AmyB, it looks like the last update was your post about Singinlass on March 22. Hope that helps.

Okay...Thank You., I am not a great blog person. Bama Girl is going to block my e-mails before too much longer. She repeats the same answers to my same questions. I am working on getting a picture up on it. Not going so well.

Speaking of questions..I may have some for you this week I am making some of your yummy recipes.

Kimmer: XXXXXX, easing into any plan is perfect. Being 100% isn't what's important, but learning healthy new food choices is. Our changes have to be for life or we'll never get off the yo-yo. Everyone has to find what works for them (sometimes that's taking the best from several plans & adding a personal twist).

I thought if you twisted or tweaked it wasn't Kimkins??????

Member: My question is this: Now that I am SO close to 100 pounds down I find that I am getting a little relaxed in my choices. Always under 20 carbs, but more fat, etc. Skipping a day of exercise, etc. I have been derailed by a surgery in January that has slowed me down a little.
I know I am not the only one finding myself in the need of refocusing after tremendous success. I was wondering if anyone had tips on how they "stayed the course" before getting to maintenance.

Kimmer: XXXXXX, what an important post! You hit the nail on the head. The closer to the finish line, the more inclined some of us are to get lax. You're looking great, feeling better and ... well, we get lazy. A bit of this, a taste of that. "Just one" thinking.

More of that "WE" and "US".

One more cookie, one more date w/ El Capitan.
This CAN'T be Hidey posting. I know! She's used so many sock puppets that now she's a sock puppet herself! And for someone MUCH NICER too.

Seriously, this sentence makes me want to hurl. Doesn't anyone there see the irony in that statement? Heidi took the best from Atkins, South Beach, Stillman's....you name it....she repackaged it and called it Kimkins. Her personal twist is charging people $80 for her plan. Except for one thing. It didn't work for her. Obviously. Look at her. I doubt that any diet has ever worked for her. Knowing that she is an obese liar who clearly never learned or followed a healthy WOE, how can anyone listen to what this woman has to say on the subject of dieting? It boggles my mind.

I hope Amy B won't mind the plug, but she gave a wonderful interview to Jimmy Moore, which gives a lot of insight into why some people still stay there, even knowing what they do.

I believe will be going up Monday. I was asked to do a written transcript of it for those who are on slower connections or otherwise can't listen to the podcast, so I got to hear it a little early. So I could, you know, type it out . I assume he'll post it on Monday too.

Amy did a great job in explaining her history with Kimkins, and the last few minutes of the interview are the most poignant and really made me understand why so many people stay there, even when they know what a liar and a fraud Heidi is.

What I love best about this -- I could find about a thousand examples from this site alone where Heidi says the exact opposite of all of this.

It's funny to watch stupid people try and shovel their way out of trouble like this.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm really interested in hearing that. I can understand why people would stay at the Kimpound, but, like I said, I just don't get why anyone would pay for her advice now. When I picture her waddling to the post office, sticking her pudgy paws into the mail slot and pulling out a handful of checks, it makes me crazy.

So, you google diets and you come across Kimkins. Despite the bazillion fraud warnings and negative press, you decide to read what the site has to say. Hmmmm...you see that one of the benefits is direct access to the founder, Kimmer. Who's Kimmer, you ask? You go back to the home page. Oh, look! That's Kimmer. The 261 pound woman with the smirk on her face and the neck of a gazelle.

This is the part I don't get.

You see that she's morbidly obese. Yes, she's lost some weight but she's nowhere near what she should weigh. You send Kimmer a check for $79.95 because.........?????????????????????????????????? ????????????????

I've got oopsie rolls in the oven. We will see how it goes.

I went to the store yesterday, and the philly creamcheese was on sale, 4 for $5.

So I was thinking about some other cream cheese stuff, and I wanted to do the pumpkin one. We found a can of pumpkin in the cupboard, but I don't have a clue how long it has been there. There are some brown spots on the top.

The only clues I have it that it cost $1.19, and it is comstock. Should I be afraid???

Hey MissMerize,

I make the Clouds recipe with cream cheese, EVCO instead of butter, splenda and either french vanilla flavoring or the Butternut-vanilla flavoring (which smells like yellow cake mix - yum! ) whip it together with a mixer and then divide it between 12 mini muffin tins and freeze. OMG is it delish! Like mini cheese cakes! I have also made it once and added a couple of scoops of whey powder to the mix. It was good this way too. Just melt the EVCO and be sure to use an electric mixer to whip it together.

Looks like I just had my first catastrophy. The buzzer went off, and I looked in the oven and it wasn't pretty.

I had cooked some buffalo wings before the oopsies, and some how the oven was on 300 but the "bake" button got turned off. I've got pancakes, and they were giggling in the middle.

So I just turned the bake on, and they should be really cooking this time. I had made a double batch too as I won't have use of the kitchen after tomorrow (future MIL gets too helpful when I'm trying to cook, and freaks out over the fat)

At least the wings are looking good. I got some hot sauce and bleu cheese

I'm debating making another batch of the rolls now, as I can smell them this time (smells yummy)

I really need to try these rolls~ besides the fact that I need to get back on track, I have 18 beautiful unboiled, undyed eggs in my fridge~(just in case, you know ) now I need to make something (legally) wonderful out of them~

In case anyone needs the recipe~ oopsie rolls - Google Search someone is famous!!

Lou

AND she has absolutely no proof that she ever lost weight at anytime ever. I know I have photos of myself at my heaviest and even more photos now. And I'm not trying to prove anything to sell a weight loss program.

She has no degree or certification in any diet or health related field yet she spews forth bits of advise like she does.

She says has people with success "stories" but even then it's nothing longer than about 6-9 months. Those aren't even documented with photos anywhere except a few on their siggies. And why should we believe them? Or anyone that won't post their success photos, eh Gary?

There is no maintenance plan. Even if there was, how could you even think it would work looking at her?

The diet guru who can't stick with her own plan! She was back up 2 pounds just this week.

Some of us got conned by the slick marketing before the truth came out.

You just have to wonder what someone could be thinking now to look at that home page and still fork over their hard earned money to her.

well Nady, my other half who is not on a diet just tried a piece and he said "Wow, that tastes just like bread" and continued to hold his mouth open for more. I was able to salvage a good portion. I have a variety of sizes to experiment with

Thanks for the review~ so often we LCers 'settle' for something less than wonderful just because it's better than nothing (LC tortillas come to mind) but when a non-dieter likes it~ well, I gotta get baking!
