I will add that I got banned from Kimkins for nothing at all. There were no PM , e-mails, post to Kimmer..Nothing. In fact It was a boring post day. I wish a few people to have a blessed Sunday and asked about steak.
There is some reason Heidi banned me that day , that fast, for no reason. Something changed.
I just have a GUT feeling the MCD was / is a fall back diet group. I also know Bonnie hinted for me to put pics up with my stats and then in the blink of a eye..she had a fit about my pics going on there. Just as a reminder...I ONLY said I was going to put my pics there in a e-mail to Bonnie...to get her to answer me.
I also could swear the switch nice to nasty Bonnie e-mails were so Heidi like ...I would swear Heidi wrote them.
OK I am done.

So this can be viewed a few different ways and all of them add up to deceptive business practices.
It could be that MCD doesn't have that many members and that Bonnie has been deceptive in her statements and charging of members. I say this based on the fact that it was stated that the first 200 members were free. So one scenario is she really doesn't have 200 plus members, but only a handful, so the lack of activity is coming from the low numbers.

There is another board that is in operation that only certain members have access, which to me would not be fair to the other paying members. I know that is not your situation Amy and many others, but it is the situation of some members who did pay.

They were all sock puppets before except for a handful of real members. This could be done to appear to be more successful than she really was with the site or done to just keep the website going as a front for more.

Just some options and I say this without knowing for sure. When Bonnie has been asked where is everyone she has said that some people may not be that familiar with forums. Sounds like the "I'm Shy" excuse of Kimmer. Bonnie has also acted as if there is nothing wrong at all with only the few posts and members that have been around -after- the "update".

Maybe that was precisely why. Amyb has said she was not clear as to why Kimmer banned her. Then it could be that she was banned and given a membership to MCD in hopes that AmyB would become active at MCD, thus drawing members from the floundering Kimkins site. This would allow for a smooth transition to the MCD site, since AmyB was a very supportive member at KK, without it appearing so obvious. Just one way to get everyone united is to be the bad guy. Coaches do it to unite a team.
But it didn't work out that way.

You may be on to something there HB---AmyB was well liked and well respected by the members at KK. Banning her and then her having a free membership to MCD seems like the perfect marketing ploy. Heidi can't make jack squat off the current members. So AmyB gets banned and moves to MCD--maybe taking lost and upset KK members with her where they would have to pay for new memberships. Transition to the new site as you said with some extra money to boot.

Heidi was pretty sure I couuld have people follow me to her new fall back group. She told me in PM that she had one set up and if it happened she would need certain members to help get things moving there.
The thing is...I still think MCD is Heidi'....

Lou, I agree with you that if someone wanted to take the time to actually sit and write such a recap that it would be hugely helpful. However, I haven't seen any volunteers jumping up and down to take on that task

And it would have to be updated periodically. Actually a monumental task in and of itself.

Wouldn't it be cool if there was CLIFF note software somewhere and you could send an entire block of work to it and get it to spit out a synopsis

I think people can get the gist of what has transpired by reading a few of the select blogs and by skimming the FWK threads.

Again, time is time. If you can take the time to sit and post, you can speed read several pages in that same amount of time.

One final point. Have you noticed that most of our fly-by or newbies that cause such a ruckus from time to time, are rarely adding anything of value to the actual discussion of how to stop Hidey Diaz from her nefarious deeds?

Anyone who does come in and starts off on the right foot, (and I can think of a few, such as MrsMenopause, Nady, Mrs Steve and others) who came in, looked around, gave a friendly How De Do and made themselves at home, reading and catching up as they had time. Not demanding to be brought up to speed because "they don't have time" and asking a hundred questions that have been asked a hundred other times in the same tenor.

Sorry, but IMO, if you're that interested you will make time.

Having said that, if you, Little Miss, want to start over again on a less challenging note, we might give ya the benefit of the doubt. The ducks can be quite forgiving folks when we want to be

You're not a sucker - she's very manipulative and practiced at getting people to believe her.

I think you're right about Heidi being behind MCD. I think it's her backup site, and she gave you the membership to get you over there. But it was probably too soon for her to have your pictures to go up - she's probably trying to lay low over there for a while, and keep the place quiet until she's ready for it to actively be used as her backup site.

Gotta go over to MCD and look around a bit... I have a theory about something on there....

I forgot how good the link that Nady provided was. And I didn't think that it was updated, but it's completely up to date. I don't know if that's the author's doing or the Ducks. Either way, I was impressed. There was a really good summary on the 3 fat chicks website, but I don't know if that's been updated either (Gee, I suppose I could go look

) Maybe a link to that website (or any others that have the whole story) on the first page of each new thread? I just know that even after being gone for a week, the sheer volume of posts to get through is overwhelming. I can't imagine trying to get the whole story at once.

Remember that person who was here catching up and would pop in every now and then to tell us where she was in the story? How funny was that? I wonder if she ever got all the way through it.

Come to think of it, you guys better get some sort of story rights to this whole saga - I can see Heidi in her orange jumper typing the story out and claiming it as her own. No, scratch that. I can see Heidi talking her prison wife into writing it for her.

Can you not get to the newsletters because you are banned? Or am I not even looking at the right thing? This thing had the food portion chart and then what I thought was a dude behind an apple, but then I realized he was missing his junk and saw what looked like breasts behind the apple, so it was a girl? Anyway, and a recipe for meatloaf muffins that actually looks pretty decent. Am I looking at the right thing?

Laura(about.com) is real good about staying on top of the KK story and keeping it up to date.

The last time I checked the 3 Fat Chicks website it had not been updated with all the newest info.

I can totally see Heidi's jail house wife writing out this story

I'd really love to see some kind of frequently updated synopsis of the whole thing, but I can't figure out exactly how to accomplish such a thing myself. Well, assuming I had about a year to go through the threads and pull out the pertinent information and type it up, my problem would still be trying to figure out what format to put it in so that it could be updated regularly. Perhaps a blog that you can just post essentially the same post over and over, but with updates added on to it would work? I don't know - I'm thinking it would probably be better to have some kind of (relatively) static web page that could be updated, rather than doing this on a blog, but I haven't a clue how to go about creating such a thing.

I"m sorry, but I can't even imagine how many weeks it would take to skim the FWK threads, all 15 of them! That first one is some ridiculous multiple of thousands of posts long, and although every subsequent thread is much shorter, they're still at least 3000 posts long. Each. Pity the person on dial-up trying to catch up on these threads

Even reading a few pages to catch up - sometimes we go so off topic that you wouldn't get much from reading 5 or 10 pages. I always dread being away from a computer and my internet connection for more than 24 hours because getting caught up takes for-ev-er! Yes, you can read a page or two in the time it takes to type up a post, but I know it's been fairly recently that we had a couple pages which were nothing but joking around and sharing recipes,
