Hi Everyone,

I am new on Lindora, I am on day 9 today and have lost 13.3 lbs so far. I am starting to struggle with what to eat for dinner though. I am so tired of just boring chicken. I like spicy things. Does anyone have any ideas?

I like to do fish a variety of ways. Usually baked. Spices are your best friend on this diet. Mix lots of them together until something tastes good. Great job. We have another active thread on this board.... hop on over and join us. It's the "lets get lean for life" by end of 2011!

Dinner!

Hi everyone! I have used this blog for ideas and support for a while now, and I am finally taking that big step into actually posting! This is new for me, but I've decided its finally time to contribute!

Dinner recipes--> I honestly don't know what I would do without Sparkrecipes.com. They have some awesome options and ideas that are well within our guidelines. The advanced search section allows you to set maximum calories and carbs ( i usually do 200 cal per serving/ 8 carbs max per serving).

I find that i use this recipes as a jumping off point for ideas, and then either modify the portions or ingredients so that it works for me!

In terms of actual dinner ideas, consider branching out to things like light crustless quiches and a mixed green salad (SparkRecipes [i use lowfar cottage cheese, and usually at least one yolk instead of all egg whites]*, or even flank steak, which is really low in fat for steak generally, with some grilled/roasted bell peppers and onions.

I'm also a hugeee fan of ground turkey and chicken. Obviously open face burgers are an easy option, but also try some meatloaf type recipes (opt for ones with veggies and eggs in the ingredients because otherwise they can be kinda dense), or even lettuce wraps ( a touch of teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, and a sprinkle of sweetened shredded coconut at the end is amazing!!). And enchilada sauce does wonders too!

Hope this helps and inspires

A little tip I learned at the lindora clinic I visit. Befor receiving a booster turn your feet inward and place your right hand on the wall it keeps you from clenching and it hurts less.
And always make sure the person giving the injection whips off the alcohol that's rubbed on to disinfect the area.

Worked out last night for 1/2 hour on the elliptical machine and then took a power walk with hubby and my grandson. Feel so good today. Had a great compliment yesterday from a female coworker half my age that said, "you are one hot mama!" Boy did that feel good considering I'm a 50 year old grandma!!! LOL

New goal!! Get this last 10-15 lbs off before the holidays!!!! Lets get serious and do this girls!!!

Lindora

Hi everyone~ I'm back....2 years ago I started Lindora and over the course of a year (going off and on again) I lost 50 lbs. So proud, I figured I could do it by myself and lose the rest as well as maintain. WRONG! I gained almost 20 lbs back. today is my 8th day (cheated 2X) and have lost 7 lbs. I have been very ill though struggling with anxiety, depression and agrophobia, so that's not helping, but needless to say, I need to get back on and stay on. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Good to be back.

Last summer I did Lindora for about 4 weeks and lost 17 pounds. Then I changed jobs (from a very bad job to a very good job). Unfortunately, I was unable to continue Lindora and then things just went downhill. I kept the weight off for about 5 months but then I started to eat all the wrong food and it all came back. I just rejoined again and will start my 3 protein days this Friday. It's funny, I did it at the exact same time last year, Fathers' Day weekend. Hope it works just as well this time around.

I love the encouragement you all offer. I'm glad to be back.

Lindora vs. lean for life...

I'm very interested in this way of eating (low carb/clean eating since 1999)... Are lindora and LFL the same and what book is best?

I believe they are the same thing.

However, Lindora is the clinic where it started and where many people go to weigh in, get booster shots, advice etc.

LFL is the program, the book is Lean For Life same thing. They may have updated a few things, but the general principles I think are the same.

More info

Thanks! And after looking into it further, it looks like the same woman that wrote LFL runs the Lindora program. Will get the book,.
