Well said Magicsmom!

Unfortunately, there must be some kind of payoff for her invading our turf, throwing rocks then crying "poor me", but what that payoff is, I'm sure she's not about to disclose.

Meh. I'm done playing. This one's way too transparent.

AmyB...I'm sure Cleo can answer your questions better than I but I use a cast iron skillet all the time, love them! Once they are "seasoned" and you use them, they are very easy to clean. Most of the time all you do is wipe them out. Shouldn't use soap and if you do, you need to reseason them.

As far as snack food, Cleo is the Atkins expert at this time but I'd suggest chicken wings, legs and theghs (sp), veggies and hard boiled eggs. We will see what the expert comes up with, lol.

I am also no expert, but I love, love, love cooking with cast iron. I gave up using all that nonstick stuff because of toxins.

Chicken wings are my absolute favorites! Just add some butter and Frank's Hot Sauce and I am in heaven.

ETA: I was off-topic, too. Sorry. I will blame Kat.

Cleo---I visited you blog and have some questions about some of your recipes. Is there some way that I can email or contact you out of the thread. I'm not really familiar with most of these sites and couldn't figure out if I could PM you in LCF. Thanks, Dee

Can't figure out a PM, can't figure out how to find other threads in the forum, but can figure out how to get to THIS thread (which is pretty buried) and argue for days about the wonders of a starvation diet. INTERESTING!

You haven't been here long enough to PM, but you could leave Cleo a comment on her blog.

I understand. It's really a nuisance to have to register at all the different blog hosting sites and message boards! It gets hard to keep track of them all if you get around a lot, but it really helps keep the anonymous attacks and spam volume down. Wouldn't that be nice if that wasn't necessary?

I guess I'm a little confused here. People are saying that Dee is considered off topic. I don't think that could be further from the truth. I'm interested to hear what "the other side" has to say. I'm not talking about Heidi here, I'm talking about people who know about the Kimkins scandal and choose to stay at her site, follow her plan and support her. People who have paid the $60, don't feel they were scammed and aren't joining the lawsuit to get their money back. I know I've asked quite a few times, "Why would anyone do that?"

I've heard many people here hypothesize about why people aren't running as fast as they can away from Kimkins. But this is the first time a person from within Kimkins has actually come here to explain why she still supports Heidi and the plan. The first time someone has come in and rationally explained why they're still there. Now we have some answers. I know people who have left Kimkins have explained why they stayed as long as they did, but I don't think Dee is going anywhere soon, and I'm interested in hearing why.

What Dee has said may not be what anyone wants to hear, and we may disagree with quite a bit of it - yes, I do disagree with quite a bit of it myself - these are questions we have put out there. Dee has answered how she does the plan, which, IMO is NOT the version of Kimkins Heidi was peddling originally, which I find interesting. And, she has explained how she feels about the fake pictures and the lies. I've been surprised by a lot of what she has had to say. It's helped me understand "the other side." I may not agree with how they think, and I still can't figure out WHY they would feel that way, but it's making a little more sense.

I agree that the debate about whether Kimkins is good or bad or Heidi is a crook or not should never have been introduced into this thread. But I have found a lot of what Dee has explained about her point of view regarding Kimkins and Heidi to be, well....kind of fascinating.

Dee, you likely haven't been here long enough to PM ... I think it is 25 days or something like that. You should be able to leave a comment for Cleo on her blog ... those questions are good there as others are likely to have the same questions.

I'm not insulted at at all by the suggestion that the ducks stick to their line of expertise - sleuthing! I do find some of the 'side bars' interesting but I think Dee and others like her are very corrosive to the basics of duckling business. Her tactics have been somewhat different than the other diversionists but just as effective. She dominated the thread with her Q&A sessions, her innocent requests for recipes, her compliments, her 'snarkiness' and just plain old useless repetitive prattle. I am in agreement with the ducks who suggest she visit another thread for recipes and information - the FWK thread has an 'edginess' that should be reserved solely for KimEvil, and the the toppling of the Kimpire. Of course, let's continue to enjoy the camaraderie that like-minded pursuits provide, but please don't allow interlopers to cause us to stray from our focus.

Linc/Lou ~

I'm not under the impression that anyone thinks Dee is OT. It's that some of us, myself most definitely included, have been reprimanded for making very mild, off-color remarks about Heidi and gotten a no-no note for it. Whereas, people, such as Dee, and others can come in with what appears to be an intent to stir up trouble, call the Ducks "haters" and other such nonsense and they seem free to say whatever they want for as long as they want. To me, THAT'S the crux of the discussion here about what's OT and what isnt.

I've certainly been guilty of going OT, being silly, making jokes, whatever. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Heidi should be fair game here. There is TOO MUCH evidence of her fraud, lies, manipulations, etc. If someone makes a remark about Heidi's size, it's not due to "fat hatred or bias." It has EVERYTHING to do with the fact that she's LIED repeatedly about her current weight, her ability to lose weight and maintain those losses while staying healthy.

I once posted an off-hand remark about the size of Heidi's thong and got the smack down for it because this is a weightloss site! Hey, I know that. That's WHY I'm here! And, I would agree that in other areas of LCF, that remark would be out of line. But here? About Heidi?? I just find that a little difficult to swallow.

Now I'm really confused. I thought we got the green light to make fun of the size of Heidi's butt. I've done it.

And to prove that I can take as good as I give, my DH once said he should tie one of my larger panties to the back of the car. In case the brakes fail.

No, seriously, what aren't we supposed to be talking about. Farts? Butts? Cake?

If it's farts, I'll be SO disappointed.

No, I was pretty much under the impression that it was established in thread 1 that Kimkins was bad and that Heidi was a crook. I didn't think there was any reason to debate those facts. Because that's what they are. Facts.

I don't mind the civil discussion, but the "I blogged about you" or "keep it up, you guys are a scream" stuff has a "neener neener" flavor to it. It is baiting, pure and simple. There is only one reason to do it, and we all know what it is.

As for the debate about whether or not Kimmer is a crook, there is nothing to debate, and I agree it has no place here. She has admitted to the fraud under oath, and anyone who is still wants to be defending her is welcome to do it elsewhere. It's falling on deaf ears here.
