~September L4L Weight Loss~
Back from vacation and ready to get leaner. My goal is to lose 15 pounds by Thanksgiving but in all reality, I anticipate 8 pounds. My body is very stubborn with set points.
Todays food choices: turkey bacon, cottage cheese, tuna, eggs I have yet to weigh since vacation and I cannot find my darned pedomiter. Water goal: 90 ounces ...dusting off my Lindora book. ![]() Measurements: arm - 12" thigh - 22.5" hips - 37" belly button -30" My before: ![]() Last edited by Stevie Renee; 09-12-2009 at 09:52 AM.. |

WOW!! You look awesome!! Good for you!! I'm in the same spot you were when you started!! How long did it take you to get where you're at now?
I'm going to focus on 15 per month.....I may have to average down a bit...but 10 would be great as well. I'll be starting protein day #1 tomorrow!! Smile! |

Dar,
thanks ![]() I started losing my weight wayyyyyy back in 2000 after I had my son. I was 240ish. So it took me almost 3 years because I would get sick of being in weight loss mode. I tend to go into maintenance often, tackle mini goals ansd then hit it hard again. I actually gained again ( about 15 pounds) in 2007 and finally getting it off. I want to lose more to get back to my leaner days. It is not easy being in almost 46. I cannot get away with what I used to! I lost 12-14# since April and really want more to go. lol - dont we all? Tips for pro days...eat, eat, eat..you can have up to 12 snacks. Have you ever done L4L? I tend to tweak it as I dont use many fat free priducts - especially if the food item has trans fats or corn syrup or food color. I use full or partial fat but watch the portions. Wishing you success....just work on mini goals. 15 pounds amonth is doable! But then when you get to the 190's/180's, you may slow down and need to reassess. Thats what happened to me. ![]() |

Hey girls....it's Monday
Fresh new week, and fresh start. Thanks for starting the new thread Stevie. I was down in the dumps last week and messed up every way possible. I ate, and ate and ate without even acknowledging what I'm doing. To no avail, I refused to weigh myself this morning because I would have cried for sure! My baby started school today. We have scattered entry for kindergarden, so today was the first full day away from me and emotions were already high in this house. A scale reading would of been icing on the cake! I'm dusting off my book too....and doing three protein days to get back into ketosis. So far today, two boiled eggs, atkins shake, tuna, and chicken planned for dinner. Lots and lots of water...aiming for 3L's (I'll be peeing all day )I'm also dusting off my slim in 6 and starting tonight!!!!!I made the hubby hold me up to it! I'll go for 15 a month...hands down. ![]() Let's go girls! C'mon Laura and Clare. Let the cheerleading begin! Darla!Great pictures Stevie....I should do the same. Post my before and after photos! Gotta move my butt! Lets post regularing...it will keep us (me) on track! xo

Hi ya'll.
Hows it going? I am on track and down 2 pounds. We are grilling a boat load of grub for the week and I premake our salads in a glass bowl. I cover it with wrap and it stays fresh in the fridge. That way its there when we need it. We are eating grilled fish and chicken this week. I am not doing very little milk for protein,. I love milk and I love having it in my diet. Thats one perk for L4L! lol So I went to my first water aerobics. It was good fun. About 18 of us. One lady said the people will start to drop off as it gets colder. I hope I don't. Socal, lol, a new remodel! When is it supposed to be done. Do you have a bbq or Goerge Forman grill? Hockeymom, how are you today? Are you on pro days currently? Laura, where are youuuuu? Darlahar, did I spell that right?! lol..come post!! You guys should post pix too!! |

What the Hay!
The scale went up 3 pounds this morning! I hope it's just water retention. It has to be! I need to start writing down what I put in my mouth. The carbs have to be counted. We should both throw out our scales Stevie! Hey Laura, starting over and over and over is the story of my life! LOL ![]() Anyone watch the Biggest Loser last night? OMG, talk about a tear jerker. Poor Abby...I think that is her name. I could never imagine losing my whole family like that. Well, lets keep hoping on the wagon girls....it's gonna be a long ride for me at this rate. ![]() Have a great day my buddies. love ya |

How is everyone? I am doing another pro day today. I did very well yesterday.
I did not weigh this morning as I don't micro manage the scale. I used to but yeah, not anymore. Today I have cottage cheese, chicken, fish, protein shake. I did not do well with water yesterday but will focus on it today. Off to walk...30 minutes at least. How is everyone doing? Dont let September pass without some type of success marker. ![]() |

Hey girls....hope you're all doing well.
I was afraid to weight myself this morning. I didn't do too bad though ( I think) . I'm eating another regular weight loss day today. am..two boiled eggs w/low carb bread slice, coffee (of course....can't start the day without one! ) lunch..tuna with salad (olive oil and vinegar dressing) dinner..I have chicken and salad planned. snacks include yogurt and cheese, not eating too much fruit, just a few apple slices. Trying to keep the carb count as close to 50 as possible. I managed a video last night and boy, did my body feel beat up! I'm soooo out of shape. Don't get it. I walk every day with the kids and push a big stroller. I sweat like mad! I'm with you Stevie. We have to make our mark in September. There are less than two weeks left until October. (my chocolate weakness month, gotta get psyched for this one) We still have time to make a change! OMG six packs of soy nuts are better than eating chocolate almonds (hmm) Keep posting girlies. Gotta go....hear screaching in the background. ![]() |

hey you all.. can I join again? LOL!
I did well on L4L earlier last year.. and then sorta fell of the wagon and the weight is coming back... sigh. Wow, Who would have thought that our little Maverick would have grown up to look like this. Since I show him, I never get to see what he can look like out there. He finished with three four point majors. I knew we just needed to let him grow up. gained 12 lbs this year so far... and despereate to get it back under control |

Hi, I'm new to L4L. I bought the book at a used bookstore the other day and today is the first day of prep. On Monday I'll start my protein days. Two years ago I lost 57 lbs. but over half of it is back. Part of the problem was that once the weight was off the instructions for maintaining the loss weren't very good but I can't blame it all on the plan. Basically I went back to eating the way I used to - mistake! It looks like L4L has a better plan and a real adjustment and maintenance process. I need to lose about 35 lbs. now to get back into my size 8's. Any words of advice from those of you who have been successful? Thanks, Cammie |
