She is a classic sociopath who doesn't have the ability to feel remorse for her crimes. The only time Kimmer treats someone nicely is when she thinks she might be able to get something out of this person. It's how she's been able to use her own child(ren) to help her scam people. She doesn't care about anyone but herself.

What's even worse, I genuinely with all my heart believe that Heidi enjoys hurting people. She wants to spread pain, anguish, and damage people's self image. Some people have little feeling for others, but don't particularly wish to hurt anyone. Heidi is dangerous. She'd do ANYTHING to save her own hide. That's all she's concerned with.

You need time to heal. Be willing to give yourself that. Many people were scammed by Heidi. I was. Be good to yourself and forgive yourself for believing in Kimkins. The shame is hers, not yours, hon!

We're glad you've joined us here. Please know that you are NOT ALONE. Many, many folks here feel/or have felt the same as you!! Keep your chin up and don't for one second feel ashamed for trying to follow Kimmer's advice. Heidi is a con artist through and through. She's really good at her scams -Let's face it, she made a career out of it. Vent here anytime - we are all pretty good listeners and want to help you if we can.

Don't feel bad.. please.. as others have said more eloquently than I.

There are times the idea of Kimkins still sounds good, yanno? Ooo.. a pound a day.. ooo fast fast weight loss.. wow.. I want that!! Then I have to say No and smack myself really hard (but not in a fawn/tarvos/saucy/heidi kinda way lol).

It's alluring, the promises she made seem like a dream come true.. its something we all want.. and its hard to fight against it, even still.

But.. this is a great place to keep oneself in check! Thats for sure.

Just to reiterate what others have said -- don't feel bad. Kimmer, like every sociopath, is good at fooling people. I always thought she was fudging some of her stats, but I was as surprised as anyone when I learned it was all a lie. You're not alone in how she made you feel, not by a long shot.

Nancy, everyone who comes out KK land (whether the site or just following her "advice") eventually need to tell their story. Shame seems to be just one of the leftovers of Heidi's effect on people. The good thing is that when courageous folks like you begin to talk about your experience, there is a very good chance that some kkers will come out and find a healthy way to diet. It is good to have you here.

a few weeks ago I was watching American Justice on A&E--they covered this mother and son con team--Sante and Kenny Kimes--while watching all I could think of was Heidi---I sincerely believe if left to go unchecked Heidi could end up just like this and drag Brandon right along with her---the whole story runs so parallel with her it is ridiculous---google and read for yourself--see if you don't think the same....

I've seen that episode about the Kimes and it DOES sound like Heidi. That's why I live in Mayberry. The worse thing that happens here is Otis drinking too much, but he turns himself in every time. That is, after he's tied his bull he thinks is a horse up out back. You know, in this country a man takes care of his horse first!

No remorse is right. She doesn't care about the people she victimized and she intends to milk it for all it's worth. She's still signing up members and taking their money. For her, it's all about the money and nothing but the money. She's not going to stop until she's forced to stop. That is why WE can't stop!

Mayberry, Jeannie said pretty much what I would expect her to say. I think there are things she has revealed to John T. that should NOT be discussed publicly. There is no point in letting Heidi know everything we're up to, in fact its detrimental to the case. There is actually a need for some tight lips in this case. But I'm glad she responded. It takes me a step further in believing that she is sorry for helping Heidi. In a way, I think she was victimized too. Heidi stepped away and said the site was under "new ownership", left the reins to Jeannie, and just as suddenly, came and snatched the reins back. I am not positive about this part, but I think that's when she told Jeannie she could be a moderator for no pay if she wanted to stay, and Jeannie did what all of us would do - she left. I'm glad to see her say that she is sorry for the way she treated Christin and Deni on the M&J Show. I wish M&J would bring back the three of them so they could have a do-over. Maybe we should all flood them with e-mails and tell them there is more to the story and they need to do a follow up.

I have a question that could be answered by some of you that have been in this for the long haul and "know" Heidi. I haven't been caught up in this too long and really have had no personal dealings with her so I need some insight from you.

I seem to notice that on the KK forums, that she has "dry spells" where she is MIA. Maybe there will be one or two very terse posts that aren't warm and friendly at all. Then she will all of a sudden pop up with lots of posts all over the place that are the polar opposite.

These episodes, seem to me, to coordinate with any kind of increased publicity (Any Publicity is Good Publicity?) in the media or increased attention on other boards and blogs.

Does she "feed" on any kind of attention? Manic/Depression? Or is it just the Capt'n talking?

Ladies, Gentlemen, lurkers,

I am a person who is true to my word, and as such, I must give a whole hearted THANK YOU to Tippy Toes, aka Jeannie Baitinger this morning. Yesterday, I let off some steam at her after reading Amyb's must-read blog and decided that I wanted some answers.

Honestly, I NEVER expected Tippy to answer me. But she did and I'm satisfied that she IS trying to right the wrongs she committed at Kimkins. She and I never had a relationship at KK's so I did not expect her to pay any attention to my blog post. However, I'm grateful that she came forward.

So, again, Tippy, I thank you for coming forward and answering the questions I posed. This situation has been one of high emotion for all of us and I'm sure Heidi played mind-games with you just as she did with us all. I wish you luck with Camp Carbaway as it sounds like you are trying to make it a safe and healthy place for people seeking diet information.

We've all noticed and wondered about Heidi's split personality. I wouldn't be surprised to find that she is bi-polar. As I understand it, many people who are bi-polar (such as my older brother) also have narcissistic personality disorder. Heidi fits that description to a T !

I think she absolutely feeds off the attention, good or bad, because when it's bad, she thinks she's witty enough to outsmart the bad PR by sugar-coating everyone around her.

Trouble (for her) is, she's not nearly as smart as she thinks she is, although she is intelligent, and her over-confidence will lead to her downfall. You can see this now in things that are coming out and how she's trying to intimidate witnesses against her. She's hanging herself with her own rope and she's not smart enough to realize it!

Heidi has a very complex personality (and some would say personality disorder). Not knowing her personally, all we can do is speculate about what goes on in her head, but for sure there are some bats in the belfry. She was the same way here - helpful and chatty, then gone for a while, then back again. You never knew which side of her you would get when you received a response. She didn't take kindly to even the slightest hint that she was somewhat less than truthful. Now we know why.
