Roasted the Old-Fashioned Way:

Even though New Mexico Piņon Coffee Company has won several awards and is now world-famous, they still roast coffee beans the old-fashioned way: by hand, in small batches. Of course only the finest medium-roast Arabica beans are allowed into the old, 1890's Royal #5 roasting machine.

The Royal #5 works with a maximum of just 25 lbs. of coffee beans at a time. The ancient machine has no gauges or thermometers, so the operator must constantly monitor the sights and smells of the beans as they roast.

Late in the process, when the roasting beans have just the right smell, ground piņon nuts are added and allowed to fully saturate the roast with nutty flavor. The result is the easy-drinking coffee that is truly unique to New Mexico!"

I also got to try a Sumatran coffee when I went to New Mexico a couple of weeks back. My gf picked it up at Trader Joe's. It was whole bean and she ground it at the store. I found someone who wrote a review on it and I agree with her...except about not making it an every day coffee. I could drink it every day...no problem! LOL

Very cool! Thanks for posting that. I'll have to try it.

Yeah, This Time! I gotcha!

As for coffee and wine snobs - neither of which I happen to be - I think I told ya'll I took a bottle of sangria on my camping trip last weekend. Well, it was Livingstone, kind of middle of the road stuff, my SIL took one sip and frowned and said it was too bitter for her and proceeded to mix hers with some diet Mt.Dew. My brothers and I just howled! She had tried some sangria somewhere recently and talked about how good it was. Must've been Arbor Mist or something.

She'd die if she ever tried to drink some of my beloved merlot!

Wow, you read my mind about Jeanessa. I was working in the yard today and started thinking about her and her mother. I'm with you. I hope everything is ok with Jeanessa.

Let's see....I missed another question....But I did send the invite to my personal email.....and thank you to those who took me up on it.

As far as which program I do. I have always done straight KK. I have never done KE or bootcamp (although my diet sometimes is closer to KE than KK and I always get more than 30 minutes of cardio a day). Yes, I believe that I follow the program as written. Although I don't really journal my food, because I couldn't get in the habit.

As far as my "quote" about my time on homepage being a blip. When I said "long enough to expose a mole", it was a "realization" that the mole brought me to this website AFTER I was on the homepage. My purpose of being on the HOMEPAGE was not to "expose" a mole...although I'm guessing if someone really wanted to figure it out....they could....I don't know. Never was really inclined to think it through that far. I didn't even know about this thread until I googled my screen name myself to see where my screen name popped up. It all started when someone linked AMYB's blog into chat one night. That's how I came out of my home site to begin with. So, no, I didn't see this out here until after I was on the HOMEPAGE...but then again, I guess I wouldn't have, because DEEDLYNN would not have come up in this thread until after I was on the homepage. No, I'm not accusing anyone of "twisting" my words....I am clarifying that my "purpose" of being on HOMEPAGE was not to catch a mole.

Mayberry....not sure if your a "hater" or not. To me, it feels like most everyone is a hater out here. Some have sincerely asked me questions. They brought them to my email. I responded in email, knowing that my response was subject to being cut & paste. I have nothing to hide. f

I understand that no one here agrees with me...I'm fine with that. It's the potrayal of me...that is wrong.

Dee

So, best wishes to Dee. I truly hope she sees the light before it's too late. Guess THAT makes me a hater, huh?

Well, they shrunk a size when I lost 40 lbs (eating lots of yummy fat like yogurt, cream and coconut milk) so I don't trip on them as much as I used to

Some hit ignore...some keep asking me questions. Not sure what is expected. Answer questions, or don't answer questions and get "called out" for not answering questions. LOL.

Then wonder why I say the stage is set for a no "win/win" situation. Guess I'll keep answering questions so that no one can say I'm not answering questions. LOL.

Wonder why the ones with questions keep posting them here instead of email to me. That way the "frequency" won't get messed up. No static. Or could always PODCAST.
