Yeah, I remember romper room - used to watch it all the time when I was a kid (which gives you some idea just how old I am!)

Yep, she has but "claims" that due to the writ of attachment and all her monies being frozen that she has no money to even get her son a bed!

His name was Mr. Moose. I also loved Bunny Rabbit - the puppet with the carrots.

Yep, I was a Romper Room and Captain Kangaroo girl, too. In my neck of the woods, we also had Ranger Hal.

The state of Kimkins today

This is really sad. I deleted the key words as to who this is because you would "know" her: although after doing a little research on her, she really doesn't deserve my kindness as she is apparently not as "nice" as she seems.

This is what happens when your diet guru that you so love and look up to doesn't have an ongoing plan or a maintenance plan and you end up thinking you will never eat carbs ever again. Even the right ones.

When Heidi has screwed up lives and messed up heads with her greed and careless disregard for fellow humans.

When you start to realize that there is no follow up and a once guaranteed (but not anymore) lifetime membership doesn't mean a d@mn thing. When your diet guru doesn't show up to post for days at a time. And when she does she posts a load of self serving santimonius horse hockey on her blog about maintenance.

When your #2 Admin finally shows up and makes 6 or 7 posts to newbies with lots of glitter fairies and roses to "welcome" them but offers no help or advice.

When your #3 Admin does nothing but post after post of "yeah keep up the good work' or "Wow" and still won't post a supposed 106 lbs lost photo.

When the only help available is another member who is struggling too. When posts that literally beg for help go unanswered for days.

"OKay Im bummed today, no weight loss (deleted)...........I know it would have been a few pounds but I was bad on Friday. I wont go into details, but I was weak and human. Now Im paying for it! Why do we do these things? Im not looking forward to having the headaches next week and getting back into ketosis. Wy does one cheat hurt so bad?? I need to remind myself of this the next time I decide to be weak and fall into a carb whole. Thank goodness I didnt go all weekend. Im so cranky right now too because of feeling guilty about it and the carb withdrawel."

"Okay Im still having a lot of guilt and this is ridiculous already! Ive been back on track now two days and you would think I would get over it, huh? I will certainly think twice again before cheating. Did I say it was worth it? Not sure yet. Something so small really worries me because how will I ever be able to maintain? I am freaking out a bit , I just enjoy food so much that I cant imagine never ever being able to have carbs again. I will have to work on a plan because I enjoyed eating on Friday, Yes I said It, I ENJOYED the food. It was so damn good."

"It was kinda planned cheat if there is one. SO knowing that I even feel worse that I planned it. I wanted to wait until after my last docs appt so I didn't have to weigh in. Smart huh? SO then I did it.........I hate this guilt feeling."

"It is making me annalize how much I am addicted to carbs and how I will never be able to handle eating them later on. I thought about the food in my fridge and pantry all day yesterday, almost convincing myself to cheat some more!!!!! Sick, I know. Its just me and my relationship with food."

"I wanted to fess up because even though (deleted) and everyone thinks it happened so easy for me, I want people to know that its not been easy for me, and I struggle with my food addiction every day. I am human and I have cheated. And I will probably have more cheats. I cant predict my eating habits, but I can try to control them."

Wow Jo, she sounds like someone that used to post in my challenge group. So self-berating...I wish they would come over here and get the help I did. I am doing so well and don't fear eating even small amounts of carbs anymore. Isn't there someone that has access to help these people? I know, I read AmyB's blog....but if they heard it from one of us maybe it would make a difference?

What's so sad about this is that she has lost an incredible amount of weight but she is doing mostly (I think) K/E and getting lots of encouragement for doing it. She has some major medical issues also.

She is definitely high on the euphoria of losing weight so fast and the attention from looking good. I don't think she will be able to grasp the concept of vegetables and that they didn't make her that way in the first place and "good carbs". She's either going to regain it all, make herself incredibly ill or worse. But as I said she is very defensive and actually not very nice at this point and I don't think would take any advice from anyone.

The stuff Jo has posted today just further proves how sick and twisted Heidi truly is. I think she gets off on the mind-control (I'd really like to use another term her, but I don't want to offend! ) she has over people. Sick, sick, sick.

Anyone who did KK for a while can understand how this person feels. I broke away 7 months ago and still find myself at points thinking..oh 5 almonds...ooo wish I hadn't eaten that! Or, why eat real eggs when I enjoy the fat free ones? Or, do I really need cream in my coffee? Then I shake my head, give myself a mental kick in the boohonkus and proceed.

