Some of you may be freaking out over that, but it was something I learned from a low carb meringue recipe.

some of you lighter weight folk may not realize it but to weigh what she was supposed to weight at the start she had to have special scales. makes you go um? I know my house scales didn't go as big as I was and I was happy they didn't so i didn't have to see it till the doc's office showed it.

Then maybe I need to share the dream where John is standing on the exit of the stage and says...Amy come with me...we can go on tour and I will take care of you forever. Then he comes to hug me and I said Oh John I can not...I Love my DH...darn it....No telling where that dream could of gone...opps..lol
So when I say I am a RHCP fan...oh I am. It is my myspace music and we will not mention the tattoo I love..lol
Yes I am a RHCP freak...and proud of it. There concerts are awesome. We saw them with foo fighter and snoop dog...and then the last one...

I've only made Oopsies Rolls a few times, but here's what works for me when doing any kind of egg-white stuff:

1.) Use a metal bowl. Plastic tends to retain grease/oil, which makes it hard to form the stiff peaks

2.) Chill everything, including the metal beaters (if you're using a hand-held beater) or if you're using a counter top mixer, chill the carafe thingie. Especially chill the bowl.

3.) I add all the dry ingredients to the whites -- I think Cleo's recipe just calls for the cream of tartar, but I add the salt and the Splenda too, as they stiffen the whites better.

4.) If they're flat, they're flat. They taste the same, and I think they work better for sandwiches. My first batches were nice and puffy, but I deliberately flattened my last batch so they'd be more flatbread-ish.
I'll have to go buy a metal bowl. I used glass. Thanks for the tips!

Poor Suzy351! She is trying desperately to keep up the forum at MCD, but she's pretty much alone out there. There is only 2 people there, from what I can see - Suzie and a new joiner. Bonnie is no where to be seen or heard! What kind of a diet site is that - especially since it's a paid membership! Bonnie, are you there, or what? Your members are looking for you. Geesh!

Her site should be booming. She actually has before and after pictures and a huge weight loss. She supposedly has real people for success stories. Real testamonials. She said she has real doctors who have supported her easy and healthy diet.

So if Heidi could do it and hit the jackpot with all the phony stuff surely Bonnie could with the real thing. She says on her MySpace that her income is $250,000.00. With that kind of capital, success and business savy to back her up she could flood the internet with ads. She could be all over the media, sharing her "secret". She even could hire an agency to do it for her.

So why isn't she going for it?

hmmmmm

I'm with Wacky...I think the MCD Forum site is a front for something else. Too bad I don't have Bonnie's $250,000 income, I'd join just to find out, lol.

Beats me. *Unless* she is just holding the site for someone else to come along and take it over later. Right now, though, she should be charging zip for what she is delivering - which is nothing!

That was the thought when it was first found, but by now I just think it's incompetence. Bonnie probably thought it was enough to make a flashy board and then customers would automatically arrive and a fortune could be made. There were some lame attempts at marketing early on (July, August) but nothing like the blitz Kimmer did even before hitting the WW jackpot.

Well, what makes me doubt what you've said is that Bonnie made a deliberate effort at NOT marketing. She took off the link on her candle site and has virtually done NOTHING at marketing since then. So, I'm asking, does she want to deliberately NOT draw people to the site at this time? That is what it looks like to me.

Good point. I was thinking that the anti-marketing on the mcd dot net site and the removal from the candle site were due to these sites being taken over by someone else, but that doesn't make sense either.

Why do things related to kimkins become so messy? Not being "normal"?

I think that's what I meant...why is the MCD not being touted as the next best thing since sliced (low carb) bread when all tools are so easily at hand?

It looks so poorly put together that it looks deliberate; does that make sense?

If she is such a savy business woman to be able to pull in a 1/4 million a year then somehow wouldn't you expect just a little more than "give me $59.95 and I'll tell you my secret" from her?

Exactly! Something is not quite right here. MCD is still up for investigation, as far as I am concerned.

I use glass bowls all the time when I make meringues. It's plastic bowls you have to avoid. Also, according to the information I have, the protein in the egg whites relaxes faster, giving you stiffer meringue, if they're at room temperature. Here is a link that was posted in Recipe Help and Suggestions:
