I can't stop giggling today. You gals made my day! I thought that I was the only one who did stuff like that.

Laura, fyi...I eat four vitamin C's a day, and savour them like candy. (helps fight off colds too...bonus )

I've been a good girl today...so far. Just finished off a greek salad with chicken. I've been drinking lots of water. Lemon helps bring it down too.

springalong...any idea how many carbs in an ice cap? I love those too. (too much) (hope you got the cell phone working)

Take care ladies. I didn't check to see if I was in ketosis today, but will tomorrow. Got to get the scale moving down again....soon.

[COLOR="DarkRed"]Hi Guys. I started my first 2 week metabolic adjustment on Tuesday and have already blown it. I haven't eaten anything bad, I just am not eating much of anything. I may be fat, but I've never been a real big eater and the amount of food they want me to eat in a single day.....I don't think I can do it.

Took my 12 year old dog (Amber) into the vet yesterday because she is having trouble getting up and walking. She was was born with hip dysplasia and has been doing just fine all these years until Friday. She was walking when we walked into the vet's office yesterday afternoon and hasn't been able to walk since. I don't know if they stretch her legs too much when doing xrays or what, but I this foreboding feeling that I am going to have put her down this weekend. It doesn't seem right. One minute she is doing okay and the next she's totally lame. Usually I will start munching when I get stressed out, but this time I just don't have any appetite. I haven't been to clinic since Monday and I know I wont get back there until Friday or next Monday. I have lost a couple pounds which is good, but they (clinic folks) are not going to be happy about me not sticking to the exact metabolic adjustment menu.

I love reading all of your messages ladies. They make me chuckle and some of them I can really relate to. Take care and stick with it.

Heeeey ladies,

so I'm 7 weeks in & down 29lbs. The first 20 were super fast, but the last nine have been tough. I still have 25 lbs to go.....

I'm going on vacay this weekend for a week - & I'm kinda scared - any tips???? Theres a big group of us going with kids, so it's not like I can go to EPL every day!! I've stocked up on soy snacks for when we are on the boat & I'll just try to be good

I love reading all the messages, looks like everyone is doing great (usually!)
I'm so sorry to hear about your doggie, thats never easy to deal with

Clare big congrats to you on losing all that weight! I was noticing your stats I probably started between 205 and 210 about 7 years ago or so. I went down to about 170 or so cant quite remember. Im 168 now (my scale is a little sketchy cause when you are lighter you weigh differently) the scale at the dr's office was prob around 180

So now its a little iffy trying to figure it out. Im going by my scale its now 168, and will be going down further!

Clare, sorry bout that - you were wondering re tips for your holiday. Snacking anytime on protein just to get the nibbles out is what I would do.

The lady who signed me up years ago suggested when you go up in the pounds on metabolic adjustment to stay as usual just have a protein for a meal. She suggested to snack whenever the urge to keep the metabolism going.

Thanks!! I'll pack plenty of stuff! Yeah, I piled on the weight with baby number 2 - my normal weight is around 150, it's just been a horrible struggle to get it off this time - thank goodness this is my last baby!!!!!

Who's Joan Jett????? I'm just kidding! You must be from my "era".
I had my sister once "highlight" my hair, never again! I looked like a cheap blond zebra I too had to rush out and get it coloured the next morning asap, before the hubby came back from a trip and became shocked.

I'm on a protein day too. I'm not in ketosis today. (must of been something I ate over the weekend?) Two more weeks left in June ladies!
Let's aim to make this week a good one. The kids will be off school here in two weeks also, which means that it will be just a little crazy around here.

How did it go Dianne? I hope you're doing well.
Did the date go well Dana? I've been married too long to remember dates! (it will be 15 years in July, we married young, mid twenties) no regrets though, at all

Let's burn up that fat girls....summer is here and let's enjoy it!

xoLil
btw..down to 170 this am (total loss 5 pounds in June so far)

Hi Everyone! Looking forward to hearing about everyone's weekend....especially yours, Dana! heheheh (insert little laugh guy)

Good news, my hair is brown again and I'm down another pound. That's 4 pounds this June. ok-the same 4 pounds that I've been up and downing for the last month...but still...on the lower end.

Gals, I got the Jillian Michaels Tone your Trouble spot video on Amazon....I can barely move today. Plus, it's super hard even to get through. But, since i've been doing that video, I've lost 3 pounds in 2 days....(plus protein for both). Could be protein but I think it's a combo. Today is last protein day.....

Yesterday was very productive...new hair, car oil change, husband had GREAT financial meeting with the bank to fund our new business, Ashley is feeling better, I'm losing weight....God is truly good. For this I am ALWAYS, grateful.

Dianne, thinking about you and your pooch.

Keep it up girls. The only thing stopping us is ourselves.....honestly.

xo love you all
Laura

BTW, Lil, where did your cute signature go with all those cool hearts?

SO True Laura! Ive come to realize that recently with all my lil slip up s here and there, I am stopping myself from reaching this goal! I'm doing much better these days sticking to the plan

I enjoy reading everyone else's progress also. I only have one more visit with the clinic and then I will be doing this all on my own! :/

MID June...we can still make things happen!! Have a great day!

