What to Eat
Thanks for your info. I'm a newbie. Just finished the three day initial proteins. That was hard! But what exactly can I eat on the regular days? Can you give me a sample menu?
Thanks! |

snack will be yogurt lunch 2c lettuce, tomato, 3oz of lean steak, and a slice of fresh pineapple afternoon snack: protein shake dinner: well.. tonight.. tonight we are going to RED LOBSTER... LOL! so my dinner will be a little bit off... LOL ! ![]() ![]() but I will have a salad.. dressing on the side... Admirals feast.. with veggies.. and not going to have the butter.. but lemon .. etc.. just trying to enjoy the dinner but modify it as much as I can to make it somewhat fit on the LFL plan Usually we have for dinner 2c lettuce.. with a tomato.. a protein.. fish,or chicken etc.. a little bit of veggies..from the list.. and a fruit also from the list. I love fresh fruits and veggies etc.. so I usually have no problem following the plan. Just print out the list and eat off the list. 4-6 meals.. 3 main meals.. 3 snacks. the snacks are usually protein.. low fat and low cals. come and post on our april thread http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/le...il-2008-a.html a few others hang out there that might be able to help you. ![]()

Bone,
I am also a maintainer, lost 60 lbs. on LFL about five years ago and have kept it off by going back onto the diet every now and then when I gain a little. The key to success for me was not to learn how to stay on a diet, but to learn how to get right back on track after going off for a while. I am on it now to try to lose another 10 lbs. before a trip to Hawaii, but of course those last few always come off a lot slower. |

Hi I'm New
Hi Everyone,
I am new to your forum and my husband and I will be starting the LFL program in a couple of days. I should receive my LFL starter package in the mail tomorrow along with some of there protein foods. I have a long way to go as I would like to loose 115 pounds. I did LFL about 15 years ago I did it through the clinic and did very well but this time there cost was more than I can afford so I am doing it online... I'm going to need alot of support this time ![]() I also have some nerve injuries which prevent me from doing alot of exercise which isn't going to help ![]() I know I will have many questions for everyone. Wishing Luck to Everyone Dawn |

Hi Dawn
Wondering how you and your hubby are doing on LFL? Be sure to pop back in and let us know. I just follow the book and don't eat any bars or shakes. I don't even think I can get them up here (I'm in Canada) |

I'm new to the site and just starting LFL.
I have a question about the cycle. Right now I'm on my Protein days, and getting ready to go into the WL phase. Once I complete that & the MA phase, and ready to repeat the cycle again, do I start off with the 3 Protein days again, or do I start from the WL phase? Thanks in advance! |

Good thing I like lettuce.Another question. Are we allowed to chew sugar free gum? If so, are there limitations on how much we can have? Thanks again for your help! |

I chew sugarfree gum all the time. But in the beginning I would count it towards my daily allowance of 50 carbs or less per day. One piece of sugarfree gum is 1 carb. Also in the weightloss phase, you sometimes have bad breath. Sugarfree minty gum helped with that, as well as curbing my appetite. If my mouth feels minty, I am less likely to want to eat something I shouldn't.
