anybody still on lindora???

I am in second week. i was in ketosis until two days ago...when i try to add the fruit and keep carbs about 50-60, i seem to go out. Is everyone keeping carbs that high and staying in ketosis?

Im still losing but i want to speed it UP!

The girl at the clinic says keep the carbs at 50 and go back to protein days until get into ketosis.

Hi luzeit4good...I am still on Lindora, and will be on the plan for life. I am still losing but at a snails pace at the moment. I am 5 lbs from goal and it is coming off slow. I eat fruit only in the morning, and yes, try the protein days. That should do it. Measure and log everything too.

MiniMee, are you on maintenance now or do you intend to lose the last few lbs?

As for me, I have been struggling - my intentions have to match up with some action  I know this plan works, its to me one of the best out there!

I am so happy with this diet!! I have been on it for 6 weeks and have lost 20 lbs! I can start to really it and feel it!, this diet really works. I have been on Atkins over and over but this seems to work more consistently and im not suffering! My loss has slowed down so i am trying the plateau diet for a couple of days...trying to stay committed. Hows everyone else doing??

Incredible luzeit4good!!!! Awesome job!! It sure does work. I have never felt better. My weight isn't budging but Im sicking with the eating plan, working out every day. I had a bunch of people come up to me at work today to ask me if I was still losing. I'm between a size 6 and 8 right now. Some of my coworkers think I should stop. But I still have some tummy, thigh areas that need work. Working out is so much easier now!! Have a great weekend!!!

Good idea Groovycadreamr. I read the book over and over to get the information into my head. I really feel that the Lindora plan is the secret everyone is looking for in weight loss. It worked for me and has been the easiest plan to stick to. I feel that I have the tools now, to wage this battle for the rest of my life.

Hello, Hello, Hello!!!

I am sooo glad that this board is active.

I am a second round LFL'er

I lost 35 pounds back in 2009.

I just delivered my second child, Luke, on 4/25/11.

Girlies, I am having such a hard time looking down. My body is so jacked up. My thighs are HUGE. I came home from the hospital, got on the scale (I'm sick that way) and was like, really??? that's all I lost?

I am honestly starting my first protein day tomorrow. Today was a prep day: Cooking chicken, etc. I know I can do this. But, I need your help and support. This message board helped me so much last time. I need to post and check in EVERYDAY. I can not afford the clinic, so I have to go it alone.

I agree with everyone. My body does not do carbs. Weight watchers stinks. Lean for life is the ONLY way I have ever lost weight without pills (we can be honest here, yes?). So, I hope I can be welcomed back. My promise is to post every day, check in every day, offer support to others and LOSE weight.

Mini me...your in southern cal too? You are so close, keep it going girl!!

You are pretty close to your goal shmootz. It won't take you long at all!!! My body doesn't do well with carbs either. I have never felt physically better than on this eating plan.

I went into the clinic yesterday to buy some products, and it is so fun to do that now that I am so close to my goal. The ladies remember me and always tell me how good I look and ask if I want to weigh in. My favorite product right now is the chocolate shakes. That is the only Lindora product that I continue to use. What products are your favorites?

I love the bars. The chocolate mint one is my fav. They are too high in carbs for me to use though

I have the shakes in the cupboard. I forgot about them until just now...boy, one sure does sound good!!!

Check-In

Okay, So my plan is to weigh 2X per week, Wednesdays and Sundays. Today was a Happy Day ... I weighed in at 220lbs ... So I've lost 6lbs in the 1 1/2 weeks I've been on the plan.

Sticking to my workouts as well ... this morning was a Cardio/Core day ... I'm starting to feel like myself again! Yay!

Does anyone know if they sell the shakes or bars at Target, Walmart, Etc... OR are you only able to get them on Amazon.Com or at the Lindora Clinics? I live out in the middle of nowhere :^{

Hi all. I am new to this board and to LFL. Today is my first protein day. I'm feeling hungry and I'm tempted to eat all the food in one sitting. I hope it gets easier.

It will get easier Noror. Welcome!!! Once you get the sugar out of your system you won't crave it anymore and once you go into ketosis your hunger will subside. It takes a few days though. Good luck.

Hi Noror, and Welcome. Use this message board. Check often. Feel free to write all of what you are thinking and feeling. It is a very powerful tool to know that you are not alone, to get feedback when you are stuck and to reread your thoughts later and make connections about your food and your feelings. My first round success with this diet was more successful because of my message board friends (Lil...come back!) I'M on program again because I just had my second child; not because I gained all my weight back. This program does work. If you are hungry during your protein days, have extra servings (1-2) of low fat protein, like fish..... Don't worry, by day 3 you won't be so hungry. Your blood sugar will stabilize and your body will be rid of some of the toxins from the food you have been eating prior to starting the diet. It's hard, but try to exercise during this time. It helps get you into ketosis and to sweat helps the toxins come out. Welcome on board!

