honeybee2,

Why the fascination with Kimmer? #13

That's where it was.
I too, would like to see further evidence of her "work" from 10 years ago. I don't believe it for a second.

Okay. But how would that mean they can't be the same person? No argument here, just trying to follow your thinking.
Momtoeli~

I guess I didn't make that last post very clear, did I? My point is that the tone of the posts I remember by Shiphips at Kimkins were light-hearted, and self-deprecating, not the depressed, I-don't-care-if-I-die-as-long-as-I'm-skinny toned posts by Jane Doe. Of course, Ship's first posts at KK's could have been when she was still in denial about her situation. Maybe she is now in full-blown depression. That could certainly account for the huge change in tone. Then again, Jayed is familiar with Ship's posts at KK's and she stated earlier she doesn't see a big change. Who knows.

I'm inclined to think now that Ship and Jane are the same. From what Medusa posted Ship has decided to leave KK's. I hope that she gets a handle on her eating and treats herself with more kindness. Getting away from Kimmer's influence is the best decision she could have made.

There's something about this that just bugs me. Could a woman with enough of a sense of humor to call herself "Shiphips" really turn into Jane Doe? The world may never know.

It's a copy of one of Kimmer's posts. It's almost to the bottom of the blog post. Here's the entire paragraph for context:

Like they've been around for at least 10 years.
Sounds more like she is admitting to having an eating disorder for 10 yrs..

Okay,
Here's a blast from the past.

hi kimmer,
i was wondering if you are down to your goal weight
and if you are how long did it take you to get there?
also, how long did you stay on induction.
i just cant believe the differnce in your pictures.
you look like two differnt people.
i hope also to suceed.
hope you dont mind the questions.
by the way, what would you say is the worst food
to eat that stalls a person.i my self cant eat cheese
and i really love cheese!!!!
thanks in advance kimmer!!!

It's OK to ask questions! Someone asked some of the same on this thread, so it might help you:

Kimmer, what do you eat now...

Don't compare your loss to mine, I'm a fast loser (and gainer!) I have lost weight enough times to know what was important to me, so I chose the fastest route. This may not be the best way for others ... especially if they aren't experienced in low carb.

Have you joined any Challenges? It's a great way to get support from people in the same boat!

I lost 160 lbs in 7 months, including 11 lbs overnight. But, don't compare yourself! I stayed on strict Induction for the 7 months, then took a couple more months for the last 20 lbs.

Thank you for the compliment! I was at the beginning of my divorce in the first pic and with a "special someone" in the second ... that can make all the difference!

Of course, now we know that her after picture isn't her, so who's the special someone?

For what it's worth. Kimmer joined Nov 2000, so unless she flunked math, it's not even 8 years since she's been a 'kimmer'. Does she have a past before LCF???

Since I cant log onto Kimkins and can only view the front page with that small photo, could someone please enlarge Heidis newest photo and post? Im dying to see that mug up close. There is no way in Gods Green Earth that her face could look that drastically different from the deposition unless shes had major cosmetic surgery...and or a lot of Photoshopping.

I don't know either. Someone who knows a whole lot more than me about eating disorders would have to weigh in on whether or not there is a progression to the disease, especially if a person is not succeeding at losing. I hope she gets away from Heidi's influence, too, and gets help from someone who can truly help her - someone who isn't interested in using her to secure her own place in the diet industry. I also hope she reads the survivors stories and finds solace in knowing that many, many others have bought Heidi's line - smart, capable, courageous women - just like I imagine SH is.

That was probably the night she delivered a baby ...

... or set down the sugar cookies with sprinkles. A few boxes of those would weight 11 pounds, don't cha think?
