I just went over to see the new photo in it's "natural habitat", and yeah, she definitely looks bigger than her before photo, especially in the bustline.

How does that work? She loses 50 lbs and gains 2 cup sizes? The only way that works is if you've gained weight all over.

~~~~~~~
Anyhoo... I haven't been there for a while, but I clicked on the link to "Is Kimkins Right For Me?" and I know I have't looked around on there for a while so this may be very old news, but I was quite surprised to see that she has posted a 3 day sample menu on there:
Quote:
Do you have any sample menus?
Sure! Here are 3 typical days for the original Kimkins Diet. Members can personalize these suggestions according to your own preferences. Hate coffee? Drink something else. Never eat pork? Substitute another protein from the Kimkins list! Flexible and easy.
I never saw a more deceptive looking sample menu in my life.
I can see a ham steak being at least 6 oz, and not exactly a low fat/fat fee food. Scrambled eggs doesn't mention how many, that you're only using the whites, or that they're not cooked in butter. The spiced coffee doesn't mention that you'll be blasted for using a teaspoon of cream in it.
It doesn't mention what kind of dressing you're expected to use on the cobb salad or caesar salad (which by the way, real caesar salads are topped with lots of croutons, which are loaded with carbs), not to mention that she forgot to mention that you can only have a "finger grab" of salad, etc.
I'd never even heard of a Denver Omelet before, but google is your friend, so I came up with this Betty Crocker version containing 260 calories (180 from fat)- and that's supposed to be served with turkey bacon?!
What about the cheeseburger chowder for dinner on day 3? Cheese on KK? Since when?!
On what KK planet does any part of this menu actually work?!!
This isn't even a representative sample of a KK menu - it looks like entirely too much food, with far too much fat and carbs to qualify for KK's starvation standards.
I think that menu has been up for a while but I agree with you on it being very deceptive.
1. Everyone was (still is) told that your protein shake was your meal. It isn't to be used with a meal it is a meal replacement. So how could you have it w/the Caesar Salad?
2. I don't get the Cheeseburger Chowder either: beef, cheese, some kind of dairy and/or thickener for the chowder? And if it has veggies.. plus a salad?
3. Sodas and crystal light? The first thing that they start harping on if there is a stall is "Are you having too much artifical sweetener???" "That causes stalls"
I didn't know what a denver omelet was. In the northeast, we call that combination a Western Omelet. All the diners have it listed that way.
Bet Heidi's fave from that menu is the Tequila Lime Chicken!
Tell me, is it the tequila or the lime that makes it magic??
I need to go pray. First thing that came to mind when you mentioned the bumper sticker was Heidi. I feel bad. I don't want to be one of "the mean girls".
A bumper sticker comes to mind. I may be fat but I have hair. No ...I am not saying you are fat...
Come to think of it...I know you are not fat..silly..I have seen your pictures.
I agree. Her boobs look huge compared to her "before" picture. Close ups do NOT make Heidi look smaller. I'm surprised she's not pasting her cut out head on the body of a super model.
Hey.... I looked it up and here's what I found!
Yes, the chicken is delish & here's a tip!
To make it even more KK friendly, just hold it over a glass, imagine the Ducks and squeeze the dickens out of it!
Voila! Tequila lime flavored chicken broth, so refreshing and satisfying!
I'd skip the salt rimmed glass and the extra lime as that would make me stall!
Amy B, no mentioning "hair issues" to those without hair? The same reason you couldn't talk about your kids? Because she was never really a mother? I cannot even believe her kids even speak to her. I would have cut that loser loose.
I have had experience with Lying liars that lie. True sociopaths. I'm sure this person is reading this. These people turn my stomach. They think ONLY of themselves, and what you can do for THEM. Big LOSERS.
I'm sure there are more than just the three of us. Maybe because it is a holiday the boards are light. Let's see who else checks in.
PS - Thanks to Kimmer for checking in. You gave me a few kind but blunt reality checks when I first got started and your WOE has changed my life."
Kimmer:
"XXXX, sorry about being so "blunt". What I'm thinking isn't always what gets typed. I've been working hard to try and write the way I'm thinking. If I write sternly, I'm not thinking sternly. I have so much compassion for everyone in the obesity fight. Most of my working life, I've worked with technical people and editing their words (reports, memos, proposals). Incidentally, it's hard to edit stuff that you don't understand! Their language tends to be dry and concise which I adopted ... and now I'm working to get past it, LOL.
