Lauren,

It's the big things like this that should make us realize that sometimes what we think are mountains in our own lives are really just anthills. And in the big scheme of things, our anthills really don't matter.

I'm keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Jo

For those who enjoy my little missives on The Magic Chicken Diet, never fear! I have some stuff up my sleeve that's guaranteed to make someone think twice before paying Bonnie Luper $70 to starve themselves silly.

Yanno, I JUST had a thought. Someone started a "Kimkins diet free" blog site. I have all the info for the Magic Chicken Diet in screenshots. Whats to stop me from starting a "Free Magic Chicken Diet" site? Of course, with the proper warnings all over it.
We may be on opposite ends of the political spectrum in most everything

but I do support our troops

that part of my conservative upbringing remains fully intact!!

I have been truly blessed to not have a close friend or family member serving in Iraq. My nephew was slated to go and just days before he was to ship out he orders were changed---our family sure did rejoice over that

my heart goes out to everyone who has a friend or family member serving ANYWHERE in our military

Ditto what BamaGal said. I have several friends who have family members in the service and it breaks my heart watching them say goodbye to them with each tour and every day that they wait for a phone call or an email from them.

Our precious freedom is because of them and their service and the families that love them.

Wow! You guys are making me feel so wonderful today! I got that information in an email thats going around and checked it out. I'm so happy that it's touched so many of you. I pray for all of our people over there constantly and am thankful that people are willing to serve our country. By posting such things, I am just trying to do a small part to support their tremendous efforts. I'm honored to do so.

When I think about people like my good friend who just returned to Iraq today to work as a civilian contractor (did a National Guard tour last year with the 128th MP Co.) and all of the fine young men and women who are serving our nation now, it makes me want to see that cheaters, liars and freeloaders like Heidi get what's coming to them even more. Not everyone can serve in the military or be a police officer, etc. But, we CAN each do something for the common good.

To all our wonderful military members, family and freinds!

That was great to read~I wish we'd get that info from the news~ it might give some hope and good feelings to the families back home that don't hear anything but death and how how the Iraqi hate us.

going out to everyone that needs them today~

Who wants to have some fun????

Okay. Another LCF'er and I have been trading barbs with some nut over at Yucky's blog today on a old post about humor in this thread. I won't "out" my friend, she can do that if she wants to. Anyway, another LCF'er alerted me to the comments. Thanks for that, btw!

Here's the link in case you feel like a little "light" reading!

Well "Gary", for the exception of the few carefully placed "Kimkins" references and changing using the phrases regarding "raw foods" to "protein shakes" you lifted it off of a site that has this policy:

I wouldn't dare repost your post myself. I don't have the money to pay damages. Judging from how many times you've done this, I hope you have lots saved up.
Jo please send that quote from KK and the original URL to John Tiedt. Thanks!!

It's true - all the media tells you about is how bad things are. They don't tell you about what the military has accomplished.
