Jo, you old softy!

That was an excellent post.

Okay, everyone wish me luck today! I have a job interview with the county school system. It's not a teaching job, but it's at the central office and requires certification. Sounds lofty, but its someone to coordinate resources for students in the system that are struggling for whatever reason. I think I can help out with that!! So, think lots of good thoughts for me. It will be a foot in the door, so to speak.

Oh, and Truth, Cutie, Christin, et al., it's nice to have you guys hanging out with us more around here!

Good luck Mayberryfan!

Truth, great reminder of Heidi's poor advice and admonitions to everyone else. Sometimes we need to review what kind of incredible stuff she said.
I lurk everyday, but don't always have time to post.

I know I don't post here very much and this is off topic...but so many of my friends from Jimmy's are here, so I'm poking my head in to say, my cat died and I am heartbroken over it. I blogged about it this morning.

Ok..there I said it. Hard to admit ...harder to fix.
Ah, Amy, I am sorry you are struggling.

The first part is admiting it. I know you will figure it out. You are such a strong, smart woman. And I admit that at times I found myself cutting calories and fat. It didn't last very long, and I tried to convince myself that I was doing Stillman's, but it wasn't. So you're definitely not alone.

Oh, Vickie I am SO sorry. My "dog" is fourteen years old and I can't imagine what I would do without her. I call her my baby and I am her mom, my parents are her grandparents, my brother her uncle. I can't even imagine what you're going through. My heart goes out to you.

Oh, Vickie, I am so sorry. Our cat (Mufasa) died a couple of years ago, an orange and white maincoone, and it happened while we were on vacation. It took us a year before we could even think of getting another cat. But then we heard that some kittens were abandoned and they had placed all but one, so ... well you know. Our new one, Figaro (named for Gepetto's cat in Pinnochio) is completely different in personality and we love him dearly.

It is so hard to lose a pet. I feel for you.

Truth...thanks for the new link but I really wish you people who like to use the black backgrounds wouldn't, it is very hard to read (for us old people, lol).

Vickie...sorry about your cat (not a cat fan but I understand how our pets are our family).

AmyB....get over it (kidding). Those of us who followed KK have been there. It does get better but it is a prime example of how she messes with your head with her WOE.

Thank you all so much for your kind words of support and sympathy. I know that it's going to get better but right now it's pretty hard. We have 2 other cats so that makes it a little easier. It's not like the house is completely empty....but we're still avoiding being home...

Vickie's Voice: Goodbye Misha

awwww, Vickie.... I SO know what you are going through. My youngest daughter lost her beloved tuxedo cat over the holidays, and we were all just devastated, including her cat's twin sister. It was a very hard time for all of us. So, I'm sending hugs your way, darlin...

It sure is hard to lose our precious lil furbabies...

Oh, I love Tuxedo cats! How old is yours? Mine's a little over a year. This picture is old, though. He was 7 mos.

Here he is:

Oh wow...what a cutie! I love tuxedo cats so much and none of mine are tuxedos. Misha was a maine coon looking mix, Cloe is too and Agnes is a grey tabby. All three were rescues. When I can do it I will blog Misha's story. She had a great 15 year run for an abandoned, sick, little kitten we found in a parking lot in the rain.

Mine is 8. We have his brother too and he is a BIG grey tabby. Big mooshes, both rescues and are still a little freaky. Here is a pic of my Fig during potty training. He did great until he realized he was peeing into his favorite drinking fountain.

I don't understand how people can do that. Ours at least was left in a box outside of a veterinarian office.

He's gorgeous! I didn't know you could potty train cats. How is that accomplished? (You can PM me if you don't want to post it)
