That's nice but what was really gratifying was seeing how many of them, from all over the country, got there by doing Google and Yahoo etc. searches for things like Kimkins + dangerous and Kimkins + lawsuit and things like that.

It's working, guys

That is great news! You are doing such a fabulous job! Thank you!

You guys are cracking me up with the seamonkies thing. It's a mozilla browser. For some reason my MS IExplorer is messed up, wouldn't let me read the ABC site.

So glad to bring back such fond memories for so many...

Oh, and Honeybee2, on that ultra long post! And to everyone else that posted on there yesterday! I really think ABC is sitting up and taking notice!

If you go to the front page of abcnews ABC News: Online news, breaking news, feature stories and more and scroll down, there's a tab in the middle that's called "featured discussion", and (Yes!) it is a quote from the Kimkins diet fraud discussion. BUT when you click on any of the links, it brings you to A DIFFERENT STORY's discussion.

I emailed ABCnews last night, but it's still not working right. Maybe if a couple of others let them know they'd get it fixed faster? I dunno. They sent me an automated response, so maybe they just haven't gotten to it yet.

Yes, it is a sad story, especially when I saw that 5 people were killed. I did have some sadistic thoughts about how the crash would relate to Heidi. I like yours about a house dropping out the sky... I was thinking more in terms that she was taking a dip in the cement pond at her new house and the glare from all that flesh distracted the pilots.

You guys are bad! I too feel badly for those poor people.

At first I thought maybe it was ABC's news crew flying overhead trying to take pictures of Heidi. If I were here - I'd be always looking over my shoulder!

Everyone is doing a wonderful job Think about it -- there are 28 sites on the Just Say No to Kimkins Web Ring alone, not counting blogs which haven't joined and sites like this. If we all got an average of 100 visitors a day on just the web ring sites, we're pretty close to 3000 hits a day, which I am fairly sure based on the page rank for Hideous's site, among other thing, equals or surpasses the number of hits the Kimpire gets every day.

I made my dh watch the video I taped..(as an outsider)..What he noticed was the calorie amount..That was the most shocking thing..500..!! I do believe that was shocking everyone..as it shocked US when we heard about it last summer..

Maybe we will get more "new friends" at LCF's because of this..That would be great!!

Well, we ordered the sea monkeys, the x-ray glasses, a switchblade comb (it looked like a switchblade knife but opened to a comb- The Fonz was real big then and so we wanted one of those combs), whoopi cushion and some other things....I think we had our Daddy get a money order, we told him it was for something. I can't remember what. We sort of bypassed mom and ordered it all. I remember we were so excited for it to come and we had to try to check the mail before our parents.

Well I thought my seamonkeys were going to look like they did in the comic book. I had a goldfish bowl, cleaned it good and added the "seamonkey powder" it said in a few days I would have these sea monkeys. I remember looking at the package thinking how cute they were. They were like little families of seamonkeys. There were little ones, like babies and then big ones like the parents....on the package. They also had features. You remember, the little eyes, nose and mouths?

A few days passed and my seamonkeys started to appear....white little nondescript, stinky, things. They looked nothing like the image on the package! And my mother had a fit over the smell. The seamonkeys became my first dealings with the package not matching the contents as a consumer. Come to think of it.............
Kimmer and Kimkins is nothing more than seamonkeys without the water!Hey I think I just got the idea for my blog. lol

BTW- The glasses were cool but of course you couldn't see your bones but they did give an eerie glow to your hand. My brother was really bummed. The comb was cool too. The whoopie cushion got thrown out with the seamonkeys.
That brings back a lot of memories!

There is no doubt in my mind that "honnybe2" is heidi. I don't have any copies of the "wonderwoman" rants, but as I am remembering them, the wording in them sounds very similar to what "honnybe2" said.

WW attacked Christin the same way. Also, "hb2" seemed to have an intimate knowledge of LCF that only someone who has been involved for a long time with it would have. Who is still over at Kimkins that has been involved with LCF for a long time? Is there anyone?

I just saw the GMA story and noticed that Singing Lass, unlike Christin, does not engage the camera when she talks and her eyes wander all over the place.

BTW, I've lost 15 lbs since Jan 1 doing the Protein Power plan. I've noticed several differences from Kimkins: no SNATT, I eat more fat, upped my calories, and I feel great and never deprived.

Well thanks for visiting, and just to let you know, don't be afraid to comment and speak up on the blogs!

Your (meaning everybody)comments and support really fuel us!

Even when you put "great post" or "I never though about that" or "avenuegirl is nuts!"

I moderate, and check the spam, and if it doesn't appear to be pornographic or vile (and I'm pretty loose to begin with) then I will add the comment. Even if someone disagrees with what I am saying. Even a simple "hello" is greatly appreciated.

Hey, Woofie..Nice to see you back and congratulations on your weight loss!!!!!!

And, for an "actress" like SingingLass is, she should know about camera contact, I would think..

Someone said that there was only about 4 newbies at the Kimpire that were introducing themselves..So, ABC did it's job.. and Kimmer wasn't commenting on the broadcast..
Maybe she is planning on suing ABC..good luck..

My husband saw the GMA spot and was like, "wow!"

I don't talk much about Kimkins 'in the real world' because I am following a healthy and delicious plan and losing more than Heidi Diaz has on Kimkins, so it just never comes up. Why would it? I know I'm the real weight loss winner here. (Thanks, Dr A!)

Still, it's important for other people to be able to see what the issues are, even when they're not, themselves, dieting.

Nah, Honey, they're just brine shrimp! My mother got some about 20 years ago to satisfy her curiosity and kept them going for months. I think she even got to 2nd generation ones. Not as interesting as, say, bees, but interesting nonetheless.

But suckering gullible kids is part of their maturing process - duping otherwise intelligent mature people takes much more to convince them - like outright lies! Heidi is way past the fun-and-games advertising on the back of comics; she's actually putting lives at risk with her lies and scams.

Everyone knows someone that's dieting~ often it's a family member or close friend. So, yes, it's very important! I need to know for my DD and DGD~ and in turn, they need to know for their friends~ I think teenagers especially are vulnerable to this kind of 'crash' diet. We all know teens hear what they want to hear and the visual images out there right now makes even my slim/healthy weight DGD think she's too fat~ Last thing she needs is some money grubbing fraud feeding her (or any other young teen's) insecurities~

Woofy, my very first low-carb book was Protein Power. I love the way they scientifically explain why it matters what you eat, not just the quantity. Several posters on the GMA website have posted that all it takes to lose weight is to push yourself away from the table. They don't get it. Pushing yourself away from the table is exactly what Heidi advocates, and we see where that is getting people. But I digress..... Reading Protein Power was a light bulb moment for me. So much of it rang true. You say you have no more SNATT. I've recently read Atkins '72, and Dr. Atkins stresses over and over again that the important part is that you should feel good while you're losing weight. Feeling sick is not what should be happening, but unfortunately it's part and parcel to Heidi's plan.

I wondered why the GMA story didn't cover the portion of Kimmer using aliases, has a police record, and using her son and niece to obtain "credit"? Her site is still up and must be collecting money in some fraudulent or immoral way.

ABC poofed the GMA thread about Kimkins. Weird.

LoraJR72, they didn't get into Heidi's character issues and other crimes because there wasn't enough time for it. This story was about Kimkins only.

I think the Media goes with what the people who want them to do the story tell them...in Christins case it is health issues. If we want others to car
