Good Monday Morning everyone!
Hope you've enjoyed your long weekend. It's a new day and I've made it a protein day today. I'm going to do two in a row to kick start the engine. I too got some cravings out of the system before I started back up today. I took the kids to McDonald's yesterday and enjoyed fries and an Oreo McFlurry with the intention of being "strict" from today on until I reach my 8 week goal. The scale remained the same this morning (complete miracle) as I thought that it would go up for sure! Summer is hard for me. I need to become disciplined around ice cream....I'm so weak around it. It calls my name from the fridge too. I need to get into ketosis again and set my mind, that way I can have a fridge full and ignore it. Glad to hear that your husband is working again Laura. My husband was laid off one month before Christmas and was fortunately back after three tough months. Clare, I can totally relate to you today. Tomorrow is another day and you can do it! (we all can do it )Enjoy your day ladies. ![]() xo Lil |

I'm not - 3rd protein day in a row & I think something is off - although I have got my period & been sick (TMI?) so maybe thats it. Anyway, my weight has stayed the same for a week & I'm not in ketosis, so they have put me on the AMP plan for a week - gulp - it doesn't look fun! Anyone else done it???

Hello All-
Well not much has changed since my last post, still weighing in the same. I went to the clinic yesterday all down and out about my results. They advised me to just watch my sodium intake and add more fiber to my diet. Ive been bloated and constapated (TMI sorry) so...I'm hoping once I have a BM then maybe just maybe the scale will move down. Being that I have been pushing hard and not seeing results...I cheated this 3 day weekend! Nothing over board but lil bites here and there. Im so sad I feel like time is going by so quick and Im not losing. Err, I wont give up!!socalmama what's AMP plan? Im interested in hearing. Oh yeah and my keto sticks dont work? I think I got a bad bottle or something...I havent seen any color for weeks. Something is wrong Im going to keep going and stay strong, Lord please let me see some results! |

OK the AMP (Alternative Meal Plan) is this:
You do it for 7 days, but only ONCE in an 8 week period. You follow the same plan for the 7 days it is: Breakfast - 2 liquid proteins Lunch - 2 liquid proteins Snack - 1 protein bar Dinner - 1 protein, 1 veg, 1 fruit, 2 cups lettuce Snack - 1 liquid protein Dinner options are these (& only these!) : Protein - 1 egg or 2 egg whites, 31/2 oz chicken breast, 2 1/2 canned albacore tuna, 2 1/2 fat free lean cold cuts OR 6oz tofu Veg - 1 cup broc, 1 cup cucumber. 1 cup celery, 1 x 4 inch dill pickle fruit - 1 small peach, 2 med apricots, 1 med tangerine, 1/2 cup cubed watermelon it is supposed to be a rapid weight loss program for those of us who are 'stuck'! Good luck - hope it works. They have copies of it in my clinic BTW in little folders in the 'weigh in' rooms. Clare xo |

Good Morning All!
I have been sitting on another stickn plateau for about 10 days. I finally lost another couple pounds yesterday which puts my total at 34 lbs in about 9 weeks. I was supposed to start my "Metabolic Adjustment" this week, but am going to hold off until Monday. My husband and I are heading to Laughlin this evening and wont be back until Sunday night. I plan on eating protein, salad, veggies and fruit while in Laughlin, but if there is a really scrumptious dessert I see I will have a few bites of it. I don't have to eat the whole thing...right! ![]() I am not going to sign up for another 10 weeks with Lindora out here in California. I am just going to do the program on my own. I can go in once a week for free and weigh in and get advice from them. ![]() I blew it last Saturday by only eating 2 times the entire day. The second meal was Italian at a local place. I kept my carbs under 85, but I was miserable after eating so much food. The same thing happened yesterday at work. We had a big luncheon and it was all veggy patties, bread, potato salad, cheese, onion rings and root beer floats. I ate a veggy patty, cheese, a couple onion rings, a diet root beer and about 2 tbls of potato salad. I was miserably full again. I can't believe how much better I feel when I stay on program. Well, I better get to work. I hope you all are hanging in there and staying strong. Don't freak about your ketone sticks. Mine has barley had any color to it in 2 weeks and with the exception of Saturday and yesterday I have been staying on program. ![]() Have a good Thursday! ![]()

Hi my darlings!
Great posts. 4quela, when you said your sticks were bad I almost fell off my chair! I have had those same thoughts too. Ketosis is hard for me to get into. And, this time around I have not been able to get there. My husband refers to it as dieters "Nirvana". Last time I did get in, but my stick was only pink. AND I NEVER CHEATED Clare, I'm the same way with ice cream. It is evil. Later down the line, make your own with WHey Low Ice cream sweetener. You can order it online and it's good and no sugar. Plnolady, sounds like workplace activities are a huge tempation for you. Stay strong. When I first read your post I thought you ate 2 pounds of potato salad...so, you really did great. Don't you love that feeling when old fat food no longer tastes good? I have to get back there. BRB-Ashley's (daughter) is calling.... |

