Dee, I just wanted to comment on your siggy. My gosh, lady, you've had a tough row to hoe. It takes strength of character to plunge both into rehabilitation and Fascination! (The latter requires a lot of endurance!)
I'm happy you seem to be winning the battle on both fronts. From a fellow Canuck.

Has anyone heard from HoneyBee? She hasn't been around for a while, and I'm worried about her. It's just not like her not to comment on all the happenings that have been going on around here lately.

Mmmmmm, Who would've thunk it??

Drakette sends an amusing bit of doublespeak from old Heidi:

Kimmer: "Toss the too big clothes! Dr. Phil says to create a failure proof atmosphere. If there's no bigger clothes to fall back on then it's a little scarier! Your new jeans won't be too tight by NEXT weekend." Of course, this means NOT being a pig by squeezing half a lime in your water. It you tweak it, it's NOT water-fasting .

Kimmer:" I'm a 100% non-fashion person Except of course for my strange fondness for socks! and keep clothes for years (decades even, LOL!) Somebody see if any of my "admins" need a little darning. When I find something I like (which basically means it fits, I'm hard to fit) I keep it. The red shirt I'm wearing on the front page is the same red shirt in my siggy below. Now it's too big so I did some quick alterations and changed the neckline. I wish I'd just thought to photoshop it as well, and save myself all that tedious sewing. Oh, wait, THAT IS how I "altered" it to fit.

Sugarfreedee...

Gosh, reading your siggy, it sounds like you've been through so much. Glad to know you're doing better! And yes, the whole Heidi saga has us all It's unreal that someone could lie, manipulate and use people like she does and not be a politician.

If she's a fraud and a lawsuit is going on, why is this individual allowed to still collect monies from people via memberships and clothing sales via her kimkins website? I just looked at the website and she is among the others with finally a 'true' picture and weight stat posted.

I really don't know what to think of this Nut job.

After reading your siggy Dee I just had to comment. I can really empathise with you as I was in a severe accident at the beginning of this year myself. I spent a week in the hospital with a severe head injury as well, concussion, swelling and bleeding on the brain and I was amnesiatic (LOL is that a word??) for the first week or so... and I'm still recovering. Glad to have you here and unfortunate that it is this sad situation that has brought all of us together. So glad you are doing better now though. Keep fighting!!!

To whomever asked about Honeybee~

I miss Queen Bee too, but her profile shows she was on just a couple of days ago. I don't know what's going on with her. Hopefully she's okay.

Perhaps Mrs.M has heard from her? Mrs.M - did HB finally have to go do some dishes? Fold some clothes? Something like that???

If she's off doing dishes I sure hope they're mine that she's doing.

Sorry Mayberry, I don't know what's going on. I haven't heard from her. Last I heard she and her family weren't feeling well but I think they're over that now. Maybe she's just really busy sleuthing or has family stuff going on.

On a sad note -- a huge pecan tree fell along our main street. It fell on a car driven by a man with his grandson. The grandson had to have his spleen removed and it broke the man's back. He is going to be paralyzed. Of course, in a small town, we all know each other, so that makes it even worse.
Reb that is so sad.....

luckily things stayed fairly quiet in my part of the state---storms were flying north and south of us but noe here---thank goodness

Jo-Mayberry----glad to see y'all made it through---it looked pretty rough up your way

Hey Christin---have you read Dr McCleary's book---he has some great brain exercises that sure would help with the Short term memory deficit---brain injuries like yours are known for causing that

That is so sad, rebel! Those pecan trees sound like they're kind of dangerous.

As a reminder please do not open or click on any link sent from a "no-reply" address from Low Carb Discussion. Jimmy will be back in town at the beginning of next week. In the interim time, his admin is working diligently to repair the damage done and the latest update is that the hacker's IP has thus far been traced back near the Los Angeles area in California.

Well, how about that?????
They will find out who it is. This is a criminal investigation, and the IP will have to cooperate with the authorities.

He is feeling better and the pain has subsided a lot today.

Now back to the subject ..... I have got to get caught up on the legal aspect ..... Heidi not producing the documents that John and the court requested.

Sure hope she doesn't get the idea of a suspicious fire in her home .... Wonder what her 2007 tax return looks like. I don't think she can deduct attorney fees ... Hmmm - maybe John should request a copy of the return.
That is so sweet about your husband reading up on the forum.

To read up on what exactly it is that Heidi has to produce, you can look on the court's website at the Motion to Compel filed by John. That's the motion that was ruled on today. I never read the whole thing, but intended to. Life got in the way. It's 75 pages long, and I have it saved on my computer. It was filed in December.

I called the Queen Bee up to check on her and she left me a return message. She sounds very congested and sick. Add two sick boys to the mix and she's taking a much-needed rest.

She says not to worry and that she'll be back soon!

Her family keeps passing that cold from one to the other---they have all been sick for weeks now---sitting up all night with a sick child has her own resistance down---bless her heart

Dee after seeing everyone talk about your sig line I had to check it out---bless your heart---I worked 4 years in a rehab facility with TBI patients ----so I can empathize with the struggles you've had---keep on pushing on---

Clarification on something I posted earlier:

The sanctions that were denied in today's ruling were not the sanctions I was thinking of. In the motion to compel, John asked for monetary sanctions against Heidi and her attorney. That request was denied, but she's been ordered to produce a boatload of papers. This was a BIG ruling in our favor.

Christin,

Good to hear that you are recovering well..... We still need to try and get together for lunch soon....

My sister is dealing with some memory issues after having some severe infections (including a fungal blood infection) this past summer which resulted in some brain damage.... She is also dealing with vestibular issues.....

Something that has really helped her has been the Wii..... She has a game called Brain Age Academy (also available for the ds system).... It helps with the memory and also tracking... Even her therapists are looking at purchasing one for the hospital, because they see how much it has helped her during her rehab.....
