I've torn my rotator cuff twice, and the first time I had torn cartilage with it. The first time I had surgery, and the second time, a great physical therapist got me straightened out.

The arthrogram is a series of x-rays after they have injected a dye into the joint for contrast. It's no biggie.

Whether or not they operate on you depends on the nature of the tear and whether or not you have any additional complications like impingement syndrome. They normally do not operate on rotator cuff tears unless they are a full-thickness tear, and if you had that, you'd know it. It's a very serious and very painful injury requiring immediate surgery. Partial thickness tears repair themselves, but the scar tissue that gets created is very fragile. You have to do shoulder-strengthening exercises to prevent re-injury. A partial thickness tear heals well with the right physical therapy. I hope you're seeing a shoulder specialist. With my first injury that required surgery, I went to the guy who did backup surgery for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

OT...anyone here ever have an Arthrogram? or a torn rotator cup?
Torn rotator cuff, yes. I don't think they did an arthrogram. Found it on MRI. My shoulder was slightly dislocated too. Why? I sincerely hope you don't have this problem

Are you having a lot of pain? ETA: here's a great site from the Mayo Clinic about rotator cuff injury, diagnosis, treatment, etc. Rotator cuff injury - MayoClinic.com

Thanks, Magics....I fell a year ago Oct and broke my hand. Dr said I'd always have some pain so I basically ignored the arm pain and I was going through a lot with my Mom at that time too. I finally had no strength in the hand and I though it was the hand..duah, lol. Got referred to PT and it was the shoulder. I have been going to PT sence this Oct (twice a month) and it seemed to be getting better. Had the steroid shot too. Then, these last two weeks, it started aching a lot. I can move it up now but not out, like to scratch my back, etc. So the PT wants to make sure I didn't rip it or whatever when I fell. The only initial stuff we did was x-ray the shoulder to make sure I hadn't broke it. My Dr is a good Dr and I trust her but I just think it was just bothering me this last two weeks..lol (hoping anyway). Thanks to everyone for the info...I hate to not be in the know...I function better knowing what to expect, etc. The links are helpful too. Thanks bunches!! You Ducks Rawk!!

I did find it interesting that Heidi paid the bride site for the use of her red dress picture.......

Also Heidi "wants to make it right" by giving refunds......

"What a crock" is that a legal term?

I'll take a refund when it's part of the court ordered judgment.

Crock discussion reminded me of this...

Quote:
In the beginning was the Plan.

And then came the Assumptions.

And the Assumptions were without form.

And the Plan was without substance. And darkness was upon the face of the Workers.

And they spoke amongst themselves, saying, "it is a crock of poo, and it stinketh."

And the workers went unto their supervisors and said 'It is a pail of dung, and none may abide the odour thereof.'

And the supervisors went unto the managers, saying 'It is a container of excrement, and it is very strong, such that none may abide by it.'

And the managers went unto their directors saying, 'it is a vessel of fertilizer, and none may abide it's strength.'

And the Directors talked amongst themselves, saying to one another, 'It contains that which aids plant growth, and it is very powerful.'

And the Vice Presidents went unto the President, saying unto him, this new Plan will actively promote the growth and vigour of the company, with powerful effects.'

And the President looked upon the Plan, and saw that it was good.

And the Plan became Policy.

This is how poo happens!
(An oldie but still funny.)

Maybe we should all contact the website and ask them if they knew she was claiming this and if they are aware of just how much money she made from it?

If that's true, I'll bet that payment was after the fact. Like everything else. I wonder if the model is aware how her picture was used.

I read that, too, yesterday (when they still thought I was worthy of seeing the stuff and let me in. lol).
