Very interesting.

But, it looks like HungryBill has returned to the campaign trail. Ohio and Texas are make or break, huh?

I can ALMOST hear him saying..."I did not diet with that woman, Ms. Diaz!"

Of course that's who it is!!!!!!!!!!

One of "Bill's" post in Nov. of 2004 was "McDonalds loves Atkins!"

AND if you look at the mighty-whitey-nighty photo and take a swig o' the Capt'n, squint, turn your head to one side like the RCA dog she looks like Miss Monica (a teeny bit)

Thanks to twobig, MomtoEli, Rebel and AmyB for your good wishes. Alexis Nicole made her way very quickly into the world at 2:33 am this morning. 7 lbs 4 ounces and 20 inches long. Mom and baby doing very well.

In the meantime, while we were waiting, I got to have a good conversation over the new Woman's World Magazine that "other grandma" brought and was asking about the diet inside (its WW now). She saw the KK disclaimer last issue and so naturally, I brought them up to date on the scandal while we counted down the time waiting for the baby.

There are now two more thinking-about-dieting ladies who will never, ever fall for the Kimkins fraud

I just want you all to know that I NEVER joined the KIMKINS group, I never paid her....however, I relied on her advice via this board.

I still have "Ask Kimmer" bookmarked from way before I ever even joined this forum.

I thought she had all the answers, and that I was a fool; a failure who couldn't maintain or lose weight fast....I was strong and had willpower, but I would slip up with some salad dressing, or splenda or cream or something. I started hating myself. Why couldn't I be like that pretty "MILF".....(yeah, I remember that, along with the retin A advice, and the staying out of the sun crap). Why couldn't I be that glorious and strong????

Now that I look back, all her advice about weight loss was the same as one would find on the Pro-Ana message boards. 500 calories, epsom salts, dieters tea, low fat, low carb, low everything!!!!

I sincerely believe I have an eating disorder because of the advice I followed via Kimmer. I'll do a blog, or post more later. This whole Kimmer thing screwed me up, eventhough I never belonged to her site.....
I am just venting, girls....thanks for listening. I am telling much more that I would ever tell anyone, because I am ashamed.

I admire and appreciate all of your blogs, words, courage and wisdom. Thanks for being here.

xxoo
Nancy
Nancy! I'm sorry to hear about your eating disorder though. I'm sure you're not alone. I hope you'll find plenty of compassion and help here now (on LCF).

I wish you luck with Camp Carbaway as it sounds like you are trying to make it a safe and healthy place for people seeking diet information.
Good luck Tippy!
Tippy has surprised me many times, but this is the first time it was in a positive way. I am glad to see that she is responding to some of the questions.

I think Kimmer or Heidi has done that for YEARS!! She does the whole con of someone to set it up and someone to come in with the sell. Like "Has anyone ever heard of Kimkins?" - then another person posts- "Oh, my SIL has been doing that and lost 20 pounds in a month" ...A much better sell than someone just posting how great the KK plan is...it looks less like marketing when it is set-up as two different people discussing the diet.

They chose to blindly follow the advice of a complete stranger; chose to pay her money for that advice; chose to ignore what should have been the warning signs of her secrecy and the dicey pictures she posted of herself. And after it turns out she's a fraud, they choose to waste time by spouting pointless bile in threads like these. For months and months. I can understand being angry about it and piling on for awhile, but this is a little bit too much.

All the time some of these people spend in threads like this one could be much better spent on doing something for themselves, like learning enough so that it won't come as a shock when they are told that very low calorie diets have negative side effects, like temporary hair loss, for example. There has been more misinformation spread about dieting as a result of the exposure of Kimmer's fraud than Kimmer ever spread herself, but people are too busy laughing at the size of her ass to notice.
Point?
The Platteville Library is now offering high speed Internet access on 13 public PC's. The library currently houses over 20,000 pieces of material, including 1,500 audio books (and tapes), over 1,600 videos (VHS & DVD), 35 magazine subscriptions, more than 1,200 large print books, as well as an expanded juvenile and young adult non-fiction section
I just thought I would quote from Platteville, Colorado library website.

WOE: Low Carb
Yesterday was my first day back to LCF and Kimkins in several months, so needless to say I was shocked by what I read here and on a variety of blogs all over the internet about the truth behind Kimmer and the kimkins diet. I have to say I was very upset. When I first joined LCF in 2001 (under an old screen name, since I later forgot my password) I remember Kimmer being here and losing weight very very quickly. At the time I had lost 40 lb. and was struggling to continue losing despite staying on plan and exercising a lot, but remember thinking to myself why is this so hard for me when this Kimmer woman is posting every day that she has effortlessly lost another pound or two. I felt that there must be something wrong with me since I was trying so hard and yet even though I was losing lots of inches my weight loss stalled after a few months.

A year ago last January I was trying to get back on plan and thought I would try kimkins for a bit to get things going and came back here to LCF looking for her and her threads but she was inexplicably gone, so I googled and found her new site and like an idiot sent her $39.95 via PayPal. I was so desperate for the kind of jump start that she promised that it seemed like a bargain at the time. After several months I got busy and stopped visiting kimkins so I had no idea what was going on until yesterday. I can honestly say that I feel truly shocked and betrayed by her. I can certainly live without the $40, but what really gets me is the way she was always lecturing people here and later on her own site to be strict and questioning whether or not people were being honest when they reported what they were eating, when in fact she wasn't following the plan herself and clearly had no basis to be giving any of us diet advice. I feel like an idiot for trusting her, giving her money and following her dangerous advice.

I'm happy to be back at LCF and will get back on track with Atkins and exercise to lose weight instead. I just want to say a big thank-you to all of you here who spent lots of your personal time exposing her lies and ensuring that the word got out to current kimkins users regarding Heidi, who she really is and the dangers of the kimkins diet. The only reason I never saw it was that I was busy with a new job and missed all the news reports and internet blogs.

I can't believe that I believed her since she started reporting her unbelievable losses here in 2001. Now I know that they really were too good to be true. I'm still a member in good standing there, so when I get a chance I'll have to go back to the site to see what she's been posting about all this. I never did see the letter to members she supposedly was putting on her home page (per the M&J show), but did see a thread there following her current weight loss, Kimmer's Back on Track. When I saw that prior to reading about all about this on the internet I had no idea what was going on (hence my internet search).

Okay. At the risk of stepping on WildAngel's toes, I must post my own "you gotta see this" blog. It's Fawn. And, in her words, she "ain't the baby momma of all drama" Kimmer.

Seriously, you've gotta see this!

"Vegas Bay--bee" part deux

Will this post cause a Sunday night fly by? Incoming!!!!!

More from the trip plans; quotes between you know who and someone who is obviously either living in a cave or a sock drawer

"I've got ideas for meet & greet activities depending on how many people go and what we all want to do. Depending on when people arrive, so far I'm thinking:

July 18-20

Friday, 6-8 pm: Meet & Greet (drinks or casual buffet?)
Saturday, 10 am: "We Finally Meet!" Brunch (we'll vote on the hotel)
Saturday, 7 pm: Girls "Little Black Dress" Night Out (see a show or special event?)
Sunday, 10 am: Farewell Brunch (optional, depending on flight schedules)"

reply:

"I think your agenda is great!!! I wonder the chances would be to show case our success to Woman's World or Oprah, or Dr. Phil, or RedBook, or ????? Good Morning America? You know?!?!?! If we are able to showcase some big numbers, I think a News Release from the KimKins website might be just the ticket to showcase how well Kimkins works! Just my opinion for what it's worth!