But, although I understand ... and I really do understand ... I figure I'm not doing anyone any favors if I don't speak up. But in the past year I've let things go. I've reviewed menus where people are using enough cheese to stock a store. Of course they're stalled. Of course they're constipated. But they're so proud of cutting back on junk and fast food, I don't have the heart to criticize.
Oops, excuse my personal therapy session."
I know you paid to have me help you out but.....
and
Member who is having a lot of trouble staying on plan:
"I have come to realize I need help battling this. I have asked my insurance company for an approval to weight loss center. I want to meet with their physician to see what kind of help I can get. They have a program that does not involve surgery but emotional support along with personal trainers. I would be able to meet with the physician weekly. I just can't do it alone. I am going to stay on this plan."
Kimmer:
"double HUG!!! There's nothing wrong with getting extra help or trying a different avenue. What does the physician do at the weight loss center? Is it diet pills or emotional eating therapy? I know it's been rough for you with family loss issues. Your mom. And kids that grow up and away, asserting their independence at a time when it might be nice if they needed us more ... not less.
Years ago I tried Weight Watchers. I learned many valuable behavior modification tips and I'm glad I went. Their food plan didn't work for me (I changed the starch exchanges for lean protein), but I'm not sorry I went. I lost quickly 58 pounds (doing my low carb version), and then my little brother died in a bizarre hospital accident. Emotional eating is my downfall."
I know you have problems, but let me tell you about mine. They are lots worse than yours! IIIIIIIIIIIIImemememememe
Is that her dead little brother who's name she used in her scam? Why was I thinking that little brother died as an infant? Would she be talking THAT many years ago?
How many socks..errr I mean siblings does she have any way?
I know she said she has a sister. And a brother who works on cars & said she was a MILF etc. and the one who died in the horrible accident.
Also I wonder about the 58 pounds she said she on lost on WW @ KK today because on Sept 24, 2004 she posted here @ LCF:
"I gradually regained the weight because I was eating more carbs (not candy & chips, but potatoes, pastries, coffee w/ sugar & cream). A coworker was doing Weight Watchers and it looked fun (and organized!) so I tried it. The carbs were too high and I was only losing 1-2 pounds a week. Compared to how I lost previously on low/no carb, this was WAY too slow! I was also hungry constantly because of the high carbs. So, I changed the "exchanges" from bread and fruit to protein and began losing 5-6 pounds a week. I wasn't able to finish all the "exchanges" because of ketosis/loss of appetite. I lost 88 pounds and quit meetings because I felt like a hypocrite when the leader would ask me to share with the group how I lost so much each week.
I gradually regained the weight over 2 years after my little brother died in a horrible hospital accident. I didn't "pig out" but I wasn't careful about choices. My priority wasn't on weight loss. Incidentally, my little brother was Type 1 diabetic. He was 6'1" and 135 pounds, a virtual skeleton. He often refused to inject his insulin, ate like a horse, lost vast amounts of body fat. This is what absolutely convinced me of low carbing. In the absence of insulin (what we try to accomplish by restricting carbs), the body will not hold onto body fat."
I don't post here very often, and I try to keep up, but it's not easy... I was also wondering about the lack of changes in her photos with her supposed 50+ weight loss... and was wondering.. wasn't she at court last week? did anyone see her there? and how did she look in person? I know photos can be decieiving.. and so can she.. but someone who saw her in person would be able to tell...
I doubt she showed, if there was any way for her to weasle her way out. Her attorney might have been there, but maybe she didn't???
almost ruined a good keyboard
Doing some research using google
and this came up and of course I had to click on
"Kimkins Low Crab Diet".... I am not kidding
So that's the plan behind the plan!
"Low Crabs"
What? You itch so much that you can't eat?
Why pay Heidi $79.95?
You could pick that up for free at a bus station.
No she wouldn't have to appear for something like that. The only time she had to actually be anywhere was for her deposition.
Forgive me if you had this somewhere else - but where is the clouds recipe?
I have butter, and got 2 fresh cans of pumpkin (date on the old one was undetermined, but could have gone back 15 years)
What is evco? I know evoo
I saw someone/somewhere a recipe with pumpkin, heavy cream, cream cheese and I can't find it for the life of me. No jello in it. PMS is making me crave something sweet.
