done with my shopping at costco. and proud to have made it through all the samples.. with only have one bite of cheese sample..
good shopping also.. only bought.. lean roast beef, lean pastrami.. splurged on the anitpasto..(italian dry salami, dry coppa, proscuitto, black pepper italian salami) I know not the best meat for our L4L program.. but sometimes I crave the SALT.. and sodium.. and its easy to take along onto our road trips. but .. it is a "splurge" and "special treat)! so for lunch I made a mixed salad.. lettuce, tomato, cuc.. onion.. 2oz mozarella cheese and 2 oz of pastrami. and 1/2 grapefruit for my fruit; breakfast we had mock danish. afternoon snack.. atkins bar, and dinner.. YIKES.. no idea yet! Had chicken and veggies last night? I better go and look at the suggested dinner menu.. and see what I can come up with. I am still afraid to use the Low Carb recipies on here.. or Linda's site. .I just don't want to add all the xtra calories to the meals right now.. and stick with the basics as on our suggested list of foods to eat. newleangirl.. i am using ******.com. I paid for it a few years ago.. and it works great.. I know the free version is also very good. oh and yes.. the last time.. when I came of Atkins.. and did Weight Watchers.. I gained weight too.. fruits and some veggies just have a TON of carbs! LOL I am crinching now.. looking at carbs in my 1/2 of grapefruit. its like 1/2 of my total carbs for the day.. just in my fruit servings. I always try to stick with the fruits and veggies listed on our recommended food list. If you do that.. you can't go wrong.. just measure and way... and ****** pretty much keeps track of the calories.. carbs and protein for me. I am battling with the calories every day... I could just fill up on cheese and eggs. etc.. but they are HIGH in calories.. so.. I am always looking at my list and look for the lowest carbs and calories.. LOL Let us know which one of the lindora products you like! LOL I hate to order online and then find out I spend a lot of money for something I don't like! LOL right now.. yes.. I am STUCK!!!!! argh.. and Maybe I need to eat more fish? I don't know.. sigh.. I exersice.. 3-4times a week at the gym... and I burn around 400-500 calories.. but.. well.. nothing is budging right now.. I did not work out today.. can't tomorrow or on sunday.. because I be busy at a dog show.. .. but on Monday.. I am going back.. I am feeling that sometimes I have been on one or the other weightloss program for so long.. that my body is just not responding so well anymore. ![]() Lots of people have told me that I am looking great.. and I dont need to lose more weight.. but.. my goal and ideal weight is about 15lbs more to lose.. I know I can do it.. and it just might take me a while.. LOL .. but what is a few more weeks/month.. now that I am so close and I have been doing it for so long! LOL -

Hi Welcom
[
I to went to the clinic. The protein days will keep you full. Water is key. I used some of the bars for snacks. ![]() I too love my potatoes bread saltly stuff. I do not do much sugar so keeping it pretty "controlled carbs" Cauliflower has helped as I use 3/4 cauliflower and 1 small potatoe mash it up with tad of butter or cream cheese. Lo-fat cheese works for me too. ![]() I am a slooow loser besides being short sux! Hang in this L4L works. |

good morning you all... happy saturday.
cool and well cold and crispy outside.. around 40F but the sun is out and it should be warming up to the mid 60-70F later on during the day. DH went to work this morning.. and I snuggled back in bed for a little bit longer... scale was the same for me this morning... argh.. 144lb I ate to much salmon last night.. sigh.. still over eating.. still failing to measure and weigh on a reg basis. sigh.. breakfast this morning... my home made yogurt, 1/2c and 1/2 fresh berries.. sf syrup.. and my coffee for my snack I am a protein shake.. and for my lunch.. atkins bar and fruit. because I am going to steward and help out at a dog show and for afternoon snack? another protein shake? and for dinner.. I promised DH hamburgers.. without the bread of course.. lettuce, tomato. .onions.. etc.. cheese? and then we see how that goes for the day;; I am packing my own drinks along...to the dog show after the show, I need to drive DD to get her hair cut and watch the 3yr old grandson .. for a few min while she is getting that done. and so busy day for me today.. and away from the house and the kitchen. and I hope away from any evil foods! lol the dog club will serve lunch.. but I only heard sandwiches.. and well. that could be anything.. from home made.. to subway.. and no clue what is on there and how it is prepared.. if it is subway.. and no dressing.. I might just peel the bread off.. and eat it like a salad. but.. in any case.. I am bringing my own.. and I be prepared. you all have a great and wonderful day. |

