I agree, my perception was off. I'm glad that I did apologize when I realized the truth..otherwise I would have been too embarrassed to show my face. And, I have to say, when did apologize, the ducks were all very gracious to me.

Great to see you posting.
Another difference is the number of KKers voicing their opinion. I think that at the beginning many would come in to argue that the statements here were just opinions of "Kimmer", because there was no proof...yet!
Then once the PI pics came out, the Russian brides, the admitted lies in the deposition, it became less of opinion that kimkins was a fake, dangerous diet but a fact.
I think many of these facts made less room for members to defend and argue their case based on emotional responses. I think as the facts came out Heidi has become harder for her supporters to defend and believe in, which is a good thing.
So the number of people coming in to support the KK lifestyle or Heidi has greatly decreased, which may make things appear calmer or less combative than before, but ....ummm......we still have our moments.

oh yeah...I'm here for my daily dose of comedy...to see the "hidden" language, to see how "nice" you all really are. To see how I'm the one name calling, when the welcome wagon was rolled up to me hurling insults and one line zingers. All I did was come out to see what the hub bub was about. Yep. I'm here, but then again, your in my space too...aren't you.
Let's just say...that some day...down the road, I'm wrong. and I could be. I've been wrong before. You can rest assured that I wouldn't come here for support. While I can admit when I'm wrong....I won't participate in the nastiness and bulliness that goes on in here.

BTW....since any low carb site is about support....I'll share something with you that was shared with me. The NUWAVE oven. May want to check it out. Goes perfectly with a low carb diet. (See I actually like to share valuable information--or at least something that was valuable for me. I would much more prefer to share low carbing tips than hurl insults & mud sling--doesn't really matter if you are counting 20 carbs or 200 carbs, we can all benefit by shared tips.) Who knows....maybe someone will share something meaningful with me. (but I guess I better not hold my breath).

I have not called you names and yet you insist on calling everyone here "haters." You are the one slinging insults and sarcasm. I would love to have an adult converstaion with you. It certainly was!

It was all still pretty new then so everyone was on the defensive even ducks. It was very frustrating because you guys would ask for proof but then when we'd give you proof by copying a post or a fitday everyone would come down on us really hard, it was an impossible place to be in but it was the ONLY way to show that we were not making this up. Plus to top that off, you had Ducky sometimes going a little too far which would really make you guys feel more justified in how you felt. Then that all started to slowly change after the PI pics.

I just do not understand how they can SEE Heidi on the depo tape say YES I LIED and not think she lies. That is more proof then anyone would ever need.

SL--the comments about her pics. So you don't like her. Why gang up on her and hurl the insults that society has hurled at anyone with a weight problem. Why are her photos from an angle. Likely because she takes them herself instead of someone taking them for her.

Dee, what is really hard, are all the comments you are making without any background or knowledge. That was not a "slam" or said "snotty"...It's just the truth. All of us here have all this background knowledge of what has been going on, since last year. You are jumping in and not knowing all that.

The "deal" with Heidi's birthday is that She was going to reach "Goal". She is no where near goal. All along we were trying to figure out how she was going to "Explain" that. How was she going to deal with the fact that she said she would reach goal and have pics. We knew she would never reach it (she likes her sugar cookies and Captain Morgan too much) and wondered what her "spin" would be. It would seem that she is just going to ignore it. The Other background... Is how she would JUMP on other people's cases that they just didn't "Want it bad enough" with weight loss and we found out the entire time, she was eating Sugar Cookies (and what ever else she wanted) Drinking her Captain Morgan and sitting behind the computer pretending to be the "Woman in the Red Dress". Of coarse we all feel sarcastic about her birthday.
That's what the big deal is about and a lot of other background that you are missing.

As far as low carb support and advice etc... I would love to talk about it. This is a very large Board and all the other "Rooms" and Threads are about that. This is only One thread, that allows us to talk about Kimkins and it's dangers and our frustration and fascination with it.

One of my biggest concerns with this entire Kimkins mess happens to BE Low carb. For a lot of people, "Kimkins" was there first real introduction into it.
All that false and dangerous information really upsets me.

I/we can talk about those things "here" if you want to.

Very Low calorie, very low fat and Very Low carb is a disaster waiting to happen. You have short term and long term health effects from it.

Fat is an important part of nutrition. Our body needs it for so many reasons.

If you want to talk about it, I would Join in...I'm sure others would too.
