Yes, a "Hershey's Kiss" is much better then having the "Hershey Squirts".

Ok, I got my laughs out and must go to bed, no dutch ovens allowed.

Have a Great night all. I guess we needed the laughs.

Night!

You don't want to find out he answer to that question.

As was said while I was out: It was HUMOR, something you are apparently not familiar with, no run back to your hideout and snicker in PMs to gary or swalt or whoever about how you really showed us... If you want to come here and swim with ducks, you best be prepared to at least get wet. Get over yourselves already (yeah, you, I see you lurking here). Dana would, by supporting Kimkins-- a plan of people who tend to eat less than an Olson twin on a binge day-- be losing a spankload of cookbook buyers.
Yes people commented on Jimmy dragging Dana in to it so Dana confirmed that she was giving him permission, I think Jimmy posted the email or something along those lines.

I have no idea on her motives or whether she knew much about kimkins but when that happened I know I sure as heck emailed her explaining what kimkins was all about and I am sure others did too.

So, seeing that she was told about the nature of Kimkins, is reasonable to believe she replied and perhaps gave some acknowledgment regarding the dangers of a very low calorie diet?

What response did you receive?

I don't give Kimmers 100% credit for my hard work. I did do the work, but I also appreciate the fact that she provide the place and the plan for me to do it. A plan that works for me. A plan that according to me and my doctors is healthy for me. A plan that I chose and am accountable for my actions with.
I have never asked that anyone do anything but RESPECT me and my choice. If it's not for you, I RESPECT that. But most of what I have experienced outside the KK site is people wanting to sling mud and sabatoge. I didn't come out here until someone tried to hi-jack my home site.
I have nothing but the best wishes for everyone on a weight loss journey. Unfortunately, my experience out in cyber-world from "some" others, has not been the same.
I don't have an ax to grind with anyone. Amy, I answered your question in my blog. But again, the fact that I blog....must be Kimmers fault. LOL.
Thanks again,
Dee
Hello Dee

I haven't googled you nor have I read anything written from you until now. I just wanted to say its not simply about respecting your choice. I believe you represent kimkins in some way by being on the front page?

Okay you think this diet is healthy for you which imo is yet to be proven but what about others? What about possible teenage members or the children of members there? Would you still think that diet is healthy?

You see Dee, its this comment that worries me the most about kimkins, no it doesn't worry me it scares me. Kimkins is very ketogenic and hence it suppresses the diet very well, not only that, lean protein is frankly extremely boring. Due to the fact your food choices are very low in calorie and appetite suppressing by nature it is very easy to eat too little without realising. From what I have read, I find it usually goes two ways, you either don't eat enough and eat less and less or it makes you severely hungry and leads to a roller coaster of binging. Either one, has great potential to be extremely dangerous.

Did you realise that that it can go to the extent of people only being able to stomach 4 bites of chicken and 1 coffee because they are not hungry?

Or that there was a 14 year old girl on your forum whom was not even overweight whom had trouble raising her calories over 500 because it worked that well? And Kimmers response to her was that you don't need to worry about calories so long as you have body fat!

What about the pro-ana girls using kimkins as a way to live with their eating disorder by curbing their hunger? Is that something that should be encouraged?

What about metabolism? doesn't it bother you that everyones metabolism will adapt to such low calories making it harder and harder to continue losing and maintaining their losses over the long term?

Does it bother you that lots of ex members there are now complaining of eating disorders?

OK Dee it has to be said.

Would you have forked over the $17,000 for lapband surgery if the doctor was a fraud? If the before and after pictures of his/her patients used as qualifications instead of a medical degree were stolen from a website? If he/she lied about medical qualifications? Used a fake name? Had no licence or degree to practice medicine?

Or would you have said hey who cares that he is not a real doctor if I can get skinny fast. It might kill me but it works so respect my choice.

You miss the point of the anger at Kimkins totally. But hey it worked. Great.

Barking Spiders
- from Urban dictionary
A highly elusive nocturnal specie of spider mainly from the Tennessee area (also known as the Tennessee barking Spider). While no live specimens have been caught in order to be studied, this is the only spider known to man with the capability to "bark". These spiders are attracted by the scent of bratwurst and sourcrout and also been known to emerge on taco tuesdays. While you may not see them, you will hear them and at times feel them scurrying through the couch cusions. They do use a foul odor as a defensive mechanism. Beware the silent Tennessee barking spider, it is a deadly sub-specie and should be avoided at all costs.
***

I think this species is now spread worldwide.
A guy I work with brought them into his house WITH KIDS!!! He works for a comic shop and other bugs IE- Roaches These Spiders will kill the other bugs, making sure the other bugs do not eat the glue from cardboard boxes, and comics. It's nasty!!! Why purposely bring them into your home!?