thanks Pokey! what does the clinic say about drinking chrystal light and coffee, sf ice tea?
yes.. I do enjoy the company of my dogs.. I have to do more with them! LOL got lazy during the summer... but now, temps are cooling of outside and it is dog show season for us, so more busy now for us. We need to get them back into obedience classes, so we can compete in performance events and competitions again. One of my original goals to lose weight was so I could show my own dogs and make it around the ring without passing out! LOL or getting so winded I could not talk! today I was just helping out at the german shepherd clubs show. it was nice and I enjoyed being out there! and I enjoyed hearing all the wonderful complements on my look, and the weight I lost! It was good! and motivating. dinner at home was good! lean burger patties, made on the grill, so little fat left on them, with a slice of cheese, and mushrooms and grilled onions. 2c of lettuce and left over mock mash potato from yesterday. I checked on my carb count and I am already at 65 for the day. so.. skipping the orange or any other fruit! I can't remember... sigh, I know I ask before.... but please help me out... do we count ALL the carbs on the atkins bars? or the NET carbs? do I count 22 carbs ... or 2carbs??? it makes a big difference for me and my carb count! |

Motivation
Monika S/Free iced tea and crystal light are fine. They tell me not to use splenda much. I need it in my coffee/iced/tea!
![]() Good job My fave motto is "Nothing feels as good as thin looks" Net carbs is what works subtract the fiber from the carb count that should be the Net amount |

thanks on the info.. and reminding me... I thought I count the net carbs on the atkins bars etc. but then.. I was not sure.. LOL so. I am feeling much better now. I don't use much splenda. In my coffee I use SF syrup like Davinci. and I am doing better if I can use Chrystal light in my water.. LOL So went to the zoo this morning.. had a good time with the grandbaby. went to Applebee's for lunch. Had the fajiats with shrimp and chicken.. no sides.. just the meat the veggies a little bit of the cheese and sour cream water, and some dehydrated apple crisp. then we went to the dog show.. helped out with the stewarding a little. Had my atkins bar for afternoon snack... stopped and shopped at Michaels a little.. bought knitting yarn. and then went on post.. shopped in the commissary for a few things... dropped DD and the grandbaby off.. and come home.. unloaded the van.. let dogs out. and having a cold drink mix now... I found a 2lb container of designer Whey at the commissary for $18! what a great deal. so... dinner tonight... a few leftovers and jalapeno poppers... tomorrow.. protein day! DH has the next 3 days off... sooooo going to plan our meals accordingly; |

Today is day 1 of protein day! Can't believe I chose Halloween! Does anyone else go to the clinic? I am wondering what to expect with the shots. I do get a B12 and some boosters with my package. Should I just get the B12 or get the booster too at the same time? Have a great day all. I'll be coming on for support. Michelle |

good morning and Happy Halloween to you all,
Protein Day for us here also Michelle, but.. .only doing one day for our reg cycle. Had mock danish for breakfast and coffee.. snack----- whey shake lunch... chicken breast afternoon snack --- roast beef dinner ---- STEAK late snack.... small protein bar? thanks for the info on the protein bars Michelle, and yes.. I had the lindora bars before.. and they are pretty much the same in nutrition and protein and ingredients as the atkins bar.. I only use them on protein days, or when I am out and about.. and on the road..and can't get any other protein snack. or like today.. on our protein day. I have found the protein bars very filling... and satisfying. I have been counting the net carbs only.. so .. I just will continue doing that. Hope to make it to the gym for my workout this afternoon, just got to keep going.. because my weight loss has been stalled and is so slow.. I am afraid if I don't workout I am not going to make any progress at all... |

Bars
![]() I too use the bars on protein days. Atkins are tad cheaper and fulfilling. Sometimes i chop them up and add a few nuts in a baggie for a grab bag I use the Full B-complex injection booster. It does give you a great deal of energy. I use my own B-6 100 mg for my ligaments (knees) dailey. I also use b-12 (sublingual dots 500mcg ) and that gives alot of energy. And according to dr.Oz Good luck we all need a boost andto be in these rooms helps ![]() ![]() sue Quote:

no.. nothing but protein. I don't mind the lettuce.. I can don't just have lettuce... I use tom, cucs, etc in my salad.. and count it as the veggies.. unless I have some other veggy for dinner... then just the lettuce. I used to buy the stuff in the bag, but it has gotten so expensive for a few mixed leafs in the bag. I am just getting the head of lettuce now... and cut it up myself. LOL but no.. not getting tired or bored. Also have a variety of low fat, light salad dressing... and that helps. I think L4L uses the salad more as a "filler"! and I think if you are eating other veggies.. you probably can skip the leaves! LOL![]() |

