Okay......here is me....being a little distrusting. I just went to KK to see if there was a way to find someone's profile, without having their avatar post, etc. I couldn't find a way to do that. So I started to send an email to the screen name.... Then I thought...that looks a lot like URSOCK...as in your a sock puppet....LOL. So, am I paranoid ....maybe......have stranger things happened out here.....yep....

In the wellfed state glycogen synthase is allosterically activated by glucose-6-phosphate when it is present in elevated concentrations. In contrast glycogen phosphorylase is allosterically inhibited by glucose-6-phosphate as well as by ATP, a high energy signal in the cell.
During muscle contraction there is a rapid and urgent need for ATP and this comes from muscle glycogen.
The binding of hormone glucagon or epi to hepatocyte receptors or epi muscle cell receptors result in activation of adenylate cyclase and this enzyme catalyses the synthesis of cAMP, activating another enzyme and another phosphorylation and inactivates glycogen synthase.
When insulin is present glycogen synthase increases.
When glucagon is present glycogen is degraded.

My thoughts were probably along the lines of excess intake of protein like in K/E type eating. In that if we take in excess proteins we sometimes stall our weight loss and I believe it is due to the effects of gluconeogenesis. I am doing more intense reading regarding this effect.

Well, I guess I have been compared to Heidi before....Yes, the girl sounds to be in trouble. Yes, I could have done something sooner. Yes, I was trying to figure some things out for myself, so yes, I guess I'm self-absorbed. So, possibly Medusa is right and she certainly has the right to post whatever she wants to about me on her blog.

As for me, I'm going to continue plugging away with trying to get some answers...Answers for Dee on Dee's journey....(maybe its selfish--but right now, I can't solve world peace along the way...).

I'm expecting a phone call tonight from someone moderating on another site and another phone call hopefully in a day or two, from someone else. (Not mentioning names, because I'm not sure I have their permission to do so.).

Medusa's blog does make me wonder...however, if Ersoch was some bait to me to see if I was committed to finding the TRUTH, (would I dare put something in Heidi's site that she might find offensive), or if I was a "sock puppet".

In any event....I'm here searching for the truth. Sorry that Medusa feels that way about me.

To tell the truth, I was pondering on how to approach the girl. The reply that I have been thinking about was more to the tune of....if you are someone that has an eating disorder or has had an eating disorder...this may not be the program for you, because it more extreme than most weight loss programs.

I agree....I hope we can all just cut Dee some slack here. Realizing the truth about Kimknis is a tough thing. I'm sure she meant it when she said she didn't intentionally ignore the girl.

Except Medusa hasn't posted that user's name yet, so you may want to edit your posts here. My opinion is this is a real user with a real ED. I know sock puppets, and she isn't one. Trust me.

We have an interesting phenomena in hyperbaric oxygen therapy...when we dive our diabetic patients they routinely have a decrease in their blood glucose regardless of whether they are type 1 or 2 and whether or not they are controlled. 25-50 points.
There is no actual mechanism described but my thinking is that the decrease is due to epinehprine release creating a relative-type hypoglycemia.

*nodding* She's had alot happen in a short time. That's hard to digest, let alone...be expected to jump at the snap of someone's fingers.

And, no Dee...I don't think you are being selfish. You can only deal with one thing at a time. I also warned ya (and I wasn't kidding) that you would end up getting paranoid. LOL We've all been there.

I Think Medusa just really is upset about this girl. If you read her blog, she has posted a lot on eating disorders. I think she was just desperate to get this girl some help.

I really just think this is a mis-understanding.

thanks I was thinking after reading your first post about replishing glycogen stores i had missed a new biochem discovery and not only could we lose body fat eating Atkins but we could replensih those glycogen stores at the same time.

Ahh sweetie,

Pru died, there was the whole Piper couldn't accept it and even Leo couldn't love Piper back from the nether worlds. It took some intense therapy to get her out of there.

Dee you will find Medusa is a very caring person and is seeing somebody in trouble she can't help but knows you and the other folk she tried to reach out to are in a posisiton to do so. Why Kimmer would ban you for noticing a person on her site has an ED and needs help and passing information to that person is be is beyond me. And can you just see Kimmer trying to explain to the CA AJ I banned her cause somebody told her somebody on my site had an ED and she sent her information about where to get help fior her ED?

even if she is a sock puppet you have the ability to help and as is posted in somebody's siigy here all it takes for evil to triump is for good men ( or ladies in your case) to do nothing.
so step up to the plate send her the inforation and know if she is real you have done right and if she is fake you have still doen right to help your fellow person.
