Yes, it's hard when we begin to realize that those who pretended to be our friends really weren't friends after all. Very difficult.

And TerryC, I quoted you to ask this question, but it is really directed to any ex-kimkinite that felt this way. It actually makes me sick to think that I may have had conversations with non-existent people. I didn't post much on kimkins, but when reading journals there I often felt a lack of personality of the poster.

I really didn't join any challenges, but I have to say that one reason I had no issues leaving the forum behind was that with the exception of one precious lady in the UK, nobody else there really ever said much to me.

I know, "to have a friend, be a friend" and all that. I do believe that. It's just that it seemed so often that it was "all about me" for most of the posters there when I was most active (face it, I joined in June! The hoppin'est time) and then the drama started with Melt and Wonder Woman, etc).

So I didn't experience much interaction with other Kimkinites. I feel here I have made many more friends. But it's because of the effort I have put forth here, it's worthwhile to me.

Now if I got kicked out of LCF, I would probably be bereft without my Ducks
