Was it the food choices? They're pretty limited, but some people really do like strict limits. Was it that there were not many veggies required? (Some people really don't like veggies) If you can tell us exactly what you liked about it, then perhaps we can find a plan that will suit you, based on your dietary preferences.

Do a really clean Induction. Watch your portions. Don't starve yourself. If you are eating 20 carbs a day, then watch your protein allotment..probably no more than 90 grams a day and be sure to get a good amount of healthy fats..coconut oil, olive oil, etc. Stay away from lots of bars and premade shakes. If you low carb, the only healthy way is to depend on fat (body/dietary) fat for energy.

I'm agreeing with the recommendations here. If you are medicating for the depression be sure to check with the doctor about that. Take some time to learn more about the many options of low carb. It is a balance of things - but you shouldn't have to go so low on the calories, and you don't want to lose it too fast - as you can not only gain it back fast but the more you yo-yo the more damage you can cause to your metabolism. Make a commitment to take it slow or as long as it takes, educate yourself as best you can, and track your progress. Also, were you exercising? If not, it really is beneficial for too many reasons. It is work. Everyone is different and there are no magic numbers in stone (as far as the right amt of cals for you - I know nothing about you and wouldn't have a clue). I started just over 3 weeks ago (with atkins) and I am down 7 pounds. The weather is just getting nice enough that I will be adding exercise and will probably pick up the pace. But I am not rushing it. I've been rifling through all kinds of recipes and enjoying learning some new tricks. I too lost with KK and lost over 60 and wound up gaining 30 back. I'm sure it would have all come back if I hadn't thrown out all of my larger clothes. The problem with even suggesting KK is that Heidi/kimmer is not qualified to be giving diet advice. That diet is completely lacking enough nutrition to keep the body of getting deprived in some way. The recommended multivitamin is a joke. Even if you didn't see any hair loss or recognize any of the other physical side effects, it doesn't mean your body was ok from it. That's why it is very important for you to take the time to research the different plans and find one that comes closest to how you would like to eat. Once you change it, it is no longer Kimkins. And that is a good thing. |

Praying for Gran and her upcoming surgery. Unfortunately, there may be others in the Kimpire who won't know the extent of the damage they have done to their bodies until it's too late. Please keep us posted on how she is doing, Amy.

Ladies...
Today is a hard day for Gran..she is seeing the specialist to discuss her operation. This is a very scary time for her. As many know she let me blog about this...so if you can show her your support. I think she needs to know she did the right thing. Next I also blogged today about a camp member. Odd findings today after some very harsh PM were sent to some of us over there. After seeing I was the main focus of them..I went searching...and guess what... Take a look at my sec blog entry for the day... The very person who has been bashing Philip non stop in my blog comments and having me do trash duty daily..she is at camp and does not speak english....Huh? Go visit my blog..if ya wanna hear more. |

Hi Amy I am days behind on blog posts of everyone, but I just commented about one of the people posting to you there on your blog.
Did you note their screen name- vatefairefoutrelol I looked at it and thought if you break the name down into parts it reads: va te faire foutre lol va te faire foutre It is a French expletive of “go “yourself” and of course lol Meaning to "laugh out loud." Their comments on your blog all make since now.....I wonder who it could be?!?!? ![]() |

Jeanessa when you look at your fitday look at the reports section and click nutrtional needs section and check out your vits and minerals. May inductees are too low potassium which can cause tiredness. if your reports don't have potassium listed go to the goals section and click on all the vits and minerals you can pick any number for your ranges from 1 to infinity it doesn't matter as you want to see the number you had that day anyways.
off to read Amy's blog |

Nessa please don't take this the wrong way--I admire you losing weight and wanting to get you blood sugars under control---but my concern is you aren't eating enough---I've looked at your fit day and see your BMR you are taking in half of the calories you are expending each day--- have you read Regina's post about 5 simple rules--- she also has some posts buried in her blog about induction---really good info also in trying to be helpful here--check out Bloodsugar 101 on her blog Jenny talks about those with "pre-diabetes" or type II who need to lose weight are having great success using Byetta--Jenny is also a member here(Blood Sugar 101)
