My boy kitty, Fella, LOVES WATER. He is a Turkish Van (not purebred, as he is a rescue kitty), and I swear, he's going to jump in the pool one day. Turkish Vans are also called "swimming cats", but I never have seen him swim! He might surprise me one day!

He also loves to get in the bathtub and watch the water run.

Oh, he's gorgeous! I had an orange and white, but he was a Maine Coon. He passed away 3 years ago.

Linda..
I spoke with the DR Sat...I ran into him at the deli counter at Publix. Ha. We had a long blunt talk. we will not know anything till mid to end week. He said if it is bad she would have to have the finger removed as the first step and then treatments. Kind of scary to even think of. The other part of this is...it is her wedding ring finger. Long time to even think about that..but you know us moms. I am sure in my heart the test will come back fine..but my gut is a tad worried.
Thanks Linda for always asking about the kids..
Oh and we are doing Thearpy everyday..ouch but so needed.

Yep, I tried everything before KK, including LAPBAND--I've never made it a secret. You can read my posts and blogs, where I clearly state that I had LAPBAND surgery that failed. It was removed in December of 2006. So the 20 lbs or so that I lost with the lapband (along with the $17,000 that I lost with the LAPBAND) was gained back before I found KK in June of 2007. So...in answer to the rhetorical question of how much credit KK gets for my weight loss. It's 100%.
I'm really an open book about my journey. Nothing to hide and always happy to talk about it. I realize and respect that my journey is not for everyone and I ask the same respect in return.
So, feel free to email me....no need to google my screen name and go searching. All that I have done is open for anyone to know as they try to navigate their way on their own personal weight loss journey.
Thanks,

Can you tell us how much speed and what kind? I'm doing the preliminary research to start a new paid weight loss web site.

So Dee I give you the full credit for YOUR weight loss.
I posted a question on your blog. I am curious did Heidi ask you or mention to you that she would like you and others to do pro KK blogs?
You are 100% correct.

Dee - give yourself credit for losing the weight. I'm sorry that your previous attempts didn't work. By the way - welcome to our site.

Thanks for the words..
yes I realize that not everyone googled my screen name, but at least one did and wanted to point out where all my footprints were laying.
I don't give Kimmers 100% credit for my hard work. I did do the work, but I also appreciate the fact that she provide the place and the plan for me to do it. A plan that works for me. A plan that according to me and my doctors is healthy for me. A plan that I chose and am accountable for my actions with.
I have never asked that anyone do anything but RESPECT me and my choice. If it's not for you, I RESPECT that. But most of what I have experienced outside the KK site is people wanting to sling mud and sabatoge. I didn't come out here until someone tried to hi-jack my home site.
I have nothing but the best wishes for everyone on a weight loss journey. Unfortunately, my experience out in cyber-world from "some" others, has not been the same.
I don't have an ax to grind with anyone. Amy, I answered your question in my blog. But again, the fact that I blog....must be Kimmers fault. LOL.
Thanks again,
Dee

I am being sincere when I say that I hope that continues to be the case for you long term. There is a lot of evidence to the contrary, that Heidi's plan is dangerous AND leads to a damaged metabolism that makes it nigh impossible to maintain those losses (and good health) long term. I feel confident in saying however that if, God forbid, that ill fate does befall you someday, you will be welcomed here and/or other places with open arms and support to find a new long term solution.

And I say this as someone who unapologetically googled your screen name. When you help Heidi advertise her diet by being on her front page or by agreeing to be in her newsletter, those actions are at odds with what most of us believe to be innocent, self interested weight loss, through whatever means. You were only brought up in here and on various blogs because you became an advertisement for Heidi, and swalt was only brought up because she was posting some ugly comments under various false names. No one here is out to get any KK member or destroy anyone lives, but at some point you cross the line from an innocent victim of Heidi's scams, and and become an active participant. There were many that used to "be" you before they finally opened their eyes and saw the truth about Heidi and her disastrous diet. Good luck to you on your journey; most of it still remains I fear.

Just to clarify what I said about not googling Dee's screen name. I don't want to give the impression that I disapprove of anyone googling it. I just take issue with so much of what Dee has had to say on the subject of Kimkins that I don't really see much need see more of what she has to say about it.

Dee...I too hope that you continue to do well and be healthy and maintain your weightloss but statiscally there's not much chance of that happening.

This is true. Haven't posted these links in a while, thanks for reminding me Truth.

THYROID WEIGHT RESEARCH

Resting metabolic rate, body composition and thyroid hormones. Short term effects of very low calorie diet.

Energy-metabolism adaptation in obese adults on a very-low-calorie diet -- Fricker et al. 53 (4): 826 -- American Journal of Clinical Nutrition

Low Carbohydrate Nutrition: Research on the Safety of Very Low Calorie Diets
(This one mentions KK)

Deedlyn, if you want to do KK, I am sure that is fine with most of us. If you want to starve yourself half to death, I wouldn't want that, but honestly that's fine with me too. Individual choices are one thing, but helping Heidi Diaz perpetuate a scam and continue hurting MANY people....that's a whole different matter.
Of course you want people to respect your personal decision in how to lose weight. I am sure anorexics want people to respect the fact that they don't want to eat.
On the subject of respect, what about respecting the MANY people who were scammed and defrauded out of money and, worse, good health.

I did not say it was Heidi's fault. It was a simple question. Because in the past Heidi has asked people to do postive Kimkins blogs...and I was curious if she was feeling the pressure and asked you to start one..

I don't really care about the googling of my name, but if someone is going to piece together the story....they should make sure they have it right. They wondered how much I lost with the LAPBAND. If they really looked, they would find that the LAPBAND failed for me...but that wasn't mentioned. It was just the fact that I had LAPBAND, how much of the loss was LAPBAND and how much was KK.
As far as starvation, far from. If I'm hungry I eat. I just chose not to eat carbs. My choice.
Some of you guys sound sincere, like folks that I'd like to agree to disagree with about KK and possible share some of the ups and downs of this journey with.
Others appear to just want to be sarcastic, etc with me. I guess I don't need to worry about it. I don't have to return here if I choose not to, it's just if folks are going to be talking about me on the internet forums. I'd like it to be the truth, not their made up version about my LAPBAND surgery. For the record, it's still a bi
