Suzy - that's for you sweetie! There are other places for support and much, much healthier diets.

Good luck to you!
That stinks. What is she getting for her money, the diet plan? That sounds like KK banned camp.

The support at KK was that it was really good at first, when the site got huge last summer. Heidi and the Admins posted all the time and it seemed like somebody was always answering questions. It was irritating though as you could tell Heidi had her "pets" and lapdogs who got all of her attention. Then as the "ca-ca" started to hit the fans and the principal people began to leave things really started to slack off. There was so much tension that it was not a happy place at all.

Lots of us that were left, as I'm sure you've seen from Amyb's posts, tried to prop each other up. As time went by the boards really became very slow and very uninformative. People began to really get very self absorbed. And the new crop of Admins was/is very snotty and self important.

I stopped posting, I think in November, and as I said before not a single person whom I was "friends' with has ever even bothered to find out why. It would have been nice for at least one of them to care to ask about my mom who died in December or how my losses were going etc. Oh well.

Looking at the boards now it is very sad. Posts go for days or weeks without being responded to. Lots of posts are answered by the "oldtimers" who are still trying to keep things together. And there is a lot of fighting and back biting going on very publicly in the threads.

Heidi only manages to answer a couple of fluff filled posts a day and most of the time to her new "pets, (if they are even real).

SL's answers, mostly, all have the words "I" and/or "me" in them as she seemingly cannot answer anyone without injecting herself into it.

"Gary"s" posts are all "I am maintaining". He posts stuff cut and pasted from all over or makes he remarks like "You can have SF Jello...just one a day..Enjoy!" Who does that sound like?

So I guess why I am trying to say is yes you are correct...The support at KK has become like the support at MCD, pretty much non exisitant.
Things changed a lot when the admins started leaving. I think many weren't posting for fear of being banned for asking questions or stating concerns, too.

Sorry to be MIA. We got horrible news on Sunday that one of my BIL's wives has been diagnosed with colon cancer that has metastasized to her lungs. She's just 38, and has a son who's 8 and a daughter 18 months old. We're all stunned.
I'm so sorry to hear this. I'll keep her in my prayers.

I'm so sorry, MagicsMom. One of my best friends was diagnosed with colon cancer a last year, a year after her husband and herself moved to Arizona to be near their daughter and granddaughter. They give her 2 years.

Saying prayers for your family.

Thank you! I will put it on my bulletin board to remind me to keep the quit. (Otherwise the teacher might make me stand in the corner).

The Chantix is great. However, I woke at 2 a.m. again and could not go back to sleep. Seeing my doctor next week and will ask if he can prescribe something for that. My njquitnet.com forum helps tremendously, too.

I can definitely see the resemblance, especially to Delta Burke. I'd not heard of Lisa, but checked out her site. You really are quite beautiful.

Terry, sorry about your SIL....my older brother was just diagnosed with it too. Prayers with you.

Trista..I agree, you are one pretty lady.

Barbara...good job on not smoking. I went cold turkey in Nov and stopped for 7 weeks. Fell off the wagon and just stopped again yesterday...one day down. Didn't want to ask for the meds as Kaisers makes you do the class and I don't want to do that.

Hey, guys and gals...you are about 8 pages away from a new thread!!

There's a story there~
Quote:
Think Pink

One of Arpaio's most noted changes was the introduction of pink underwear. Arpaio noted that the traditional white underwear, labeled with Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, was being smuggled out of the jails and sold on the streets. Arpaio thus had the underwear dyed pink, believing that pink is not considered a "macho" color, and would not be stolen. Once the public learned of the change, requests came in for orders, and Arpaio began selling customized pink boxers (with the Maricopa County Sheriff's logo and "Go Joe") as a fund-raiser for sheriff's operations.

Arpaio subsequently introduced pink handcuffs among sheriff's deputies, who were taking the traditional silver-colored ones[5]. Later, when Arpaio learned that the color pink has a known psychological calming effect, he began dyeing sheets, socks, towels, and all other fabric items in pink.

The outer uniform is not pink, but traditional black-and-white. This was part of another Arpaio-instituted change. One day, allegedly, Arpaio thought he saw an inmate escapee in the then-existing sea-green inmate uniform outside the jail (it turned out to be a hospital worker in scrubs). Later, he noted that the orange uniforms of the chain gangs were similar to uniforms used by county workers (the orange being needed for safety). Believing that inmates should be easily identifiable should they escape, Arpaio re-instituted the traditional black-and-white inmate uniforms, which even with the advent of everything else being pink has not changed.

The sheriff is a great guy. He's the one whose jails are "old style". Did you hear that before the Super Bowl this year when he heard that Paris Hilton was going to be around he basically said that she'd be watched? And that he could find accomodations for her if needed.

My hubby said that LA County should send them all (meaning the troublemaking "starlets")there for some R&R.