![]() I got a really good workout in last night at the gym, I spent some time in the sauna also which made me feel lighter! Today the scale finally moved down a 1lb Yay! Finally I think adding another protein day might of helped me. This weekend is going to be tough, we are having a bonfire at the beach for my best friend and my boyfriends Birthday! Sushi dinner and then bonfire....I really want to have a glass of wine :/ Any suggestions what I should eat for sushi..no rice ![]() Sheldon where have you been? I hope all is well...miss your blog posts. Last edited by 4quela; 05-28-2009 at 12:46 PM.. |

Hi everyone
I havent felt much like posting with no good news to really report. Today I am attempting another protein day, mind you I threw some cranberries into my protein drink - just wanted to give it a little something extra. Im really happy for the rest of you that are doing so well, or at least not giving up. Thats what its really about is not giving up, I think anyways. Each day is new, in fact each second, minute hour is new. Yesterday is gone. Now I want the fat to be gone ha ha! Just trudge along is what is sometimes happening to me. Im going on an Alaskan Cruise this August, so I really would like to be at least 20lbs lighter. It seems the planning and the prep is a big thing that helps. It did the last time I was really successful with this plan. Anyways, everyone be super blessed ![]() Dana |

At least all the running around will keep me skinny ROFL!! I'm heading to Laughlin too the day after school is out -I hope you guys have fun! Keep on track gals & post soon xoxoxo |

Hi Everyone!
Springalong, so good to see you again! Welcome back. I know how it goes with not wanting to check-in when we have nothing amazing to report. But, that's when we need eachother the most. 4quela, don't give in to the wine...it only ruins your next day. So cal mama, you in ventura? I'm in los angeles! You have a 2year old...me too! BTW-liquid protein...what is it? Update on Laura: As you all know, I've been less than fantastic or dedicated to my diet. My exercise continues. Yesterday, I fell off whole hog. Yesterday, I saw 9 patients in a row (I'm a therapist). Ate some turkeyloaf in between. Rushed home to freshen up, prep the babysitter and head out to a big business dinner with my husband and two other couples (still starving). We got to the house and the men went to discuss business. So, us ladies popped some wine....and, I drank (on a relatively empty stomach). Then at 9pm, the FINALLY want to go to dinner. By now I'm a little giggly and STARVING. What did they choose? You guessed it...MEXICAN. The only thing worse would have been Italian. So I'm like, screw it. I had a cadillac margarita, some chips and finally food. This morning I woke up to a throbbing head (since my body can't take the booze anymore) and a lovely 1.4 pound weight gain. The funny thing was I was looking at the other ladies there (who were both FAT) and thinking about how I did not want to look like that. Even with that motivation right in front of my face, I still ate. It was just awful. The guilt that I had this morning, coupled with my headache sent me right back to bed. I could not even go to church (an I need that for my soul). So, today in protein day 1 and a restart. I need to pull my crap together girls. I feel like since the biggest loser season is over, i have not been able to be as disciplined. I think I will watch the reruns. I hope you are all having a reduced carbohydrate weekend! Love always, Laura ![]() |

New here, just wanted to say hello to everyone
Hi, I'm new and wanted to say hello to everyone. I've been on the plan for 7 days and so far have lost 9 pounds.
I must say I hated day 1 of protein day, I was hungryyyyyy and I kinda didn't like day 2 but when I saw that I dropped 2 pounds each day I fell in love with protein day. I actually found myself getting a little nervous with weight loss day because of the added carbs but so far so good, right now I am maintaining a loss of about a pound a day. I know that this won't last and the loss will slow down but I am hoping to loose at least 15 - 20 pounds before the slowdown begins. My goal is to loose about 100 pounds (never thought I would ever have to say that) I need all the motivation that I can get, I seem to have a habit of starting with the best of intentions and then slowly falling off the plan. Talk about self-sabotage. Well that's pretty much it for now. I will be checking in daily whether with good or bad news and I look forward to the mutual support. Until next time, Happy Shrinking!! |

Welcome Geturdone (Lil would insert that cool Welcome sign)....
We are happy to have you aboard. Yes, I used to get worried too. Trust the plan. It works great. Well, with my hangover the protein day was not possible. I needed a piece of bread desperately. So, I'm starting over tomorrow...one more day. |

Good Evenning All! We just got back from Laughlin, NV. We spent 3 days there celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary. This is the first time I have gone off program since joining LFL and it will take a lot for me to go off it again down the road. I gained 2 lbs, which I'm not freaking about, but I felt yucking after eating carbs, like corn beef hash, potatoes with gravy and some chocolate cake and ice cream last night.
I had all this energy after eating and then my body just crashed and burned and I was exhausted and ready for bed. Soooo, tomorrow I will do a protein day and then I am supposed to start my "metibolic adjustment" period for 2 weeks and then I will go back on the regular program again for another 8 weeks. I am still in aw of how much better I feel when I stick to the program. ![]() Hope everyone had a great weekend. |

