed DH lunch for work tonight.. and when I was done with that.. I made me a whey shake.. as another snack..

totally forgot that I already had a protein snack argh.. duh... blonde moment???

so.. I imidiatly put everything down into my fit day.. and well, I have to watch my dinner now.. I am already to high in calories for the day now..
doing ok with the carbs and the protein
but already at 925 calories. without dinner, 66 carbs and 87 protein.. sigh.

so.. dinner will have to be something low in carbs and calories..

done my workout.. and screwed up on dinner.. sigh..
came home.. and started dinner... taco salad.. made with lean ground turkey..
but while I was coooking it.. I made my afternoon protein snack.. whey shake... with 1c of milk..
then I finished dinner.. and totally forgot.. and sat down and ate my dinner with my DH..
and then I realized that I just had my protein snack.. and it was like 2 hours to early for me to have my dinner.. sigh..
I usually just sit down with DH.. while he eats.. but he has to be at work by 6PM and he does not eat again until midnight.. so he eats early at home..
and why in the world I forgot and just ate with him...

so now I am stuffed.. over full and in a few hours.. I be STARVING.. duh...

good morning to you all.. and a good Thursday morning...
Made it through last night without to much trouble.. got a little hungry.. but had my lindora hot chocolate at around 8PM and was fine...

but I am almost out of the chocolate mix.. so I went last night and ordered more.. and a few other items from the lindora site..
some snacks... and the chicken noodle soup.
I wanted to try their "lemon struddle" but they are out of stock.
thought that might have made a wonderful breakfast snack on the road. oh well..

the scaled moved down a tiny bit this morning.. not much.. I am counting it still at 144lbs, sigh.
Still waiting for TOM, but all I am getting is nasty HOT FLASHES and just feel.. "icky" sigh..
had greek yogurt and blueberries for my breakfast..
going to cut out those grains in the morning.. and the carb count and hope that will help... and I start losing again...
for my snack.. I will have an atkins protein bar..
I am thinking of cutting it in 1/2. and save the other 1/2 for the afternoon snack? instead of the protein shake?

for lunch.. mixed salad .. and turkey breast
1/2 grapefruit.

dinner... shredded chicken.. with mixed veggies.. and 2c lettuce..
and the other 1/2 grapefruit

and my lindora hot chocolate for the late eve snack.

hanging in there. but sure would like to see another nice drop in weight.. sigh!!!
woooooosh fairy.. come on down.... sigh

Whoosi coming

Just know that this wont plateau won't last forever. Drink your water and lemon at night like a warm tea. They say it acts like a diuratic.. The soup is very good chicken broth or the chicken noodle.

Hello All,

Officially on my first Prep day which is basically just a healthy diet. So far I've had 2 HB eggs and some watermelon.

What site does anyone use to record their calories, etc? I am using ************.com which is pretty good. My issue right now is that I've gained some weight due to adding fruits and other stuff in that I wasn't eating before since I was really low-carbing through Medifast. But, I'm going to trust the LFL program and just do it as written hoping to get a big loss the first week. I'm almost looking forward to the protein days as I am using their products (I go to a center) and they have all sorts of lovely treats. Too bad my first protein day is Halloween but it's OK. I haven't had candy in months.

Are there any tips or food recommendations anyone would advise? I also am not eating grains (so no breads, cereals, etc.) so breakfast will be an issue. But, I'm thinking cottage cheese or yogurt and fruit or there's always eggs.

Can't wait to get into ketosis so I won't be so hungry.
