LFL carb question

I just got the LFL Phase 1 book and I am in the process of reading it.

Since I've only been on Atkins before, I was wondering about being in ketosis with LFL. I'm stunned at the amount of carbs LFL recommends, particularly to get into ketosis as compared to Atkins. Fifty to 100 g of carbs seems like I would just chunk on the weight??

Am I missing something in my head here, because with Atkins we start out with 15-20 carbs per day to get into ketosis and some people aren't able to get into ketosis even then?!

LFL looks pretty attractive to me, as I feel I'm stalling on Atkins (I'm 45 too *sigh*). I really appreciate anybody doing LFL taking the time to answer

It is 2 completely different programs - there might be a slight gain at first while your body adjusts, but you will feel SO much better and it is just so easy and so liveable!

Thanks for answering. Did you do Atkins at first?? Did you stay in ketosis even at 50-100 g of carbs??

Yes, I was worried about that too. The only thing was it took me like a week to get into ketosis. With the higher carb level, it just takes longer...but it does work! Hang in there.!

I have been on Lindora since July 2008. I lost 40 lbs by Thanksgiving. Then went into maintance . I did put 6 lbs back on. But, now I am back on track. I am back on the program. I have lost 12 lbs in 6 weeks. Atkins, is a totally different program. I would suggest that you call your nearest Lindora Clinic. The nurses there are wonderfull and they really know the program. Ask any ?'s that you have. I hope this helps. Good Luck to you.