I am doing a plateau meal plan today. Sisters, I have been stuck within this 1 pound range for 8 days. Yep, and I've only been on plan for 12 days! I know that this is where I've been since I had the baby. This must be a "set point for me". No biggie. Hopefully it will pop tomorrow.

I did my couch to 5k running program yesterday then thought I should do the Jillian Michaels "Master your Metabolism" videO. Holy cow. Trying to do that was really depressing. My legs were so heavy; trying to lift them to do the kicks was awful. I can only imagine what I looked like. I used to jump with ease...now I struggle just to make it through the circuits. I thought for sure that I would be down today, so I was disappointed not to be. But, my ketones are MODERATE! Wow, that's rare for me. So I figure, plateau it is.

Hope everyone makes it a great day!

Don't worry shmootz...you will break through this set point. It is amazing how the body resists. And exercise DOES get easier as the weight goes. That was a revelation to me and something I never thought much about 60 lbs ago. I figured that I would always struggle with exercise. But now, I can't say I love it, but I don't hate it and that is progress. And yes, it has gotten WAY easier!!

Thanks for the advise shmootz. I made it through the first day but I did take a bite of boiled chicken breast. I was already in moderate Ketosis which made me happpy. Hopefully I will start seeing the weight drop off soon. I do excercise. I have always exercised. I think I probably have to up the intensity. It's really nice to have online support.

Hi everyone. I just finished day two of protein. It was actually easier than day one. I am now down 5 pounds from when I signed up. Woohoo. I did get the booster shot today and I can't believe how much it hurt????

YAY Noror!!!! The boosters do HURT! Ouch!! They did help me in the beginning though. I tried an hour long spin class at the YMCA last night, only lasted 30 minutes. Kicked my butt. I hated every minute of it and think I will stick to walking with hubby and my elliptical machine. Trying to motivate myself to get this last 5 to 10 lbs off. It is so difficult and slow. The scale is not moving. I think I might have to go back to week 1!! Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi, gals!! I was reading on your WOE and it sounds a lot like I do (sometimes) and would like to do to get some results.

I've always been committed to weighing and/or measuring all foods so that I can be precise about what I'm really eating. My body seems to like very little carbs (to lose weight) and this WOE seems to be a way to eliminate cravings for some carbs by fitting in some fruits and grains. I always get the low carb/high fiber grains when I eat them and try for the lower GI fruits and make sure my portion is right with them.

I seem to get close to my goal weight then get really lax in my eating and pack on weight again. I'm probably 15 - 20 pounds from where I'd like to be right now.

I'd like to join you in this journey, if you don't mind. One question that I have is if you have to go to a clinic or if you can just eat according to the plan. I'm low on cash so won't be able to put extra $ into anything right now.

Another Q: Is exercise recommended or discouraged? I have been unable to motivate myself to workout regularly lately, but I'd like to get back into it.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Kat

Hi Kat,

You can do it alone. I don't have any $ for the clinic. I did get the book online and that helped me. Welcome. We love to have friends, regardless of the plan they are on. This is a journey of healing; both body and soul. When we have to address both while doing this work. I don't go to the clinic.

Exercise is a MUST. It is good for both body and soul. It helps your body rid itself of toxins and helps metabolize fat. We are glad to have you.

Glad I read this board. I was feeling down and having cravings. I'm gonna go for a walk or do my video.

xo,
Let's make this week great!

Good morning!

Well, I'm ready to start today. (I knew I'd have a few splurges yesterday.)

Glad to hear exercise is encouraged! Thanks for your welcome message, schmootz! I will be hitting it hard this week. I have tried to enlist some support with exercise, so we'll see if anyone comes through for me or not. I'm pretty good to keep at it on my own since most people "poop out" on me after once or twice.

I'm starting my protein day this morning. I feel that I have to keep to this with no straying to get some good results! I'm ready to make the change!

Happy Monday!!

Kat

Hi all. I'm so proud of myself. I stuck to the plan through Father's Day weekend. I was helping my mom prepare the food. She asked if I could put the cream on the desert she had made. I did it without ever taking a taste. I didn't realize how much "tasting" I used to do before I even sat down to dinner. It was a real eye opener. I lost another 2 pounds this weekend. I've never been happier.

Great job, Noror!!!!! The little bites really add up so wtg on resisting!!! And woohoo on losing another 2 pounds!!! Yay!!

Well I worked out like a maniac this morning. I can't promise I'll do it all the time, but figured I better go with the motivation while I had it! Everything I read says that building muscle keeps those calories a-burning so I did that plus a couple other things. I'll try for an interval workout on my elliptical later.

Surprisingly, I'm not starving after eating so much yesterday. Who knows if my appetite will kick in later. Catch you all later.....
