She was telling all paniced inductees posting they were stalled cause they dropped more then a few pounds the previous few days but didn't shed any that day to cut the fats out of their Atkins. I only discussed how low fat was not Atkins and weight loss wasn't linear for them. My suggested very politely she post in the low carb other section of the board didn't go over too well and she left after a few days of those posts appearing after her posts.

I don't have evidence that she ever banned anyone JUST for having a duck avatar. That must be part of the urban legend. LOL

Ahhh, memory lane. Recognize anyone? HB, who blossomed into our very own anti-HD blogger that we know and love. SL used to think I was HB.
I bought a pink rubber ducky from CVS after I read that entry!

Hey Amy ... got your message the other night and have tried a couple of times to call you like you asked, but haven't gotten through. Give me a call ... I'll be around today for sure.

Yeah...and you could take that another way too. Most of them might even have croaked by following Hidey's advice for several years. What a horrible thought.

It's definitely worth it to pay a little more and not have to deal with those burps.
Oh THANKS a million for posting this.

I really NEED fish oil to help with some of my health issues but the last huge bottle I got is disgusting. It is strawberry flavored fish oil and the burps make me want to hurl. Even taking with food they repeat for hours.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone re: fish oil. I'm happy with the flax oil and they function in the same way. I believe the Eades recommend flax oil for those who can't do fish oil stuff. Bama, ewww. You have my sympathy!

For my weekend camping trip I bought some Smart Balance peanut butter cause it was lower in carbs and blended with flax oil. It was NOT tasty! But, my dog LOVES it!

Jo ~ Awwww! Thanks for the nice comment about my hair. Honestly, having curly hair -read frizzy! - makes me want to shave it off about 2-3 times per year. Fortunately I always talk myself out of it. You're sweet to say it's gorgeous! And, I'm looking forward to lunch tomorrow!

Oh and a few posts back ya'll were discussing Nioxin shampoo. I've tried the Nioxin supplements and I liked them but they're pricey. I'm getting the same or better effect from what I'm using now. As far as having to stay on the shampoo once you start - that sounds like some marketing bull-oney to me. I don't believe anything that you put on, then wash right off is going to do that much for you!

Somehow, I find myself more skeptical about marketing claims these days!

What I was lead to believe & none of it was from people who advocate Nioxin at all, was that it is like Rogaine in the sense that once your hair gets used to it and then you stop, everything that you have regrown will go back to original status.

I'm just sayin....

Drakette sends info from the Kimpound!

XXXXXX & XXXXXX, so glad everything is OK! Hopefully XXXXXXXX is still traveling and wasn't affected. Didn't you all have an earthquake not too long ago? I had no idea XX was such an exciting place, LOL. But, that's what it's like to be agoraphobic. I don't travel much. And, don't expect to see me in LV because of this devasting illness.

It's Friday ladies, have a STRONG end and get your plan together for the weekend: menus, shopping, activities. Have a "strong end?" Ya'll KNOW where I'm wanting to go with this considering it's Heidi we're talking about, but I'm gonna be good!

We went to dinner for my son's birthday and I wasn't 100% on plan. Oddly, I didn't cheat on purpose. No! Of COURSE you didn't! I ordered something that I've always ordered (non Kimkins) and in chatting with people I didn't think twice about it.Wait a sec?! What happened to having a plan? How could you order without thinking about it? Don't you want it bad enough Kimmer? But the shocker was having a fruit punch drink which I never do (our friends ordered a round) and I sipped it without thinking. Fruit juice (just happens to be a great mixer for Cap'n Morgan)! Carb central ... and not good for diabetics. Haven't had pineapple juice in forever (and I love it) so live and learn and I'm planning a coping strategy for the next time out. Planning to cheat, I can understand ... but not thinking before ordering? What was that about? It's about an out of control ego-maniac who's making a pathetic attempt to relate to her followers in order to keep them under her thumb.

Yes, my birthday is coming up! May 10. I love my birthday, always have ... weird, huh? I don't do anything spectacular or ritzy, it's just a special day to me. When I turned 40 it landed on Mother's Day, now I'm turning 50 and it's the day before Mother's Day. That's nice, too. Heck yeah let's have a virtual party! OK, protein cake, Crystal Light smoothies ... what else? I want to celebrate with my girls! No, what you really want is to celebrate with a few cabana boys, eh Kimmer?

I'll be back, the water heater guy is here. Ugh. I don't even want to know ....
Oh, mister fix it man, I've had a serious reversal of fortune lately and don't know HOW I'm gonna pay you. But I do have some ideas..
Thank you Drakette for sending this and letting me put in the comments in red. And, Heidi. I do hope you get the appropriate amount of enjoyment out of my translation!

Have you tried the Skippy Natural? It's low carb and made with palm oil so it doesn't separate. I love it.

I agree about the special shampoos. I don't believe in them either.

I think the reason people think they work is that they are 1) off the nutritionally decrepit diet that caused it and 2) diet induced hairloss is self limiting when you begin eating healthier.

The thing is, most of us went gonzo and began using the shampoos, conditioners, improving our diet and adding biotin and other supplements. Then we think the shampoo works. I think it's the diet and supplements...JMTCW.

Hmm, I may have to try that PB. I've used Smucker's for years because there is no sugar added. It IS a pain stirring it that first time, but then I keep it in the refrigerator and it doesn't separate. But I like the added benefit of the palm oil.

I'll second the rec for enteric coated: No issues for me.

Some background:
An enteric coating is a barrier applied to oral medication that controls the location in the digestive system where it is absorbed. Enteric refers to the small intestine, therefore enteric coatings prevent release of medication before it reaches the small intestine.
Most enteric coatings work by presenting a surface that is stable at the highly acidic pH found in the stomach, but breaks down rapidly at a less acidic (relatively more basic) pH. For example, they will not dissolve in the acidic juices of the stomach (pH ~3), but they will in the higher pH (above pH 5.5) environment present in the small intestine. Materials used for enteric coatings include fatty acids, waxes, and shellac.

Bahahahah....oh this is good. I went to CVS today, in Corona, to get gauze and tape so we could change the dressing on my grandmother's chest after she had surgery for breast cancer last week. So I am walking through the store and what to my wandering eyes do appear????? A very large moving lump of lies....anyone wanna guess? Come on, you know you want to!!
Quote:
Ok, im spilling! I was so wishing I had my phone with me, I could have snapped some pictures darn it! No, I didnt call her an ugly name. I just walked down the aisle behind her, staying back about 10 feet, and every time she stopped or turned, I pretended to be surveying the products on the shelf. I think I must have started making her nervous, because she stopped and looked right at me. This went on for a good ten minutes, then she started heading up to the cashier. I resisted screaming out KIMMER YOU LYING FRAUDULENT COOKIE CRUMB COVERED A**HAT!!, but...I couldnt let this occasion pass. So, I got closer behind her on the way to the front, and I started quacking very quietly as I was walking. hehe. As I passed her, quacked louder and faster, and got a very VERY dirty look indeed. Kept heading to the door, turned around, and said DUCKS RULE AND KIMMER'S A FOOL! Then flounced out to mah lil car and went to grandma's house. I have to say, it was one of the MOST satisfying experiences in my life, I think I will start doing ALL my shopping in Corona, although, it is evident they will let ANYONE in there bahahahah.

I think she ordered without thinking because she is so unaccustomed to being on plan. It is obvious she hasn't done any plan (other than the sugar cookie and Cap'n Morgan one!) for years!

ETA to the one who commented on AmyB's blog about the sugar cookie and Cap'n Morgan references - GET OVER IT! You don't have to read here if it bothers you!
