Sorry I haven't been on but my dear husband had a mild stroke in the brain stem about 3/14. We first thought it was Bell's Palsy (same symptoms) but then an MRI confirmed it was a mild stroke. One thing about this type of stroke is it just affects one side of your face/neck and not the rest of the body. He is regaining his speech and the numbness is disappearing. The pain associated with this is severe but that is going away as well.

Cheyl,

So very sorry to hear about your husband. Blessings to you both.

Mary

It would have been perfect weather for staying home and posting on Jimmy's forum. Guess I will have to spend most of my time here now.

We're not such a bad lot most of the time Just on Friday nights with a full moon, when the fishing seems particularly good. Then we can get a bit rambunctious.

Not to mention the not wanting to talk about LC anymore, because "we all know you need carbs"- no, I believe this was someone who intentionally sought out his forum, not a random hacker.

BTW, is anyone else still getting the "temporarily off line due to a board hack" message?
Do you think maybe the hackers stopped at $81.93 because they wanted to send the message that they "can" get into his account?

That motion to compel hearing tomorrow is going to be very interesting. Suffice to say that momentum is on the side of the ducks!

I dunno - I'd think that anyone who was hacking into a forum, and a paypal account, and setting up a debit card in his name would have gone ahead and used as much of the funds as possible.

Every time I've had or known anyone with experience with a card number being stolen, they just kept spending as much as possible, because they're thieves, pure and simple. But then perhaps I just don't understand the rationale behind hacking.

Sorry to ask about this again, but I don't understand legalese at all. Can someone explain what's going on? In 3rd grade english, please?

It makes me wonder whether magicchickendiet.net was actually hacked. Remember when it had all that weird stuff? As if the plan was to discredit or make fun of Bonnie. Now here's Jimmy having his lowcarb WOE turned upside down and discrediting him with all the drug talk.

Cheryl ~ Sorry to hear about DH. I hope you're holding up and he will be much better soon!!

AmyB ~ Good to see ya, chick. Hope you got my email about some behind the scenes stuff going on. You DO need to be careful!

SydneyN ~ Keep posting. You'll be getting those enlightening PM's from Jo before you know it!

Rose ~ Glad you got a giggle from my spam! One day my brother called me to "brag" that a dear relative of ours had died in Nigeria and left him a ton of money. I told him that I had him beaten because I was getting my p3n!s enlarged. Ha!

I honestly think the MCD.net stuff was a pathetic attempt at humor or reverse psychology. But, I'm wondering if "reverse psychology" is too sophisticated for that bunch!

Way back in Nov the judge ordered Heidi to turn over records about her bank accounts, business records, etc

Even with 2 depositions she still has not turned over everything.

Her attorney filed a motion saying they don't need to turn over anything else. That John has enough info ---that the rest of the stuff should be kept out of the records---the privacy issues etc.

John filed a motion essentially saying Heidi's attorney was full of it and Heidi needs to fork over the rest of the info.

The hearing tomorrow will determine if she has to fork over the rest of the info which will mean further depositions

That is just my take on it from reading the court papers

Thank you!

My eyes just sort of glaze over when I start to read all the legal terminology... I know what a motion is (even have a vague idea what it means in terms of law/court issues), and I know what compel means, but when it got to "FURTHER RESPONSES TO REQUEST FOR PRODUCTION OF DOCUMENTS NO.1 PROPOUNDED TO DEF DIA BY JEANESSA FENDERSON" and "OPPOSITION TO MOTION TO COMPEL BY JEANESSA FENDERSON, KARIN BILLECI, TRISTA ESSEX, HEIDI MARTINEZ, KATHLEEN ROGERS, DIANA SHERBY, CONNIE STEINROCK, CATHERINE MCGINNIS FILED UNTIMELY PER 1005CCP/317(A)CRC/437C(B)CCP Not Applicable" it sounded to me more like Jeanessa was the one in hot water!

Thank goodness it's the other way around.

Go ahead Hidey, you know you're going to have to give up the information eventually, might as well do it now and get it over with!

Oh yeah, I forgot, she doesn't think like that.

Her way of dealing with such things is to deny, distract and ignore.

That is exactly what I've been thinking. Another thought - I wonder what the threshold amount is for particular criminal classes ...

Cheryl, you already know my sentiments, but here is a anyway.

My name is Kimmer...

Drakette sends this amusing little missive from the Kimpound today.
Quote:
Kimmer: "Does anyone watch "My Name Is Earl" on NBC? Jaime Pressley plays Earl's ex-wife, Joy, and just had a baby in real life. They discussed her on the Today Show yesterday. Jaime dropped 30 lbs in a short time (I think they said like 4 lbs a week) so she could get back in shape for the TV show." Will it work for a court appearance too?

"How did she do it? "High protein and lots of vegetables, no starch or sugar." Sound familiar? She also worked out 3 hours a day with a trainer." But, didn't you say exercise isn't necessary, Heidi??

"On the Today Show they asked Joy Bauer (nutritionist) to describe a typical menu for that way of dieting: "egg white omelette with veggies for breakfast, a large veggie salad with grilled chicken on top for lunch and more grilled lean protein and veggies for dinner." Joy also added an apple for a snack." Snacking on apples?? Wwwhhhhaaatt??? Since WHEN is that allowed on Kimkins???

"Seems I've heard of a diet like that somewhere? Hmmm. Yes, you have Heidi. It's called ATKINS and it just one of the plans you "borrowed" from for Kimkins, (Jaime is not a Kimkins member.)"
Geeez. You'd think someone who's a fan of this show would be more worried about Karma, wouldn't you?
