Idea's for Exercise
Ok, here is my problem. I was injured 8 years ago and it makes it very difficult for me to exercise no upper body stuff and walking is limited. I really enjoy a nice leisurely walk but I have to be cautious or I pay for it in a big way the night of and the following days.
Any suggestions for me I'm open to them. |

Hi Dawn,
No ideas for you, but I was thinking maybe you might get more responses if you post your question on the Exercise Board: The Exercise Board - Low Carb Friends Good luck! Hope someone has some ideas for you. |

Hi Dawn!
Just saw the post here. Is there any way of altering the exercises to make some to your ability? Wish I could help more! Maybe try some light yoga or tai chi? |

I've read alot of good things about Oxycise! Here is the link:
Oxycise! Health and Weight Loss Program They are 15 min breathing exercises and the site has a ton of incredible testimonials. Good luck! |

Ask a Pro
Perhaps you should consult your physician before trying exercise? You wouldn't want to cause any more permanent damage. Maybe they could refer you to a physical therapist that could give you suggestions to work with what abilities you do have. I wouldn't trust anything a 'trainer' at the gym tells you because they arent therapists usually. Gyms that cater to ladies only have equipment made for ladies that is not as tough to use like a regular gym. Perhaps a treadmill or recumbant bike done slowly? I walk 2.5 miles every day of the week but it took me a long time to work up to that. Good luck.
