Also, when you have protein like meat for a snack do you have a full portion size like you would have for a meal?

but you don't have to eat the fruits.. twice a day. You can supplement a regular main meal with a protein meal.. and leave the fruits and veggies and lettuce off. I have done that for the last two days now.. and had a protein shake for lunch. Also today it was not fully satisfying.. so I had two slices of whole wheat home made bread and counted the carbs for that. |

Thanks Monika, I was just going by the "nutshell" thread and trying to follow those rules. I'll probably cut down on the fruit then or else just switch over to WW for awhile. When I get where I want to be I'll be back on EFGT. It's my favorite plan ever! I just needed to get my portion control back in line and needed something "different".

I'm new here hopping to find people to talk about this journey with. I have enjoyed reading your past posts and hope to be a positive force.
I am not new to LFL i have done the weight loss part succesfully twice now. The first go around I didn't follow through with the maintenance and gained it all back. That was almost 10 years ago. I finished a 28 day cycle and the metobolic adjustment phase about a month ago. I have maintained well for that month but need to go back and do another 28 day weight loss cycle. Need to hit my goal having a hard time getting motivated. Help!! One of my biggest challenges is exercise. I hate it and have been too lazy to do anything real major. A cycle that needs to be broken!!Last edited by Tara G; 10-17-2009 at 04:32 PM.. |

Hi Everyone!!! It's me!!!!
So sorry to have been MIA forever. Seems like I just needed a break. I have 10 pounds to lose. For those of you who don't know me, I lost 35 pounds in February-april with LFL and this message board. So, today I've been starting out strong. My true test is seeing if I can maintain while my 2 1/2 year old is sick. Here's to a new goal! |

Hi everyone! Today is my first day of LFL. I had a question. Am I allowed to have a monster drink? The carbs are 3 g...sugar 3 and calories 10. Is this okay?