Let's challenge ourselves to lose big in JUNE!
Happy Monday everyone. New month, new beginning! Let's make June one of the biggest losing months girls!. We can do it!
Renae and geturdone...(Laura is getting to know me well now )We're always happy to get more people joining the battle with us. And a warm welcome back too Springalong. I've fallen off the wagon too many times, and am restarting almost every Monday. I hope that this time I'll be as strong as my first round. Happy Anniversary Dianne! The first one is always special. Renae, there's a mix of us here. Some using the book also (me included) and some at the clinic. Either way, we're here for each other and support is fantastic. The program is really good....but it is VERY important to follow it to a "tee" and it will work...GUARANTEED ![]() Protein day today. I'm not in ketosis this morning, so we'll probably have to do a couple. I've also started exercing regularly. Exercise keeps me more motivated to stay loyal to my diet. Mini goal for me this month is to lose 15 pounds (of course I would LOVE to lose more) July is a month away....which means summertime clothing...and 15 pounds off will feel sweet. ![]() Have a fantastic day everyone.....and Let's go for it. ![]() luv Lil xox |

Morning everyone and Welcome Renae!!
Planoladay, Just 2 pounds...that's really good considering....Happy Anniversary. Lil, I was so happy to come home and see your post. You are sooooo right. Everything is in line for a restart: Monday, New Month and Protein Days! Let's kick it up and go girls. I just got home from the gym: 4 miles and weights. Went to the store. Got a spicy tuna bowl with no rice. Planning swordfish for dinner. Also going to pop into the LFL clinic and buy some of those printed action plans. I NEED those to keep from popping things into my mouth. I might even go to the gym again later for like a small run. I think that was Clare"s super idea of breaking up the workouts. New Stats: Started at 162 Current Weight 141 Goal: 130 Pounds to lose: 11 Love to you all girls! xxox |

Good Morning everyone, I see everyone is plowing away at the pounds.
Yesterday I had another protein day. Well, I threw a bit of fruit into my chia seed proteing drink in the am. At lunch I finished off the remaining chocolate cranberries (my new obsession) and lets see in the eve I had some nuts (thought I could exchange a protein for nuts) but maybe its not such a good idea after all, cause this am no drop in weight. I guess I will have to rejig it to be a major success. Well onwards and downwards. |

I was thinking about all the weeks that have passed since Easter. Had I been strict, I would have reached that 20 pound loss....but I'm still were I started
Anyone know where I'm coming from? Let's go for it gals.... We've done it once, we can again!Start weight 187 current 175 goal 135 Goal for this month....15-20 pound loss (to reach 155-160) xo Lil Last edited by cdnhockeymom; 06-02-2009 at 10:42 AM.. |

Yay, I'm having a positive day! I was plateauing for so long, I was eating bare minimum(no fruits or veg, just proteins) & exercising like crazy & nothing was happening. so yesterday I ate everything except the evening snack & I lost a lb & a half LOL! Oh & I got my balloons today for losing 10% - although the nurse seemed way more excited than me =)
Oh & sorry for being lame & not answering questions! Yes I am in Moorpark =) So we are close enough to kick each others a** if one of us gets lazy! Oh & the 'liquid proteins' are all the horrible Lindora drinks - shakes/peach mango/hot choc (although that one is nice)/chicken noodle soup etc it's way more effective to have 'liquid proteins' than actual food - or so I'm told =P I love logging in & reading messages, even when I have nothing to say! It keeps me inspired - so thanks gals Clare xoxo |

Ok---Clare, we are in Glendale. We were in Moorepark last weekend at Underwood Family Farms. YOu are close!
Day 2 protein. Lost 1.5 pounds so far. Kinda had salad today with lunch...oh well. Lettuce is a better cheat than cupcakes. I'm super hungry....... Went to the clinic yesterday. They were super rude and said that since I was not a patient I could not buy anything there. I sent an email to corporate about this and that after Ashley was born, that same clinic was rude and I bought the book and went it alone. They thanked me for my input. I was irritated. I'm adding an extra protein snack....fish. I'm working out and feel like I need it. You go girls with your liquid protein! Sounds like we are making progress! xxox Laura ![]() |

Hello everyone, sorry I missed posting yesterday but I got in kind of late from work and I was very tired. I notice my energy is somewhat low
I ordered some vitamins and I am patiently waiting for them to come in, I also increased the number of snacks from 3 to 4 hoping that will give me a bit of a boost. Well anyway I am very happy to report that I am now down a total of 12 pounds Yesterday was my protein day and I had no problems doing it because I knew the -2 would probably be the result and it was. Well that's it for now, and may we all reach our goals and maintain our accomplishments effortlessly! |

This eve I caved again. Why oh why is there self-sabotaging? Have to journal or something to get at the root of my behavior, cause it wasnt like I was starving or anything. I guess its also old habits die hard at times. Well, heres to a better day in the am. Dana |