I'm NOT letting Heidi win. No way. No how. NEVER!

I agree Mayberryfan,
I keep telling myself....the cream in my coffee is okay and ten almonds are on my plan. The whole thing is that we know and still think about it. I don't have an ED, but I could sure see how it can become one.

I'm not saying this is right at all; in fact I don't like that I even thought this.
But, the first thing I thought of when I saw this KK post was "gee all of this would be so great if Heidi herself only looked like the gal in the red dress." Because at times, I have found myself slipping farther and farther into that abyss too.

But then I thought about that smirking, simpering depo video where she tried to make it seem that it was okay because people are losing weight, no matter what the cost or consequences, it just made my blood boil.

That's what did it for me, too.
I started reading DANDR and thought I had, had a handle on lowcarb before. The whole KK ideology had me fooled.
I went to research lowcarb and found that this was not induction, but starvation. Now, I have a 2 inch binder full of studies supporting lowcarb nutrition, done the correct way.
But I truly thought she was the lady in the lawnchair and had lost weight with lowcarb.
Man, I hate to think what would have happened if the Ducks hadn't looked into this.

Could someone go post the link to the new video over at the playground? I don't know how to post links or I would. There are a lot of people over there that would be really interested to see the new video. If you get the chance... I would appreciate it. Thanks!

She has also posted about belonging to other boards that were busier and sounded like she preferred that.
She has said that she asked for a refund, but posts after that using the word "freeloaders" make me think B&D smoothed things over.

Drakette sends a message from the Kimpouns

Maintenance Plan

From the Kimpound this morning:

the Kimmer writes:

I wrote a blurb for the blog about Kimkins & Maintenance. People wonder why there isn't a formal Kimkins maintenance plan. The simple reason is that just as Kimkins is practically the definition of "simplicity", so I want the maintenance phase to be equally simple and workable. The even simpler reason is that Kimmer's never lost weight and doesn't want to be bothered helping those who have maintain.Of course anyone can switch to another diet's maintenance plan. Actually, all diet maintenance plans are essentially the same: the balance of carbs & calories. As we add more carbs back, calories become more important. You cannot increase both indefinitely. Kimmer is living proof that this is true!

I'll be adding the super simple Kimkins maintenance plan very soon. It's very simple. Since you starved off your weight doing Kimkins, along with your most of your hair, you can look forward to eating basically the same foods allowed on Kimkins, but you may raise your calories to 1000-1100. Oh, and you may have one cracker per week. Just as everyone has different foods they can't wait to add back, we need a way to make sure we don't upset the apple cart. I'll also need volunteers to give feedback (actually, I guess everyone's a volunteer!) Hey, would one of you synchophant's out there do this work for me so I don't have to be bothered? It's cutting into my Cap'n time!

Some people (who shall remain nameless ) will be disappointed in the simplicity. Some people are disappointed in Kimkins' simplicity. Why on earth do people want complicated diets? See how nice I am? I know if you're still buying my lies after all the proof that's out there, you'll buy anything. P.T. Barnum is my hero!

I had an email from a lady who was interested in Kimkins. She told me there's no way she can give up starches. I told her I understood and that Kimkins wasn't for her.I actually suspect she's one of those damn ducks trying to sneak in here and I don't want to deal with that! Gave her a link to Weight Watchers. Her reply? She'd done WW and found it to be a full time job with the tracking, counting, looking up foods. She decided to join Kimkins anyway and is down 24 pounds in 2 months. Sure wish she'd tell me how she did that! She had to skip the starches for now, but she tells me she doesn't give her "diet" a second thought all day. Protein & veggies is automatic for her now. Ahhh. That feels good. I just love having complete control over someone's mind. I can't wait until her hair falls out. It's time that everyone realizes bald is beautiful. After all, it made me a MILF!

Be good, stay strong, let's do this!!!

Keep it up Heidi. I can't wait until you're talking smack behind bars. It's no wonder you give people disordered thinking about food. Everytime I read something you've written, I really want to barf.

Gary, we are so disappointed in you

well, well, well, some things never change

a KK member needed help today and posted a "help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" plea

"Gary" posted a very long post that he started out with:

"Here is something I posted a while back that may help" and used no credits for a source.

Well "Gary", for the exception of the few carefully placed "Kimkins" references and changing using the phrases regarding "raw foods" to "protein shakes" you lifted it off of a site that has this policy:
