Someone refresh my memory, please. When is SL's deposition???
Oh and thanks for all the pats on the back! I do appreciate it. I'm trying to refocus my attention everyday on the things I'm doing right and be proud of that, rather than beating myself up over succumbing to some temptation like peanut butter! I realize that I am harder on myself than I would EVER be on anyone else, and where has that gotten me? Fat. That's where! I tend not to care too much for the kind of person who constantly needs a public display of adoration (Kimmer, are you listening?) But, sometimes it's okay, I think, to say 'hey I'm proud of myself for such and such' and let it be known. You guys are very sweet to recognize me. So, I just wanted to say thanks! ![]()

I relate to what you guys are saying. And sometimes I think, "What will I do when I'm not obsessing about my weight?". I have obsessed about it almost my entire life (at least since junior high). I think that that may be why I have never been completely successful. I have lost more weight than I care to mention, but I never lost it all or kept it off. I think it's been a way of focusing on one thing, while neglecting others; making excuses for why I haven't done certain things; for why my life is where it is and not where I want it to be...etc. You guys get the point.

ETA: The info I posted was researched via publically available (or semi-publically available to anyone in Kimkins). There was no reason to censor it. You would have us allow Heidi's paid minions to hide behind a cloak of LCF? What about the tag put on LittleSina outing her as Singinglass? Is it ok, as long as an admininstrator does it? Let's have an open discussion about this here. Disappearing posts in what happens inside Kimkins.

Question about BMR and weightloss
Okay, I'll try to keep this short and sweet. I need a little "expert" assistance.
I've been stuck in my weightloss effort for a while, and I can't seem to get unstuck. I know many here advocate only counting carbs and not anything else, but I don't think I can get by like that. Obviously I'm eating more than I did on KK. I only ate 500-800 calories a day for about 3 months. In September '07 when I switched to PPLP I continued to lose and have gotten as low as 204. I'm now back up to 210. ![]() I have tried to eat just under my BMR which is about 1,850 calories per day. I've tried eating 1600-1700 calories per day, but I gained eating that much and I DON'T want to eat that much. I'm more comfortable eating between 1200-1400 calories per day. That suits my appetite and I'm not having to smack my own hand too much. Also, as of about 2-3 weeks ago, I started adding in a daily 2 mile/30 minute walk - which is fairly brisk but I can still carry on a conversation. I've been bouncing up and down over the same 4-5 lbs. for months now and I'm frustrated! What do I do???????????????? Oh, and my daily plate (mayberryfan) is public and I keep it to the morsel, for the most part. ![]() |

What you are doing sounds good, and if you want to drop so you're between 1200-1400, I don't think that would hurt you any. Don't go below that, though! |

A little help..
Mayberry,
I too was having gain issues, but I decreased my nut consumption and added more exercise. It seems to help. I also, noticed salty foods seem to keep my weight up, like cheese. I am watching my carb load and trying to eat more greens. I upped my daily walk/run time to 60 minutes and after the run I drink a large glass of water to flush the ketones out. It is a constant effort not to regain after KK. Lauren |

Hello, everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster here. This is off topic, but I read on here about a federal vote for mental health issues on this board. I believe Bama Gal was the original poster. Does anyone know where these posts are?
Thanks. LINDA |

I had the same thing happen. A post disappeared where I quoted you, but it was reposted, when I asked about its disappearance, because your post had the last name edited out.
I have been trying to just go with the flow, but either- what is allowed in the posts has been recently reconsidered, or you are not a person one should quote or post around-because it seems contagious. lol. |

Magicsmom and Larcana ~
Thanks! I don't eat much cheese at all. Maybe 1-2 T grated in my eggs 1-2 times per week. I usually eat about 1 oz (28) almonds per day. I'm going to lose the peanut butter - as bad as that will hurt! - and see if it helps. It seemed like the weight was just falling off then came to a HALT. I know stalls are common on LC but this is getting ridiculous. At least I didn't regain a lot quickly when I quit doing KK. I quit the diet way before I got banned! Maybe I just need to give the exercise time to start helping. I know I'm terribly insulin resistant. I've looked at the whole fast twitch/slow twitch muscle theory and how moderate exercise is more helpful to taking off weight rather than something very strenuous. I just cannot make myself do really strenuous exercise. It leaves me exhausted whereas walking makes me energized. That feels right to me! |

I am not aware of any threatened police action or legal action to LCF by Gary or anyone else from Kimkins. In general, we don't want this site being used to aid in the harassment or slandering of other people or businesses. There will be many judgment calls made by admins in what not to allow - and we ask for your patience and understanding since we often don't have complete information but plenty of complaints from both sides. We occasionally read this thread and some of the blogs, but please understand that the admins are not able to keep up with everything that is going on in this or all the other topics discussed on this board. We ask for your help in bringing our attention to areas that need to be addressed. We do not claim to offer full freedom of speech here, but we attempt to be fair in permitting discussions according to our Terms of Service. If there are topics that you would like to discuss that are not appropriate for this board, feel free to take it to your own personal blog or another message board. |

Thanks Tom. I understand that full freedom of speech cannot be offered here, and nor do most of us expect it. There are a growing number of disgruntled folks who do disagree with where the lines are drawn and how inconsistently they seem to be drawn.

I toook a look at your fitday and here are my observations: 1) Butter is not allowed. 2) You went a little overboard with the Parmesan cheese! 3) Watch the granular splenda, it has a carb per packet 4) I see you didn't claim any carbs for your coffee? 5) Don't be afraid to lower your calories, eat lean protein only when really hungry, and stop when you think that might be enough, don't wait until you are full. 6) How's the potty? Maybe you haven't lost because you haven't gone in a while? I recommend a full to double dose of Ex-Lax followed by a 50% dose every day after that. You want to keep things moving. Toxins build up in there and ferment. SOUND FAMILIAR? Thought you might need some reminiscing, since you miss Heidi so much. Like Becky one said in a blog post: Do the opposite, you'll be safe. ETA: Yeah, satire for me too, in case you are really dense. Last edited by thetruthinhiding : 04-28-2008 at 02:27 PM. |