Good Morning everyone!

Yes my "date" or outing went well on Saturday, we went to the play and then to the mall to deal with my phone and later to visit my mom. So it was a nice afternoon. We are just kinda restarting on a "friendship" first. So we shall see....

Had my brother and sister in law and nephew over for supper last night, for my nephews bday. He just turned 17. So of course there was cake! Mind you I've not been too good in staying quite on the plan - little cheats here and there my weight just goes up and down those few pounds.

Well heres to a better day more weight loss and just an extraordinary day!!!

Dana

Morning-

Well It's my birthday and I had some Cake! just one slice Now I know this weekend will once again be another challenge for me...going to visit Family in San Diego for my birthday and Fathers day. Tradition is Phils BBQ- Have you guys had that? Seriously the BEST BBQ in San Diego, so with that being said I will truly struggle with NOT being able to order what I want! :/ My mouth is watering just thinking about it! Im working out hard this week and maybe that one cheat meal wont do much damamge!!

I have a question, I wont be in the "program" (at the clinic) after next week, what happens when you dont go into Metobolic adjustment? What if I continue with the regular Menu plan? I think the lady at the clinic said I should only be on the Menu plan for 8 weeks and then I have to go to metobolic adjustment plan. Has anyone done this before?

Hey girlies, hope you're all doing well out there!

It's raining, no, it's pouring here and the official first day of summer is around the corner. We should be proud of our success thus far and keep on rolling to the next one. (ok...I'm in a chip chip mood today )

We're going to get there, day by day ladies. WTG on the loss Laura. I've been working out too(at home with Slim in 6). The combination is great. I'm hoping to be down at least five more before June is over. That's if I keep it up and don't mess it up.

4quela!!!! I'm doing the diet from home using a book but have read that the MA is important. Your body needs to adjust it's setpoint. As long as you maintain your weight within 2 pounds you're OK. It will make the next round of weight loss easier too.

Keep it up girls, we are the ones in control of what we put in our mouths.

Lil

(can't get the original signature working ????)

Hey everyone,
Happy Birthday 4quela....love your picture. You are so pretty! Can you have bbq without the sauce everywhere...just a little to dip?

Dana, glad your date/friend outing went well! Yes, cake is always hard. Lil, glad you got those hearts back up. Makes me happy.

MA is important. I too recommend doing it, as written in the program.

Last night I drank wine...but no negative impact. See, and that's where I mess up. I should not allow myself to test these things out....GRRR. I should be doing that video right now, but I'm not. Kinda tired from work. Have a charity league meeting tonight. Have eaten on program today, but all protein.... BUSY day.

Check in later!

Ha ha Laura - tomorrow is another day! I've just gotten back from a weeks vacay - not looking forward to going to the clinic tomorrow - I was good tho, but not as good as I should have been - a week in Vegas & no booze - how is that right =)

I'm hoping the clinic give me some grace & don't make me start MA tomorrow - I have 2 weeks til I go to Mexico with my husband & friends (NO KIDS!!) & I really want to drop another 10lbs.......

Don't worry Laura, I've joined your club today so you're not the only member. Keep me honest by buggin' me please.

Father's day was a feast...no more comments. I didn't even dare weigh myself this morning. Didn't bother checking ketosis...cause there's no way I'm in it anymore.

WTG socalmoma! Talk about will power! You can really lose those ten if you're super super strict, and exercise. I'll be cheering for you! Mexico without kids....I'm dreaming of it....would be soooooo nice!!!!!!!

I hope you all had a fantasitc weekend! Should we set up mini goals from now? I seem to work better a week at a time and when I post more often.
Anyone up for trying to lose 4 pounds this week?

Let's go girls!!!!!! Protein day today.....and two more to go....ketosis here we come!

OK, I lost 3lbs last week on my vacay - woo hoo - could have been a lot worse - right?

The clinic didnt put me into MA - from what I gather they use 'actual days visited' rather than actual weeks - so I bought a 10 week deal, but cause I was away for a week & then used to only go three days a week, it's added another 3 weeks onto my program - that means they'll let me do regular for another week! So glad - I was gonna stay on regular anyway & just not tell them - is that bad?!

OK my mini goal from today til next monday is 4lbs - I sound like a judge on celebrity fit club LOL

Hey Sisters...I think the mini goal is a GREAT idea. 4 By next monday. I'm already 3/4 of a pound there...

Had a GREAT workout yesterday. Today went really light for 1 1/2 hours of cardio.

Ashley is on prednisone which makes her moody. Vetran mom's....need advice:

Ashley is starting to potty train. However, at nap time, she knows if she says she has to use the potty I will go in and get her. She purposely takes her diaper off (pants too) so she can use the potty. I told her yesterday I was not going to go in there and if she pulled her pants off, she would have to help me wash all the sheets (she thought that was way fun). What should I do? Duct tape the diaper on her so she will nap? Can she give up naps at 27 months? Yesterday made me CRAZY. I'm telling you guys this because it DIRECTLY impacts my diet. I get stressed out than I want Pirate's booty or Worse, wine....

Please advise....