Bonehenge- do you eat more than 6 times on your protein days or is that it? I know they say you can eat up to 12 times. I am sticking to about 9. According to what they gave me I am to have 9 of their meals today. 8 tomorrow and 7 the third day. I've already decided to take out 2 of their meals and add two of my own (cheese stick and cottage cheese) since I don't want to eat packaged food all day and this will be less carbs overall. I do appreciate their meals for variety plus I'm saving some of my sweet snacks for tonight when the kids are having 1 or 2 Halloween treats. Does anyone use the online version of L4L? I'm wondering about what types of support are there and if they have a lot of recipes. I guess I can just modify some of my low carb recipes. I did go online and order some low-carb, gluten-free bread. I didn't think I was going to eat bread but I think it may be a better bet to keep me full and not going crazy. I'm not allergic to gluten but I really don't think wheat is good for you so I've been avoiding it. I need to get back into my running and will start right after I finish up these protein days. |

I am usually eating about 6 meals on my protein day.
I not feel like I need more? or should I? Since I am not going to the clinic... and I am without a book even... I don't know.. LOL ??? should I eat more protein on protein days? I just had s whey shake after working out at the gym.. then we will have dinner.. and then a late eve protein snack I saw a few recipes for bread on the LC recipe board. I could make, but.. we don't eat any bread right now.. LOL the only time I see 1 GRAIN serving is in the morning.. and we had oatmeal.. or some other cereal. But I cut that out too, to high in carbs for me at this time. |

got this of the L4L e-mail
Some people can sail through many weeks of weight loss without "slowing down" (if you are one of these people, excellent!). Others sometimes do experience a slow down (or even a halt) in their weight loss. This can be very frustrating, but remember that it's temporary if you are following your program. Don't give up! During weight loss, your body will sometimes hit a plateau. A plateau is a short period of time—usually one to seven days—during which your body will temporarily resist losing weight. Even though you are following your plan, that number on the scale won't budge. One of the greatest challenges of hitting a plateau is that they can undermine your confidence in what you are doing. So why does your body hit a plateau? Plateaus may be the result of different things: fluid retention, or reaching a prior weight that your body was accustomed to (our bodies "remember" and try to stay at a weight they are familiar with). Whatever the reason, it is important to recognize the plateau and not get discouraged. One way to break through this difficult spot is to increase your activity and, at the same time, decrease the amount of calories and carbohydrates that you eat until you see a loss on the scale. Remember: A plateau is not permanent! You will break through it if you stay committed to your goal. |

I'm doing OK on protein day 2 but am hungry. I over did it on the L4L bars so I may have to put those away after this 3rd protein day and really try to stick to "real food". So on a typical day about how many calories are you eating? |

Yeahhhh... got another Lindora L4L book from a friend!!! so I feel better now, I can read up on some stuff.
I try to stick with 1200 caloriesl and yes... for now.. I am having yogurt, or cottage cheese and fruit. I made today the Applecake from the Linda's recipe list! Per Serving: 314 Calories; 28g Fat; 9g Protein; 10g Carbohydrate; 3g Dietary Fiber; 7g Net Carbs it is made with almond flour...cream cheese ... eggs.. and I saved some of it for breakfast tomorrow morning. and 1/2 of it I put in the freezer. Might be good to have for breakfast when we are at a dog show and at a motel. but anyway.. the only thing that is on the list for us for breakfast is 1P, 1Grain or 1Fruit! LOL sometimes we have the Mock Danish... that is pretty good. I just got my box of Lindora products I ordered.. and I got the hot chocolate again and the chicken noodle soup.. but I am disapointed with the snacks.. just one little bag of pretzels .. and one little bag of sour cream and onion cheerios thingy? don't think these are worth the $ and I won't order them again. and I just went over board and ordered a bunch of Atkins endulge treat bars. I got so mad at sam;s.. they dont' carry the chocolate coconut anymore.. sooo I went online and ordered directly from atkins. and BTW if you sign up for the atkins website.. they send you free 3bars and a little booklet etc.. so I did that.. free .. is free... |

I'm on day 3 of protein day. No change on keto stick and I mean none. I may end up with a 4th protein day. I'm not sure, it says max 4. I think it's the bars maybe. I just read you can have 2 max and I definitely had 3 yesterday. So today I'm going to try to keep my carbs under 60. If you use the L4L products the carbs add up fast so I'm going to concentrate on my own proteins with just a few of their products and see how it goes. I'm actually gaining some weight but I was on a really low carb diet then kind of ate a bunch of junk on my "prep" days so I think I should see some lower numbers on the scale by Friday. I go back to the center tomorrow so we'll see what their scale says. I am reading my book and following the plan so I know this weight will eventually come off. I'm worried because there is a party this weekend with yummy food and drinks. I know I can bypass the food but the drinks get me. |

![]() Agree Monika that the snacks or ounce of dry crunchys are awful. I havent seen the pretzels but the sour cream onion are gross. I need the crunch however. I have found lightly salted dry roasted soybeans Gluten free MSG free and not bad tasting Feng Shui Roland brand 9 carbs and 7 fiber 1 sugar and 13 protein. So I have my crunch ![]() |
