I don't know about all this stuff, but doesn't that mean she gets top showings on Google also??

Her top ranking on Google is because of all the links pointing to her site. The ad does not affect her "organic" results.

No, Adsense is separate from that. To the best of my knowledge, the algorithm for Google's search engine takes searching and keywords and clicks and links to pages into account when determining page rank and all that. Adsense is purely commercial, and as far as I know, clicking on the ads won't improve her page rank. I could be wrong, however.

You'll notice that if you search for Kimkins on Google, the Kimkins homepage comes up first. BUT, thanks to the assiduous work of many, many ducks, the next result says:

Is it a Fraud? Kimkins Diet Review
Please note, DietsInReview.com does not recommend the Kimkins diet program.
Is it a Fraud? Kimkins Diet Review - 129k - Cached - Similar pages - Note this

... and that most of the hits that come after that discuss the fraud. This is because of the weed-pulling and because so many of us are associating the word "kimkins" with one of the sites that discuss the fraud. Every time I put the word "kimkins" on my blog, I link it to the lawsuit page. A lot of other bloggers do the same thing, perhaps with a different site, but the same general idea.

This is huge, because just a few months ago, searching for "kimkins" brought up her site first and a bunch of pro-kimkins sites. Not so any more!

Thanks! I'm not familiar with all the marketiing stuff, versus the google listings, etc. It's a total mystery to me. But I need to become familiar with it, since my company is pushing big time on internet sites for our products.

One of the reasons we wanted to delete all the articles:

Affiliate xyz writes an article, and in the article they have a link to their site.

Their site talks more about the product, and then uses a direct affiliate link to KK. affiliate xyz may also have some clickable banners planted on their site, which point to KK.

If the end result on most searches points to the KK site, then KK becomes the "authority site."

By removing articles, we are not only stopping the spread of KK to people who may stumble on it, we are also breaking down possible backlinks, which support the site.

Thanks Miss Merize. I must say your avator is a little disconcerting. Maybe it's because I haven't had enough Martinis? OK, I guess I've been slacking off. I'll try and get 2 or 3 under my belt tonight. No wonder I haven't been losing lately! If you tweak it, it AINT the M&M diet! Am I right?

Happy Easter everyone! Nady...don't go..I get ignored a lot and I'm still here. Just too many posting at once and things get missed. Not a big deal. We are ALL ducks in whatever way...just being here supporting or whatever...we love you all. We will take any support in any way we can get it.

Got the Grandkids this week so may not be on much but I'll try to keep up so I won't have 50 pages to read by next week, lol. Good job all. We ALL are making a difference in the take down of Kimmer!!

I am "Mesmerized" by the ducks, and all that has been accomplished.

It is a little freaky. I'll see if I can't drum up something else.

All this discussion of ducks and chickens makes me think of "Friends" when Joey and Chandler got the duck and the chick.

Do ya suppose that's where Heidi and Bonnie got the idea to team up?

Dang those reruns on TBS!!

BarbaraB...

Thank you SO much for this quote:

"No one could make a greater mistake
than he who did nothing
because he could do only a little."
(Edmund Burke)

If we all "do only a little", imagine the progress if you look at all those "little" efforts combined.

If we each hadn't done our little part along the way, we wouldn't be nearly this close to achieving our goal.

Please don't ever think "Oh, I can't do much, so why should I bother?" Where would we be if Jeanessa had said that? If Paula Jayne and so many others had said that?

Even if you aren't the one who found the red dress Kimmer; each of us here still can make contributions. So what if you aren't an anti-kk blogger; each post here has furthered the thread, hasn't it? So you don't consider yourself a "duck"; by being here, reading and posting, you are supporting the ducks. Each time you give someone an "atta girl" or encourage someone when they have shared something they found with the list; you are helping to ensure that such searches continue. So what if you can only pull one little "weed"; just imagine how many other "weeds" that small act has prevented from popping up elsewhere? Even if you only write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper, or send an email with a few links to your local news station; stand back and look at the ripple effect you are creating. KTLA started it, FOX followed up on it, GMA joined in, and I don't believe we've seen the end of it yet.

Every "little" thing done along the way has contributed to where we are today.

So, if you look at that list that John sent out, maybe you don't have everything on it, but maybe you have one "little" piece of the puzzle. Send it to John. Don't think someone else is going to send it. YOU send it. Did you write an email to Kimkins to complain about being banned? or to express your concerns about your hair falling out? If so, send it to John. Did you save a comment Heidi made about laxatives? Send it to John.

