Nothing about your health, physical or mental etc. That in it self should be a a warning sign to anybody who thinks she actually cares about you.

"Look at yourself in the mirror. You look so good (that's why they worked so hard to get you away from KK). When my sister got the newsletter she actually called me to ask "Is that really the same person? She looks fantastic!"

"You look good, keep working toward goal."

"Now I'm lying about being proud of you? Are you serious? LOOK AT YOU."
Yes, that is all she cares about. It's a feather in her cap when her members look good on camera. She doesn't care about their emotional well being, their health, or their lives. All she cares about is people making her look good by losing weight on her ill-conceived plan.

Well, Nady remembers when it was chic to refer to oneself in the third person~ it's gets so tiring when every sentence begins with I~~ hint, hint Heidi~

Amy~ on the outside, they laugh~ but on the inside, they're terrified that you're right, and they're screwed.

Amy...apparently I write in the 3rd person too. It was pointed out yesterday. Sometimes I did it in 'jest...but it started out just that....Dee writing in 3rd person (LOL).

I am here ladies. Reading.. reading.. crying a little and reading. I am so confused.

My confusion led me to work out.. more than normal in the walking department. I walked 7 miles today. 3 this morning faster than my best time. I met a goal and then 4 on the beach. I honestly walked a blood blister on my toe. I rode my bike 8 miles today. My husband made me stop. He thought I had done too much today. I have managed to burn over 1600 calories today. You don't want to know how much I consumed.

Tomorrow I have made a deal with myself. IF I see a 1 tomorrow morning on the scale I will be taking a day off of exercising.. TRYING to give myself a break and maybe eat a little more (maybe) but definately take an exercise break. My daughter needs new spring clothes and I suggested as a treat to me for seeing a 1 she and I would go get pedicures. i will even spring for the spa ones to give my feet and legs and much needed treat.

Ok I have said enough.

Carly...
What are you confused about? Maybe I can help you.

I may of missed where you answered this...but I take it you and Dee are buddies from KK. Are you still at KK or are you banned? My best KK buddy got banned the night I did...so...

Tell me what is going on...who knows maybe I can make you feel somewhat better.

Carly.....just as I told you. You don't have to do this the way I did. You've read my journal. You know how I am about analyzing things and then writing to the point about it and writing at length.

It doesn't have to be that way for everyone. Just hang out. No decision has to be made today, tomorrow, next week, next month. Maybe never. Just hang out and read...see if anything strikes a chord with you.

I suggest going to Cleo's blog, where my mindset first opened up. In Cleo's blog, you will see someone who has lost a lot of weight and a decent pace and eaten great things. Look at her recipes. Just look.

Keep reading and posting.

Get the pedicures....you deserve it.

It is your journey.....you will know what's right for you and when it is right.

There are a couple of ways to help listed... let's do what we can to get this blog unlocked.

Ok I have said enough.

I've gotta tell you what happened to me over the past twenty years.

In the beginning, I was just trying to get my baby weight off, which I did...about 35 pounds or so.

So, here is what happened. I dieted and walked. 1200 calories a day, 3 miles a day. The weight fell off in six weeks. So, I was below what I was before I got pregnant. YAY! That worked for a few months

Suddenly, that didn't work anymore, and I gained five pounds.

So, I dropped to 800 calories or so, walked twice a day, 3 miles each time. The five pounds came off, but slowly.

At this point, I couldn't maintain, no matter what I did. If I didn't eat under a thousand calories, or skipped the exercise for a few days, I would always get back 5 to 10 pounds even with status quo.

So, I stopped eating more than a few hundred calories a day. Worked out like a mad woman......and my weight stayed exactly the same. My family couldn't believe I could subsist on so few calories.

If I deviated.....back came 5 to 10 pounds. I started feeling tired, getting injuries from exercise and headaches.

Not feeling like myself has led me to try to fix what I have broken inside of me. I started eating high fat, moderate protein, super low carb, taking suppliments, and lowering the amount I was exercising.

This has been a day by day process, but, I'm slowly able to eat somewhat normally, exercise moderately and keep at a weight I am happy with.

This has taken months, and I had to endure a gain of a few more pounds to stabilize my body. They eventually came off, but the temptation to starve myself when I gained was monumental and a huge obstacle to overcome. I was never a Kimkins member, nor did I follow her plan, but this will be a reality, I believe for those that do or HAVE followed her plan. You will gain weight if you try to eat normally and repair your body.

