Need help getting back on program

Over the summer I hit maintenance and was not far from my personal goal. I went from 174 to 152lbs in 10 weeks. Once school started for my kids, and our schedule got crazier I started slacking. I still exercise 4-5 times a week but have not AT ALL been journaling. I'm absolutely petrified to get on the scale, I"m sure I'm a good 10-12lbs UP. I know it's got to be at least that much, I can tell by my clothes. It makes me so sad and MAD at myself for doing this to myself.

One good thing is that I do exercise a lot. I do "hot" yoga 3-4x/week, which is 60minutes of yoga in 100 degree heat. The days that I don't do yoga I walk for 45min to an hour.

I'm on day 3 of my protein days and then going to get back on regular program. I have a center right by my house (absolutely no excuse to not go in and weigh in) but I just CANNOT go in and let them see I've gained a lot of weight back. I'm horrified! Since I hit maintenance I think that I can go in and weigh in as much as I want without paying for a new program.

Just needed to vent and am THRILLED I found this board!

Don't beat yourself up about your weight gain. It is great that you are now on day 3 of protein. I have found to be successful, especially when you have a busy schedule, you need to plan each day.

I plan what I will eat, including snacks. If you need to change a meal, always try to keep within the grouping of food that you have planned. I always pack snacks and water in the car. If I am going to be out all day, I will pack my lunch, this saves a "fast food stop".

It looks like you have a grasp on exercise, keep up the good work.

I am starting week 9 on program. Week1-7 I did great losing 26 lbs. Leading into the holidays I was not as good about planning, and then week 8 I found I was out of control. Today I am starting a 3 day protein menu and will follow a preplanned day. I am trying to be positive and not be discouraged because I know I can do it.

Good luck

Am I right in that I don't have to pay anymore since I did hit maintenance? Is that right? Even though I"m up 10lbs?

sounds like me!

I was 164, got down to 150 (145 was my goal)
18 months later, I'm at 170. Besides being pg, I've never been this heavy. ever!

I am sick about this.

I started my first protein day today. I'm excited!

I'm still at a BMI of 24. I called Lindora to see if I could still come in. The rules have changed. I can come in for weight checks, but they will give NO advice and I don't get a b12 shot. When I signed up, I could come in and get one B12 shot per week if I was at a BMI of 24 or under. It's disappointing that they've changed the rules.

I'm excited to find this board!

You've taken a huge step acknowledging the obstacles and setback of late. And being back on track can only have GOOD results as you've been there before. Accountability is good to keep you on track whether it be the scale, clothes, or whatever.

I don't believe getting on to know what is the exact number is what's important at this point, but staying on track eating correctly and continuing your exercise regimen the keys to success.

Hi Friends! I took a week off over Christmas, but planned to maintain and NOT try to lose anything and I did it! So I have a total of 15 pounds off. I cannot tell you how much better I feel. EVERYTHING in my closet fits (Well there is one pair of jeans that are still a bit too snug). I have about 6-7 pounds until I reach my goal of 135. Things have slowed as I am getting closer and I just want to stop weight loss and do maintenance now! That's my little update. Stay focused everyone. It really works!

You are doing great! Wish you would stay around here a bit - there is very little support here

Hi Bythesea!!! It is a very small forum here. SO....I have now lost a total of 16 pounds, with about 5 more to go. I was stuck for a while and did the plateau diet yesterday which did help...and a slightly modified version of it today so I hope the scale moves a tiny bit more by tomorrow. Everything in my closet fits and several pairs of my pants are falling off of me now. I have been at it only since mid November, with a week "off" just maintaining over the holiday break. It has been SO worth it! I NEVER thought 16 pounds ago that I would be where I am now. I am a shortie so 16 makes a big difference. Hang in there! Love, AM

You are doing great A while back (even a few years ago) this used to be such an active, no-excuses, successful forum so hopefully people will find their way back. I will be starting the online program Monday and even that forum isn't very active so Lindora will hook me up with some successful clinic members to keep up the momentum!!!