We can help John put this puzzle together, one "little" piece at a time. If something doesn't "feel" or "look" right to you, speak out. Post it here. If Paula Jayne hadn't done that 15 threads ago, what would we be reading today?

I can't take Kimkins down by myself, and neither can you. I can only do a little; but combined with the little that you can do, and the little that each of us can do; TOGETHER we can make a difference in this fight.

Remember that even if it is only a "little"; it is still a much needed part of the big picture. Don't discount your part in all this. Don't be discouraged because you can "only do a little". Every little bit helps! Every little bit is appreciated, even if no one comes out directly to offer you a pat on the back for what you've done; even if what you did wasn't something you shared with the list here; even if no one may have seen you do it; we still appreciate your efforts. Thank you for being a part of the team!

Thank you to EVERYONE who has not been afraid to "only do a little".

Happy Easter, Everyone!

You rock! Thank you for repeating Edmund Burke's words. I truly believe them, because when I first started reading from Thread 1, I felt inadequate, not part of the whole, not contributing as much as others. THEN! Hello!, I realized that this had to be BUILT ON - you do something, you do something else, and you BUILD upon it! Eventually, you have a history of things you have accomplished! Hey! Everybody! THAT is how you do it! Take one step at a time - do one good thing, then add another, and another! Shoot, pretty soon you have so many things you have accomplished, it is really amazing! HaH! It is just like my quitting smoking! Here I am at 33 freaking days! I smoked for 49 years! I don't even comprehend how I did this - well, yes, I do. I did it with Chantix and with njquit.com - (otherwise known as the "Q"). The point is, I never thought I could do it. But WE can all do it together!

Heidi - YOU ARE GOING DOWN, GIRL!

The thing that INFURIATES me, is that she sounds so reasonable, so experienced, so knowledgeable. No wonder she is able to scam so many. An honorable, decent person does not have a SH*T detector that huge. So how could you all have discerned what a scam artist she was? You couldn't! Can you see that? There was no way you could see through her, if you are an honest person who believes in the face value of others. She has been scamming for years. If you just listen to her voice on Jimmy's interview, you would follow her *anywhere*. Even when I KNEW she was lying at that interview, it was like being wooed by the sirens. She is an artist at scamming. So ALL of you who have bad feelings about being scammed and thinking it is your fault, forget it! You may have been scammed, but you have been scammed by an ace! And the only way you would have been prepared was to have known what all the 15 threads here have revealed. So give yourselves a break. Don't feel bad. Just get MAD! Look at what AmyB is doing. The wonder of it is that EVEN those who got taken in and eventually get out can do WONDERS, just as AmyB is doing. (APPLAUD for you, AmyB). Yes, I understand it was really hard to get out. I haven't been there. But, for all of you who HAVE been there, we owe a great deal of thanks for your insight, your experience, your misery.
Words of wisdom that everyone who has kicked themselves for falling for her lies ought to take to heart!

BULLY- connect the dots

First time poster on this thread, have been reading this since its inception...

Have been helping a family member deal with a workplace bully, and so have been researching and found this information. Sounds to me like Hidey is a classic- very apropos:

Bullying refers to repeated, unreasonable actions of individuals (or a group) directed towards an individual or group, which is intended to intimidate and create a risk to health and safety.

It is an act of repeated behavior in order to intentionally hurt another person, or gain power over another person. Behaviors may include name calling, verbal or written abuse, exclsions form activiities or social situations.

Those who bully have peronalities that are authoritarian, combined with a strong need to dominate. They may be deficit in social skills, and while envy and resentment may be motives for bullying, it can also be used as a tool to conceal and boost self confidence by demeaning others in order to feel empowered.

It often involves an abuse or misuse of power. Bullying includes behavior that intimidates, degrades, offends, or humilates, often in front of others. Bullying behavior creates feelings of defenselessness in the target and undermines an individual's right to dignity.

Bullying is different from aggression, aggression may involve a single act, bullying involves repeated attacks against the target, creating an ongoing pattern of behavior.

You can regain control by recognizing you are being bullied

Realize you are not the source of the problem

Recognize that bullying is about control and feelings of self esteem

Happy Easter amd Happy Spring to all, thanks for being here and showing the meaning of integrity and persistance.