This is a Catch22 when you lose weight like you are doing. Trust me, I know. I hope you find something that works for you and makes you feel vibrant and healthy.

Exactly! And now it makes sense why SL suddenly cut her extremely long hair to above her shoulders. I am not a fan of SL by any means, but I have been concerned that her hair loss is the least of her problems. She has a medical history of being on steroids that can cause muscle deterioration, so to now have the malnutrition of Kimkins on top of the damage, that may have been done ....is alarming.

Her blog is a great resource of ED information.

My take on the questions being asked of Dee is the why not end of it. I don't think that qualifying what you're responding to by c and p, answering questions head on following a c and p is too much to ask. It makes for clearer communication and less confusion. I think the questions being asked are fair taking into consideration Dee's statements, position at KK, initial posts here, etc. I don't see it as uncalled for, harassing, or as an attack. Asking questions, delving beyond the surface is what this entire thing has been about and why there has been so much uncovered, and so many who have come to realize the truth. I think Dee can handle it.

I can understand the frustration of those asking and wanting answers because that's how I felt when she wasn't answering what I asked, head on. I decided to step away from that frustration for my own sake but I certainly understand those that don't need to and want answers. I think those answers are important.

I can also sympathize with what Dee must be going through right now. It's a lot to take in and sort through. From what I've witnessed I now think she's honestly gathering information and weighing that new information with what she thought she knew to be true. I hope that she's seeing what a danger KK WOE is and makes the choice to be safe and healthy.

As for the hair loss. I lost a ton. Hand fulls. Both my GP and the endocrinologist said it was due to malnutrition. It was falling out for several months. I had long hair and had to cut it to above my collar. It's now past my shoulders but thin, you can see my scalp through my hair all over my head. I use dark eyeshadow on my scalp along my hairline to disguise it. I'm only seeing regrowth in some places. Many are showing no signs of it (yet?). I hope that changes soon. It's approximately 8 months since I left KK.

Sorry, I didn't mean for this to be so long.
((Mrs.M)) I can feel your pain over your hair loss in your words.
I am sorry dear friend. We all have our features that we are vain about and I know your hair was one of yours. Please know that I imagine it is worse to you than others and many may not even notice. I do hope you start to see a turnaround soon.
Thank you for understanding my tenacity in wanting Dee's story to make "sense". I needed it to, in order for me to be less guarded about the situation. I am sure I have killed more than a few horses in my search for answers, no excuses, and no harm intended to said horse.

And I'm getting ready to go get a shower and go to Mayfest tonight to here my man...I'm gonna get off the roller coaster for a couple rides....LOL. In a few.

Carly give your husband the scales. tomorrow you do not want to see what that added load on your muscles is going to do to the scale numbers as they react ccause they know you must be in danger to have done that to them cause nobody does that just cause they want to. Once they realize you are no longer in danger they will give you a nice scale number but it doesn't haoppen the day after a new load on the muscles of somebody already dieting.

Tomorrow is my official weigh in day.. no way I can hand the scale to anyone.

Plus my husband would be a hypocrit if he did that.. he is ADDICTED to the scale.

Quoted for emphasis I know it seems counter-intuitive, eat more, lose weight, exercise too much, gain weight, but it's true. Be good to you, Carly, you've got lots of new friends here you don't even know about yet supporting you on your journey to HEALTH

I'm not sure what you're asking here. You say you want opinions on what you had to eat. My opinion? Not enough. But it looks like you already know that. Ummm....eat more? Is that what you want to hear?

Lou

ETA. I'm sorry if that sounded snarky - not my intent. Do you want suggestions on how to improve it? What is it you're looking for in the way of input? I know you'll get lots of information because this place is a wealth of it.

Carly, how about you treat yourself to a pedicure no matter what the scale says tomorrow. You don't have to lose pounds in order to deserve treating yourself to something. Go, enjoy. Relax and unwind.

It's funny because I'm always complaining about my hair. It's coarse, it's curly, it's frizzy. But man, having it fall out makes you realize just how great it really was to have. Thanks, Honey.

I can understand you wanting answers because I feel the same way. It's frustrating to ask and not be answered. I can also understand wanting to be sure that someone is what they claim to be, too. There have been far too many fakes that have come into this thread, the blogs, KK, etc that accepting at face value is foolish, imo.

OMG, Carly - the longer you eat this way and exercise the way you've been, the longer it's going to take your body to recover.

Don't eat light mayo - go for the real stuff. Yes, eat more! I don't even know where to begin.

You might be losi
